Short bio of captain and ship: Ceri stole a ship from the Spanish Navy when they destroyed the town in which she had sought refuge. She and the few survivors tried to find refuge within the other colonies, even those not governed by Spain, and were denied entry to all. So, with no other choice, the ship and crew turned to a life of piracy. They constantly take in new crew members, whether they're runaways, castaways, or stowaways.

Really it just was for sailing wherever they wanted to, not for any acts of piracy.

Character Bio: Ceri was raised by a wealthy Spanish family in a colony in Venezuela. When her parents were killed by a pirate raid when she was fifteen, she swore her revenge on all pirates and disguised herself as a man so she could join the Spanish Navy. She rose in the ranks until the day she was discovered. Expelled from the Navy, she was condemned to death and so Ceri fled. Ceri took refuge in a small commune not far from where she grew up. But the Spanish followed her, destroying the people she had come to love. Along with several other survivors, Ceri stole a ship and began a life she never dreamed she would have.

Character Bio: Raised by his mother in a port town in England while his father often went away on business, Demyan worked as a dockhand to fund his half-sister's dreams of owning and piloting a ship. However a woman as a captain wouldn't be very popular, so Demyan took the lead and they began a merchant's life. When they offered their assistance to a gruff bounty hunter, things went down the drain when they became friends. A merchant didn't commonly sail where he wanted to with no reason and made port anywhere it pleased him. Branded pirates, they were forced to live a more free life as well as more dangerous on the open sea. One night in a tavern, Demyan, his half-sister, and his friend were assaulted by soldiers of some navy they couldn't recognize. A fight ensued. Demyan earned a scar and his friend (who lost his right eye in the brawl) and half-sister were arrested. Now the only way he can free them is to pay their bail, an immense amount that he could only acquire through the race he learned about.

Character Bio: David can not remember a time in his life when he didn't want to be a soldier in the King's Navy. Once he was old enough, David joined up and became a sailor in the name of the Crown. Though content with his current rank, David always felt like he could be more. He now awaits orders from his commanding officer in Port Royal, hoping that it will give him a chance to show what he's truly worth.
