Pink Myth

Elam stretched and walked lightly through the pride lands. The pale lion was a happy his life was coming together nicely though he was never really in a place that was bad. He had his banu and everyone seemed to be setlling in nicely. Elam made his way to the watering hole he felt that it was there was the place that he was most likely to meet someone to talk with.

Elam wasn't really lookng for anything in particular he jsut wanted some company.

Mirima was resting under a tree her fur was ruffled up and she looked like she had been put through a tough time. She sniffled softly an rubbed her cheeks against her gloved marked paws to wipe away the tears that fell. She had been along for along time now and she did her best to stay sane and not get in anyone's way she never liked to be a bother.

"What...did I do wrong?" She asked softly as she felt so tired. She moved to the water to get a drink before giving up and moving a bit further in to soak her body before coming out. She wasn't looking where she was going as she bumped into the average looking male. She took a step bank blinking a moment before she looked away timidly.

"Excuse me..." She whispered softly to the male before getting out of his way so he could enjoy the water.

Elam was able to see the look on the young females face and he felt his heart sink, he couldn't handle seeing anyone upset he had the same softness that his mother had and he couldn't bare to see anyone upset... his father would call him weak. Elam preffered to think that he was compassionate.

"Oh dear" he said softly. "Are you okay?" he knew that it was a stupid question but he didn't know what else to say. He had already forgot that she had bumped into him.

She blinked a moment stopping in her tracks. This pad was talking to her actually acknowledging that she was there and not an outcast. She began to grow a bit more timid now as she gave a small nod. "I've fine...thank you for asking." She said her voice was sweet and kind. She then began to move back over to her place beside the tree. She curled up on the grass looking to the sky seeing that the darkness was quickly approaching.

She moved to rest closer to the tree wanting to feel something beside her even if it was wood and not a living creature that gave off heat. She looked to the male once more seeing him still standing there it made her a bit nervous. "Can I help you?" She asked before looking to the sky hearing the loud roaring noise as a storm began to brew in the distance.

Elam watched her quietly he wasn't sure what he should say to her. He got the impression that she didn't really want to speak to him but at the same time he did't feel right just walking away from somone who was clearly upset.

"No I don't need any help." he siad to her kindly he cocked his head to one side and watched her closely. "I was mearly wondering if there was something that I could do to help you. I don't like to see such a sad soul."

Her head picked up slighlty as she looked to him before giving a small blush. It had been a long time since anyone wanted to pay her any attention. "Ahh...well...ummm." She blushed a little more as she stood moving closer to the male.

She then turned away a moment before letting out a small whine as she heared the thunder clap from the storm a few miles away. "I'm rather lost...I used to leave near here but...I went out one day and it was a night much like this. I got scared and I...I ran trying to head back to home but I must have gotten turned around." She said as her eyes began to tear up a little.

Elam listened wondering if perhaps she had come from his home. he glanced back towards his home lands. He also heard the thunder but he didn't even flinch. Elam wasn't worriend much about the rain and getting wet but he was a little concerned about Moema back home.

"Could you tell me more about your home. I am from this area and know it well but to be sure tell me more." Elam would be more then happy to take her home, four banus was a lot but at the same time he would be happy to just take her home to her home.... even if it wasn't with him.

She blinked a few tears away as she began to think a moment before she smiled and began to descirbed her home to the lion before her she started to get a litlte more happy with each word she said her ears perked up her stance loosened and her tail relaxed behind her.

"I miss it so much there...I was never alone I always had someone to talk to." She said before frowning and looking down at her gloved paws. "but...what if I can't find it what if they don't remember who I am?" she said as the tears started to come back she lifted her head to look at the male. "What if...they don't remember who I am?"

Elam offered a kind smile "Now my dear I am sure that no one could forget someone as beautiful as you." he turned his head to the side, he knew a few had gone missing from the pride lands, it was a sign of a bad pad for one of his banu to go missing. He wondered if perhaps that there was a great chance that she had come from his home. He knew the area around her fairly well and he knew that there wasn't a fair number of prides within close distance.

"I live close to here in a pride I wonder if there is a chance you came from there. Say do you remember if you had a father and many mothers?" it was the simplist way he could ask, if she had been from the pride she would know what she was asking.

she blushed a little hearing him say such sweet things to her. She smiled a litlte before wincing hearing the storm once more. shaking her head softly as she moved a bit closer to him as her eyes darted to the sky nervously. "N-no...I was not born in the pride." She said softlas she looked to her paws. "I was chased from my first pride because of the way I look."

A loud thunder clap came and scared the girl to moving closer with a small whine. "Its so scary at night sometimes." She muttered softly before looking around wishing her eyes would stop playing tricks on her.

"I had lots of sister though...that wheren't really my sisters and a male...I liked him alot but...I never felt important." She replied softly shaking her head trying to get the images away.

Elam thought slowly no female would have been run out of the pride, they were a valuable object in the pride, pads were frowned upon if they lost one and this female seemed far to timid to have caused enough trouble to be punished like that.

"Well I am sorry my dear I do not know of a pride that would have done that to you but I could bring you home to mine. We are diffent then most prides you see males there take more then one mate. I am a pad there you see. The female work together to keep the den and produce offspring and as a pad I take care of all of you." he wasn't sure if her had done a good enough of a job explaining it but he hoped that perhaps she would be intriuged, "If you wanted you could come back there with me."

She thought a moment before giving a small nod. "I...I'd like that." She said wincing once more hearing the thunder she moved closer to him now resting her side against his. "y-your really warm." she said softly her ears flatting against her head.

"I miss...being apart of something bigger." She said as she let him lead her back to the Ukuucha'Wafalme pridelands.
