He had seen his cubs grow.. all except two. Two had left at an early age, well. one ran away in a desperate flee to try and escape a future that was not of her pride's. Aadi had lost her when she crossed the great canyons beyond the pride and forever blamed himself for it. When Nox was an adolescent he vowed to find his sister.. For he knew, that was what plagued his parents. Aadi had never fully gotten the idea of being in a pride, and when his daughter flew out of his grasps.. he started to despise the sight of the pride.. Hated it. It grew an anger within him to know that he could not help his daughter. Blaming, and blaming lead to him constantly being distant from his normally affectionate self. There would be solid nights that he would stand on the tallest rock and scope for hours at a time. He duties to the pride seemed empty of emotion through the whole thing.
Though sometimes he would find homage within his wife Ama, looking in to her eyes brought back the pain of losing his daughter and the son that looked after. It had been so long now since she had gone. That it seemed routine to find him gone for a few days and come back empty handed.. but always returned.. and the distance between the life he knew now. Was different when he first held his daughter in his arms. It wasn't that he loved one more than the other... No. But she was marked as the most painful to see her go and slip through the cracks and he couldn't do a damn thing. Hopeless and left with that empty feeling that nothing could replace.
Soon.. he started to calm but was more distant when he grew calmer. At any given moment, with the subject of who left.. would make him disappear again.. The Aadi he knew in his cub life started to scream out. It was like being trapped in a place- he never knew himself to be this way and started to yearn more and more. Leaving for the roguelands and finding himself not wanting to come home.. His cubs had made their decisions. Now adols, he wanted something more than what this place was- especially with having a heartbreak such as that.
Standing lonesome on the rock... starring in to the beyond.
His dark pelt cascading a shadow behind him that started to consume the earth around them. Dark was arriving.. his favorite time of day when he was a child..

Amaranta stood pacing slightly a lot had been on her mind, particular since her twins had left. She had seen how unhappy Nox had been in the pride lands and she knew that when his twin had left there was nothing that would keep him in the pride, his twin was the one thing that had kept him in the pride. Nox was just like his father a wonderer at heart. Amaranta had began to wonder if staying in the pride was the wrong thing to do. Aadi had always wondered too and fro she had never wanted to make him feel trapped. Now the Amaranta wasn't sure that the pride lands were even the right place for her, the nights that Aadi was away Amaranta was always up and worried she couldn't sleep.
Amaranta was waiting now for a time that he might come hime, she would look for him coming over the crests of the hill, he always tended to come from high ground. She pushed her feet around in the sand waiting for her maite to come hom and wondering if perhaps she should be ready to leave.

When the night absorbed the ground, he knew it was time to go back home. Closing his eyes to search for the reality he knew.. Before Rhea, he was happy in the pride. Able to snuggle his children and now that was all gone. Then he finally turned when it was time to come back home. His head hung low, almost always when he returned with nothing... before he made some haste when arriving and looked up as his ears perked. His wife, Ama. A soft smile grew across his face so softly..yet sad.
Before he came up to her side finally and greeted her with lick and a rub to the face. Seemingly detached and quiet like what 'normal' was for him now that everyone left. Did he want to talk about it? No.. that'd only cause him to flee again. Make SURE he found her this time but that didn't work.. He looked away from her for a moment. Silence, as he didn't know why she just didn't sleep... Being almost ashamed of himself.
"My wife.. You should be sleeping." His soft so masculine and tender all at once.

Amarnta nuzzled Aadi as she came up to him, excited that he had come home, she stillgot butterfiles in her stomach when she saw him, she loved him as much as she did the moment they met. It was because of this love that she knew the time had come for her to make a sacrifice for Aadi, like he had over and over again for her. Aadi had come to live in her pride because it was ehr home, the only one she had known and she had been too afraid to leave it, so he had left for her. Now Amaranta could see that her love was hurting and perhaps the best she could do for him was to leave the pride she called home and search for their twins.
"I know I should be sleeping my dear but I couldn't stop thinking about you and worring. I know you are unhappy my love and we both miss Nox and Rhea. Perhpas its time we go." She looked into Aadi's eyes knowing she would be able to read his feelings. and thoughts just as he would be able to read hers.

To her knowledge, he was selfless but sometimes he felt selfish when he left. When everything seemed like the only importance was leaving but he loved his wife, his kids and that was what was tearing him apart inside. Both twins left now, the oldest twin leaving to go find his sister when he was still young but old enough to take care of himself. Aadi, taught Nox the way of the solider and yet was tender to show compassion but like him. Nox's heart called out to the roguelands..
"And our other children? Nox and Rhea are not the only ones..." He spoke softly and slinked closer to her. Softly nuzzling her cheek with his own. "This is your family, your pride.. I will not make you leave because of my wondering feet. I need to accept the roguelands have our children and i can not do anything to change that."

Amaranta offered her husband a kind smile, Aadi had been more then kind ot her and given her everything her heart had ever desired it was her turn now and she was glad that she was finally able to give him somethig. "Ah yes I now the twins aren't the only ones." she said a soft tone to her voice thinking of the night she had given birth to the cubs. "But the twins are out alone now, and the girls they are safe here, even without us. I have plenty of family here the girls will be well taken care of."
She nuzzled the male lightly letting him know that all this was truely coming from her heart. "I do not resent you for you feets desire to wonder about, you have always cared for us as well my Aadi. Perhaps it is my time to care for you." she said softly. "We can be ready to go within the week" she told him with confidence in her voice, "I will take care of it all, jsut say the word my dear."

He looked at her with such longing eyes. She had finally become the girl that saved him then the other way around. Prides were not his for-tay unless with his WHOLE family but it wouldn't be fair- to shove them in to another pride. With Rhea's sight, she said a war was coming.. Was it this pride? He didn't know and that's what made him also uneasy of leaving any of the children here but he guessed with family is more safer than any place. Traveling the two of them for the twins would be safer than the bunch. "She talked about a war coming... I didn't know to where- I don't know if that is where she went to.. or ran away from." He admitted.
"Leaving them here.. if they are safe..then we can go in to the night tomorrow. Love and cherish them tonight before we leave.. and kiss their heads for we don't know when we are coming back.. but I plan to for they are our children." Rubbing his face against hers.. "The outside is very different Ama.. I even worry for you.. I wished you stay with the children but.. If you wish to come with me I shall not force you."
Softly nudging her shoulder and neck with a light groom here and there. "I shall rest.. spend time with our kids and plan out the night for tomorrow. You have time to think on it my love.." Then made his way beyond that of the den.. seeing two sleeping bodies as he slinked passed them and coiled in the back of the den as to not disturb anyone.. Still distant and still cold to the touch sometimes..

Amaranta nuzzled Aadi as he spoke, she was a little worried about him and the way he spoke, her Aadi, the Aadi that she met so many moons ago was not this Aadi, this Aadi was not happy was not the wondering soul she once knew. Amaranta felt bad for having kept him tied down with her so long, but now now they could have an adventure together. "We will find them my love together. Nox will probably find Rhea long before we do, he has a connection to his twin that we can't even come close to understanding." Amaranta had noticed the twins had a connection when they were nothing more then day old cubs. Like Rhea, Nox also had the sight and she had always felt that his sight was some how quite attuned to his sister.
"Our cubs here will be well taken care of but we will stay the night tonight, an leave tomorrow after sun set you are right. The girls will understand they love there brother and sister a great deal. I will make sure to talk to my sisters and brothers, no harm will come to the two here while we are gone. One day we will return to them I have no doubt." she was trying to soothe him.
When he turned and went into the den she followed him without a moment of hesitation, the two girls though nearly fully grown were sound asleep curled up together Amaranta felt a wave of sadness fall over her for the daughters she was to leave behind, but she knew they would be taken care of, and she needed to act for Aadi and the twins now. She too moved quietly around them to the back of the den not wanting to wake them, there would be time for explanations and goodbyes in the morning.
"This will be my first adventure." she told Aadi, a young sparkle to her ageing eyes. "I'm glad it will be with you." she told him nuzzling into his fur as she got ready to sleep.

The breaking of his heart when he went in to the den, to see his two darling daughters. Now able to hunt on their own, choose their own paths...but leaving them here? Knowing one other had the sight? How hard he tried to 'hide' them from others taking advantage of the sight. He hoped they could hold their own in that battle if he were not there to protect them from being used. He knew what they would do to them... ship them to that island. The very thought made his stomach crawl but one thing he did teach them.... was the strength of will power and the basics his mother taught him.
He could only hope, as he grazed his maw over their foreheads.. Softly kissing them and rubbing his paw evenly around their faces, so soft and tenderly. They made him proud... all of them... or he hoped the other two were still aliv- no. They had to be. As he felt his mate come up beside him.. Uttering the words that made his heart start to warm again.. Adventure.. The roguelands... How his paws ached to wonder again.. and with her? He could only know himself to be tore- make her stay in safety- or the want for them to explore the world together.. The later choice was far more greater in devotion..
Incling his neck back and against Ama's chin when he rose up his head to her. The uttering whisper he had always wanted to hear since their youth. That old smile he had once wore all the time came back to him.. "I've waited a long..long time to hear those words..." Softly bringing his maw up to kiss her softly before circling around his daughters and promptly laid in front of them, almost a foot away or so.. Watching in to the den at them not wanting to a miss a thing, and if his mate came to him, he would hold her.... like the aadi she had first known..

When the morning came, he was promptly awake and setting up measures with a friend in the pride for the girls' protection. while he was gone. Killing game early in the morning to bring back as a finally gift before they left.. They would need to get their fill before enbarking on the journey and for sure he would want his mate to be as healthy as she could be if she did really want to go. During his hunt, he imagened her getting cold feet, or not wanting to leave the safety of the pride.. He would understand and prepared for the answer when he dragged that big body of that Tamu ( cow looking long horned prey animal forget their names ).. along to help him was his lion buddy whom he bidded farewell half way up the path..

Amaranta woke a little after Aadi left the den. She rose quickly and had gone on a quick round of the pride's lands. She said good bye to the family that remained there and let them know she would return. She knew that her two girls that were staying behind would be well taken care of. She was sitting at the mouth of the den when Aadi returned.
"Im all set." she told him in a soft purring voice. She knew that Aadi would love this adventure and was actually a little excited to go out into the unknown with her mate as a guide. She hoped that she would be able to find her lost twins.
