I may be wrong but yaoi fangirls reached into very weird level of enthusiasm for yaoi that no yuri fanboys ever reach. For example, they known for "killing" every female characters that get into their favorite yaoi pairings in their fanfics and even worse, create clubs dedicated on hating them. It seems like they hate every single woman on this planet except themselves.

Last time I checked, they like gay men getting it on in the bedroom. I've never heard of yaoi fangirls (The Japanese term for them is "fujoshi".) hating on other women.

Again, this is the first time that I've heard of that happening. Thus, I have no idea why they are heterophobes. =O

Same here. I'm a complete Yaoi fan girl (look at my siggy) and my best friend doesn't like Yaoi. She doesn't hate it, but she isn't into it like me. And how can Yaoi fan girls be heterophobic if most of them are heterosexual?

To me... As a yaoi fan... It was never about 'hating' girls in general. It's just that.... Being a yaoi fan who graduated from smut and mature heterosexual stuff... I hate seeing other girls getting laid and my favorite guys touching them and their 'parts' which I hate always being emphasized in heterosexual manga romances. Call it jealousy. But... If two guys get hot with one another, you get two hot guys and no jealousy of some other girl getting touched! Win-win! Go yaoi!

"Well,if you go to a extreme and say that then i guess.I myself am a yaoi fangirl(yes i am a girl even though my avi is male) but i wouldn't say that i dislike the actual straight parings that are given out very bluntly(or hinted throughout a story).Sometimes i shut out some obvious straight parings because the female character seems to be well off to me and not right for the male character.I enjoy all yaoi,it's nothing new to me.Though, hating all women but not myself is going a bit too far fetch in my view."

Being head over heels for a girl who wouldn't even look me in the eye! ...But she's the only girl in my eyes so seeing other girls doesn't excite me as she does. Wow... Yuri fanboy. Cool. I have this friend [girl] and she loves yuri to bits for I don't know what reason!

No female character IS EVER right for the male character. I mean, just take a look at Omamori Himari or To love-ru. And actually, I've noticed that yaois tend to be a lot more blunt and in your face at times.

"Hahahaha i agree with your statement,'No female character is EVER right for the male character',i feel that they come on too sudden and it feels awkward just watching it though.Every yaoi i ever read is 'in your face'.They tend to point out the obvious and the parings are too opposite for me to enjoy because one male character is 'weak' and annoying.I don't go for that type of yaoi.(i'm amazed that i have type)I like the parings to go natural, maybe a scenario where their feelings grow into something more and not are blunt and out of no where. In truth i dislike some of the female characters because the bring about the common stereotype in women.Which makes me pissed off."

I guess the stereotyping is one of the only ways to bring about conflict in the het seinen ecchi harem animes. So I guess it can't really be helped.
