 The large lion stretched while he let out a giant yawn. Uri had just had a very nice nap a top a boulder and now he decided that a stroll around the pride's lands where well deserved. Uri didn't really talk much to those around the pride other then his family that was. Uri was to say the least socially awkward. He didn't really know how to talk to others, he had spent most of his time talking to the rocks when he was a cub and now as an adult he was beginning to come aware of the fact that this wasn't normal. Uri had never realized that it was't normal his mother had always heard voices and been a little off. Uri was never as bad as his mother so he figured thigns would be alright.
Now Uri foudn that he was a little on the lonely side he was a grown male who had his own den, but he had no friends no one to cuddle up to at night. Uri wasn't really into the the sentimental aspects of life but he did have what one would call natural instincs and those instincs where starting to tell him that it was time to find a mate. Someone who would be kind and understanding.

Moja was in the midst of her duties as the pride's nanny, and she was watching cubs at her post. Soon another lioness would be taking over for her and she would have time to eat or take a break from the cubs who were presently crawling all over her. She loved children, and had had five of her own, but only had been able to raise one, and once looked after a Huria before he left the pride. When another lioness came over to take over the duty of cub sitting, Moja left and wandered off.
Her own cub was long since grown and was old enough to have cubs of her own, but Moja desperately wanted cubs again. However... She didn't know many males of the pride intimately, to say the least. She didn't even really have close male friends who she could ask to help her out just as a friend so she could raise cubs. Not even a male who was lonely for one night alone. The lioness sighed. Her den was a lonely one, but at least now she had a familiar to share it with. Little Ayo, her snake, cuddled up close at night for her body warmth, but it was still nothing like a soft, furry cub. Woefully, Moja looked back at the cubs playing and walked on aimlessly through the lands.

Uri had drifted innto his thoughts and had been walking aimlessly it wasn't until he had nearly walked right into a tree that he gave his head a shake and took a look around himself. It was then that he noticed another lion walking about. A female she too seemed to have her head up in the clouds.
He offered a weak smile unsure as to weather or not the lioness had seen him nearly walk into a tree. He felt a great desire to approach her and strike up a conversation but he found himself unable. Instead he sat and looked at her shifting his feet in the dirt before him. He glanced around wondering if perhaps there was any rocks in the area that may give him some advice as to what he can do but atlas he could see none.

Moja heard the sounds of another lion and turned her head just after he had almost walked into a tree, so she didn't see it. Instead she saw his kind smile and returned one. She opened her mouth as if to speak, but overcome with a sudden cub-like shyness, she closed it and returned to her smile. She did finally work up the nerve to speak.
"Uhm. Hello." She looked to the ground and turned her ears back towards her head, just because she was nervous. But why was she so nervous? She never had problems talking to other pride members usually. She walked over to him and sat nearby. "I'm Moja. How're you?"

Uri returned the smile to the female a little unsure as to what he should say, he wasn't really one to talk to others, in fact he couldn't think of really any situation in which he had been around another and had had a conversation he poked at the ground with his toes. "Hi Moja," he offered weekly he wasn't sure if it was the right thing to say but it was a start.
"I am Uri." he told her looking her over as he spoke, she looked like a strong female. "I am well.... exploring today.. I suppose you could say I am looking for a friend." he told a smile on his face, he might as well show all his cards right after the bat.

"It's nice to meet you, Uri." Moja smiled at the male and tilted her head at his plans. Exploring? She wondered what his rank was. The only exploring she got to do was with cubs and their adventures consisted of the discovery of a beetle (usually short lived as one cub would likely eat it) or of a new, safe play place that she had already been to.
"Oh, who are you looking for?" She tilted her head, assuming that he was looking for someone specific instead of looking to make a a friend. She poked at a pebble and with her bright green eyes soft, she asked, "Do you mind if I come with you?"
