"Hey, Ever?" The girl called over, grabbing a glass of water from the kitchen. Her hair was still damp after the short shower she had grabbed a little while before. Slicked back because she had just brushed it, it had started to dry and frizz up and would probably be back to maximum frizz content in another hour or so.
Approaching the male, she took another sip of the drink, and looked at her feet for a moment. Drawing the glass away, she sighed and looked up.
"...I've been thinking, dangerous idea i know. Uhm. I really want to uh... test, my new power. I have used it once and it was effective enough... and I know you said to tell you when i was going places." Another fidget.
"I want to go find a senshi and test it out in real time. I really dont know ah...where to look though. I kinda also don't want to go alone."

He had work; maybe an hour and a half until he had to be there, but he was still in 'bed' with his feet propped up, in his pajamas, book open across his knees. Out too late, and it meant that Ever was unwilling to lever himself up, unable to care enough to be on time. For a brief time, he'd been almost dependable. Now he was easily distracted, again, later and later, all the time...
His eyes twitched up onto Sabine as she asked, one eyebrow raised in question, the words slowly sinking in. Once their meaning had clicked in, at least, he straightened -- setting down the book and considering Sabine.
"...uh. When? Now?" It was early, for Ever. Usually he went out hunting a bit later...

"....Well, yeah? Is now a bad time?" It had taken a lot of time for her to build up the nerve to even ask this of Ever, even though he had asked that she did. It still was awkward. 'hey ever want to go out and find a senshi with me kthnx?' did not seem the way to really ask...
Now was the time she actually got the energy to ask. "Would you mind? I dont know are senshi active all times of the day? "

"I guess they are." It came slowly, hesitating -- and then Ever sighed, levering himself up out of his blankets. It would take him a few minutes to poke through for clean clothes, his eyes flicking back to her as he worked.
"It's okay. Sure. We can go poke around some..." And he wouldn't mention to her that he was supposed to be at work. Sabine would just worry, or feel bad, or maybe go on her own if he did. That wasn't being properly available. "Hunt down energy signatures. Find a guinea pig."

"I'm still not too good with this energy reading thing... you think you could look up someone?" She waited leaning against a wall while he was getting ready. Taking a last sip of the water, she moved to set the glass back on the counter. She would probably use it again later so why put it with the dirty pile just yet?
She waited until he was dressed before making a move for the door. "Power up some distance away..." She more was just telling herself as a reminder.
"Do you have anyone specific or....specific area's to look?" This was a first for her, last time she looked for a specific senshi she was told exactly where to go.

"I usually just comb the place, more than anything else." He paused to blink at her as he held out his pants -- and then gestured in a slow-turning gesture, so that she would look away as he changed into them. It'd be nice if she'd even drape hands over her eyes, definitely not look...
Once she did, Ever set to hauling them on, hopping awkwardly into his clothes and debating. "We can just poke around an area where a lot of people go energy-farming. That should work pretty well."

Making sure it was safe again before turning around, not wanting to see Ever undressed, she blinked a few times curiously. "Where DO you guys energy farm at anyways? Busy areas? Not so busy areas? Like... a Mall? Or..." She really had no clue about this energy stuff. Painite had promised her she would show the senshi how to energy drain... something she would probably need to ask about, and soon.
"Im not certain how this shield will effect senshi... or heck im not even sure how it effects us." She blinked. "Alkaid had no problems being inside of it...."

...a mall. Ever stopped listening right around then, as realization dawned and his expression went wide -- then thoughtful. A mall was just about the most brilliant place to farm he could think of, second to a bar, to a club. All those people, tired and frustrated, trudging through store after store, probably not drinking enough water. Solos with 'just one errand' they had to run or groups that split up, planning to meet later at the Smoothie place...
It was too brilliant to pass up. So he stored it away for later. Perhaps he'd go and investigate a bit more thoroughly.
Eventually, he blinked back into focus, twisting to face Sabine and then easing forward to shove his feet into shoes. "...uh. I don't...yeah, sure. Well, we can poke around some. And try to stay out of sight, since we'll be visible right around now..."

"Should we try looking around out of uniform first then?" It sounded like he wanted to try finding a senshi while hidden, and a captain and eternal senshi's aura were not something that could easily hide. In fact, some of the weaker senshi might actually run away if they felt such a beast of a combination wandering around.
"We could always play the wait and bait game." Something that Painite had taught her during their conversations together.

"One of us in uniform and the other out." He looked her over as he tied up his boot, mouth spreading into a wide flash of a grin. Amused, somewhat helplessly so, by the idea of Lyra playing the monster to his victim. She wasn't as convincing a bad guy, at five feet tall, as he was. The flippy little skirt didn't really help, nor the pig tails...
"I suspect you have a better scream than I do, so you're probably the better choice for bait. But if you'd rather the other way around, I'm okay with that too." He grabbed his keys and straightened to hold the door for her.

Pouting a little, her eyes narrowed. "I can be convincing!" .... Yeah she was not pushing that one on anyone. No one would believe that, specially the expression on her face currently. Frustrated and yet a red tinge.
Looking to the side, she knew the truth. "....Ok fine they might take the mountain man more seriously." Looking around, she gave a bit of a smile. "You even have the snow on top." of course, she meant his white hair.
Slipping out the door, she bounced a little into the alley way turning to face him a little. "Power up for now, find a location, and ill depower?"

"Sounds like a plan to me." And that was all it took, as far as Ever was concerned; he shifted into uniform and grabbed her hand to haul her along, up to the roofs and over.
He wanted somewhere busy, but with nooks and crannies. Somewhere crowded enough that a senshi might be patrolling in search of a fight, 'protecting' the innocent against trouble, but not so crowded that they would get mobbed by strangers. The mall was definitely more than he wanted, right about now, for this experiment.
They'd end up, breathless, around the corner from the Sovereign Heights main campus, where most students stumbled out for lunch between studying and homework. Ilmenite, thus far, had mostly run into young senshi. They all seemed to be under eighteen. Maybe, though, one of them would come out this way...
He raised an eyebrow at Lyra, meaningfully, as they drew to a halt. "We don't want to attract vigilante students. Just senshi."

"College?" She narrowed her eyes at the school as she read he name on the side of the building. "...No a prep school. For college?" She guessed, eying it. Fluorite had taken her out and explained a few things - so these were familiar to her. She had jsut not known the locations of them. She would need to ask Ever later to show her where DCU was as well... and maybe the other highschools.
A last nod. "Time to play victim." She laughed, leaping off the edge of the building and down in to a deserted alley. She did not want to be seen leaping off a building juusssst yet.... Standing up, she breathed in deeply, closing her eyes and letting it out slowly. "Okay...." Waiting until he was at least close enough to see her.... she ran out of the alley and closer to the school, looking ANYTHING but calm. She gave out a bit of a shriek as she darted out in to the open. Trying to wheel around to look at her 'attacker', she lost her footing and stumbled (but that wasn't pretending, she really did trip over something and scrape her knee. She hoped Ever wouldn't tease her for that later.)

Ilmenite huffed out a breath as she took off, hesitating in the alleyway -- because, well, this was a little bit too silly. Lyra was getting good at this, maybe, but all he could think of was how ridiculous the situation was. He'd never chased down a screaming senshi in his life, and he wasn't good at acting tough or mean.
So, for the time being, he kept his voice quiet, stomping to stand over her with bolas twisting around his fingers. His posture was tense, vaguely threatening, and his tone was huffy but -- "You are absolutely ridiculous, you know that? I feel like an idiot."

Narrowing her eyes, she pouted back at him. "Oh come on play along! Dont be a sour puss!" She had a faint smile touching her lips, she seriously was finding it hard to not smile nd laugh at his expression. He looked miserable... and somehow it amused her.
Looking down at her knee though, she did wince. Her stockings were ripped at the knees and a faint red was seeping through her skin. That was going to be fun later...
Pushing herself to her feet, she stumbled again. Running away from Ilmenite was sort of like he was playing tag with her...yes, tag. Thats what it was. "Help!" She cried out. The students around the school did everything BUT help. They gave the duo a wide birth... averting their eyesight. This was what they usually did when something 'magical' was close. Dont see, dont tell rule...
