It was one fine day in the forest near a small body of water where Sacha was swimming in since it was very hot. After a few minutes of feeling cool again he jumped out to the grass and shook off his coat, letting drops of water fly all around him like a sprinkler. The young male wolf rest down on his stomach to take a sun bath since his mother was off on a hunt for their food. It would take a while since his mother would return since she wanted something with alot of meat to hold them over for a few days, at the least.

Of course he was bummed out that he couldn't join and practice his hunting since he was just getting better but alas, he loved his mother and would listen to her even if it went against his ideas. It was lonely here near the water and in this big enough space for them. Perhaps he could ask his mother if they could travel somewhere to meet other wolves since Sacha longed to have a friend in this lone existance.

Takito was walking softly along the side of the river, his eyes one the momentary flash of fish leaping out sparkling in the sunlight before diving back into the cool depths. It was like they were taunting him, teasing him with the knowledge that he didn't wish to kill for a meal. Starvation would be eminent at this point, unless he could find something already dead. Fresh kill would be nice but at this rate he would take anything that wasn't rancid.

He paused a moment to shake away those thoughts before again picking a neat path between some broken stones. He wasn't here to feel pity for himself, he was supposed to be finding something to pass time and put his mind on brighter things. The young male snorted scornfully at himself and lifted his muzzle, inhaling the warm fresh air. He could smell something interesting, almost like that of the pack, but.. less so.

Crouching close to the ground he worked his way down stream, ears pricked and wary as he listened for the sound of movement. Something was there, and maybe they had a meal for him? He would be willing to wait for the leavings if that was what it took to get something into his empty belly.

Sacha dozed off at the warmth of the sun on his back. It was truly a fine day, the wind picking up to stir his fur and the water until he caught a particular scent that had his ears perking and his eyes opening slowly. It was a scent that told him a wolf was near by and it wasn't the scent that told it was his mother. Getting up, he looked around alert and cautious. What was it that his mother told him? 'Never give your enemies your back' That was it.

Looking for the direction of the scent he faced towards it, giving his back the background and tilted his head to the side. "Who goes there?" He asked, politely and not wanting it to be an aggressive wolf. Sacha wasn't at that level of training with his mother and would soon ask her to give him a crash course on how to face one. Yet there was no scent of aggression so maybe this was just a cautious passing wolf instead.

The words spoken, even at a distance startled Takito. The voice didn't seem to hold any aggression, but he still hadn't really thought through what he was going to do when he came across the owners of the strange scent. Now that he was faced with it, he had to think fast.

Moving slowly, and keeping a calm air about him, Takito pushed his way through the last of the brush and faced... someone about his age it seemed. He tilted his head a bit ears tilting forward. "I am Takito, uh, ..."

Well, how nice, what are you supposed to say after your name? He sighed a little, his tail wagged a bit to show he was not planning anything bad. "I was hungry, I.. had hoped you had something left of a kill here." Perhaps the young male was giving away too much, but he was not about to lie.

Sacha blinked. The wolf blinked more at the male wolf, correction Takito, who stood before him still at a good distance from him. The male looked to be around his age, give or take, with a calm aura around him. There was nothing that gave away that this polite interaction couldn't turn dangerous. Even if Sacha was staring hard at Takito, trying to listen to all that his mother had told him about being cautious no matter what but....He couldn't.

Not when Takito admitted what sounded and felt like the truth. Especially when lies had a way of giving a horrible scent. Shaking his head and relaxing some, Sacha almost forgot his manners and gave Takito a friendly, wolfish grin. "I'm Sacha. I do have a bit of food left off that I caught a few hours ago. I hope you don't mind some fish. My mother isn't here, this is all I could get without losing this area to others." The young male told Takito honestly. There was no need to lie when the other wolf wasn't going to do so. Plus it was bad manners since him and his mother had nothing to hide from anyone they would ever come across.
