* Chapter 38 - Shut Nostalgia
”You should stop worrying. I’m sure it’ll be fine.” Epitaph smiled brightly as she looked up at the Gardevoir hovering next to her while they walked through the plain. The Gardevoir wasn’t very fond of the guilds and Epitaph had grown used to meeting him elsewhere. She felt safe around him anyway so it honestly didn't bother the Flareon in the slightest.
“Oh~ you’re from the guilds!” A sharp, female voice broke their conversation. The duo halted and stared ahead as a foggy figure emerged from the ground. When the blurriness faded, a Froslass floated before them.
Epitaph’s eyes narrowed slightly as she scanned the figure. Around her neck rested a relic.
“Anues dear, find Solaris for me.” Though soft, it sounded like a command. The two continued to stare down the smirking Froslass until Javs teleported out seconds after.
“Might I ask where you found that?” “That would be a secret!” She giggled loudly and the relic shined, Ep felt gravity weighing down on her, though in reality, the relic was merely acting by it’s carrier’s command. “What—“ She paused and wobbled slightly, stepping back as a new pain in her chest increased. The Flareon panicked slightly, taking a deep breath before falling over and she slowly began to drift off. The area grew cold.

   Solaris -- Minerva -- JavsSolaris and Minerva wandered down the hall toward the Espeon’s office. The Vaporeon decided to check up on him after some off time to herself and so far, things seemed to have been going smoothly. The carnival really brightened the guild up as well which they truly needed.
The two Eeveelutions reached the door of Solaris’ office, and the Espeon pushed it open with his head before entering and holding it for Minerva who trailed in after him. Upon reaching the center of the room, she turned to him with a soft smile.
“So, it seems everything is going well then?” Solaris gave a swift nod as he hopped onto the chair at his desk. When he was done adjusting himself, his eyes returned to Minerva whom still stood idly in the center of the room.
“So far, yeah.” Though in actuality, he was nervous. Things were too quiet. The carnival alone made him wonder and worry. Minerva stepped forward, opening her mouth to speak before the two were interrupted by Javs’ teleport. The Vaporeon flinched at the screech while Solaris just stared at him in confusion.
He saw this Gardevoir before… He was with the scary Gardevoir, right?
Minerva stared at him, her expression more or less the same as the Espeon’s.
Javs rested his hands on the Espeon’s desk, staring at him with a rather lax look despite his oncoming words.
“We've found a relic.” Solaris’ ears stood. “What? Where?” We? The Espeon was quick to jump off the chair, his eyes quickly locking on Javs again as he made his way around the desk. Javs turned to him as he walked over.
“In the plains. Epitaph is there as well.” Though, he was well unaware of her condition. Solaris was silent, staring at the Gardevoir wide eyed. Minerva watched and listened in silence. “Gather your guild then, I’ll Teleport you to the location when you’re ready.” He lazily waved his hand at the Espeon who, now sat dumbfounded… Epitaph was there…?
“Aunt Minerva…” Solaris quickly turned to look at the Vaporeon. She merely closed her eyes and nodded and with that Solaris was off, slamming his paw on the alarm. They couldn’t waste time.
Javs looked at Minerva as she in turn looked at him after the Espeon bounded off. “Will you be tagging along?” Minerva shook her head. “I’m sure Solaris can handle his own.” She smiled and stood, turning away back toward the door as the alarm began to sound. “I wish you all luck.”
Javs watched her off. He bowed slightly before teleporting again, ending up some feet behind the pacing, panicked Espeon in the Main Hall.
Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up…

  Singel Uluat❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺Singel was walking down the hall with a tired look in his eye. He wasn't so much tired as he was bored. He had done nothing productive for himself or the Guild and felt worthless for the day. A nice long nap, that was what would cure him of his problem. His ruby eyes were half way open when his partner Uluat soared down softly and landed next to him, walking in stride with Singel. "You looked bushed man. You heading back to the room? Cause you seem like you need to rest for a while." Singel smiled and nodded. "Thanks Uluat. I do feel like I need a rest. Maybe some food too before I...!"
Singel was cut off as an Espeon quickly ran by him and nearly threw him off balance in shock. Uluat began spinning, as the wind caught by his outstretched wing forced his body to lurch. As soon as Uluat got his balance and his center he looked towards the Espeon. "What's that guy in a hurry for?" Singel smiled and let some smoke screen escape his nostril. Uluat knew what this meant. He was either really mad, or really excited. "I don't know Uluat. But I got a feeling a good adventure just ran by us. Come on! We gotta catch up!" The Charmander yelled as he began chasing after the Espeon, whom he didn't recognize as Solaris. Uluat smiled and began running right after Singel. The Gligar also liked an exciting adventure himself.❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺

   Ver -- Saileithe -- ErudecaThree Eeveelutions paced down the hall to the Hall. Ver of course looked rather uninterested. This was his third time hearing the alarm and it was getting old already. After what happened last time, he really couldn’t imagine what would happen this time.
Maybe it’s Solaris’ surprise birthday party.
Deca, on the other hand, was being her casual ‘yay-I-get-to-kill-things’ self as she trotted by the Flareon’s side with a hop in her step. Sai was at his other side, more or less dragging along unlike her other female teammate. Not that she knew what to expect. This was just another dumb mission she’d likely get beaten up in. Why she still bothered was beyond her. Sai’s been telling herself she was done with missions for far too long.
The trio stopped in the hall. Sai plopped her butt on the ground and took a quick look around. It was empty yet… Solaris was here, that Gardevoir was here, Minerva was seen leaving at the side. Where was her mom? She blinked and tilted her head slightly. How odd.

Era jumped to her feet at the sound of the alarm, more startled than usual by its incessant clanging. Things had been oddly quiet around the Guild for a while now, so it was more unexpected than she would have thought. "Ethfael, Riley, come on," she said, beckoning the two. he Dragonair nodded and grabbed the bag from the other room quickly as Riley came over to Era, pleased that he was getting included on the action. When Ethfael returned they headed out of the room to the Main Hall to see what the commotion was about.
They arrived to find Solaris pacing back and forth with agitation, and Ethfael was surprised yet pleased to note that Javs was present as well. So it wasn't just my imaginings after all, he thought, looking rather bemused as though he'd seen a ghost. Of course, the manner of Solaris didn't escape his attention either, and he cocked his head curiously. "I wonder what's bothering Solaris," he murmured.
"I'm not sure," Era replied, "But whatever it is I doubt it's anything good." She looked at Solaris with slight worry; he didn't normally get this upset about things, in fact they'd thought they were up against an Elite the last time the alarm rang and Solaris had been perfectly calm. What then could be causing this sudden change in his attitude? Looking at the two there, something began to tug at Era's mind; there was normally someone else with Solaris. Her eyes took on a similar worried tint to the Espeon's. This couldn't have to do with Epitaph, could it?

"Sorry." Echo said simply, shrugging. She herself really didn't know where Zephyr was. She did know that Gypsy had really taken a liking to him recently, and probably felt lost in leadership with Echo here. She was nothing compared to him, in both strength and leadership. She didn't even know why she hadn't already given him the leader position. Too much responsibility, she guessed. The Scyther was more of a 'do whatever, whenever' kind of person, which wouldn't make a good leader. He was probably off in some random place doing something random, which is why Echo actually couldn't tell anyone where he was.
"Oh, no problem! I like you too." They both smiled at each other. "So what are we doing in here, anyways?" Gypsy tilted her head in confusion, then sat down, defeated. "We never know what these things are about." She then collapsed to a sleeping position as time went on. Echo shrugged again, at a loss of what to do to cheer Gypsy up.

( Red & Blue & Purple )Red ran ahead, coming out and into the main hall as her partner walked behind, an angry look on his face. "You really are terrible sometimes, you know" he told her, but she didn't seem to hear him.
They had found Purple leaned up against a wall, looking almost as if he was trying to avoid the crowd. Red actually looked to the crowd, noticing the same Espeon from before. Purple, noticing her interest, answered the question she hadn't asked yet. "His name is Solaris, to my knowledge he runs things around ehre" the Rattata remarked, though he didn't look at her directly as he was still pretty angry at her. He was never one to hold a grudge, but the child needed to learn her lesson.
Blue was clutching his ears, "Blast that alarm! Red, Purple, how can you still hear!" the alarm was loud to regular ears, and even louder to sensitive ones. Red smirked, pointing at her and Purples ears as she held hers up to see the insides. Foam earplugs lay in their ears, not blocking out the sound but muffling it enough to make it bearable. "Sorry, I guess I forgot to give you yours" she told him sarcastically.
Blue would have shaken his fist at her, but his paws were the only things keeping him from shattering his ears. He glared at her before looking away, he didn't want to even look at her right now.

An irritated, slightly blushing Cranidos, a playfully smirked Vulpix, and a face-palming Sewaddle.
"I really hope you guys can focus, we've got a job to do!"

Solaris -- JavsThe Espeon settled to an extent as the Hall grew louder and his pacing finally stopped as he faced the guild. The guildleader scanned the members briefly before finally taking a breath. “Prepare yourselves! We’re going to fight a powerful Ghost type!” He announced loudly before slowly turning to the Gardevoir behind him. He hovered silently, passively glaring off at the guilds. Crowds weren’t really his thing. Every word, every motion, every sigh or cough created chaos in his mind.
"Hm?" His eyes met the Espeon’s for a fraction of a second before turning back to the guilds.
“It seems so.” It was a Froslass, after all. He couldn’t scry half as well as Aire. Figuring out the Relic’s type aside from the carrier being x species was harder than just finding it. “Is this it?” Solaris nodded. The guild was teleported upon the Espeon’s approval with little time spent wondering otherwise.--- Make your following posts here~

( Red & Blue & Purple ) Charles was almost down. Purple, instead of attacking, only walked over to him. "Charly...this is goodbye. I hope you understand, I don't want to do this..."
"Don't stress it" the other rattata said, coughing as he managed a smile. "You...you deserve this. You have a home here. I have a home up there, where I can watch over you..."
Purple was going to give him one final Sucker Punch to end the fight when he disappeared, all the other ghosts also disappearing. Surprised, Purple was filled with sudden relief...though not for long as he noticed Reds condition. Blue was kneeled next to her, shaking her like mad. "Stay with me dangit!" he said, though it was obvious the poison had made Red faint. Blue looked up to Purple, a desparate look in his eyes. "Don't just stand there! We have to move her to a hospita-"
"Geebus!"
Red cut him off, opening her eyes weakly as she stood up. "I can still walk some...Purple and I will go right to the room, I have some remedies for these things in the room. You can collect the rewards on my behalf, then meet up with me later she said, leaving with Purple before Blue had the chance to object.

Blue held the TM in his hand, shoving it into his bag. He looked at the egg in his hand skeptically, he had no idea how to take care of a kid...Red was a girl, maybe she knew. Hopefully she knew.
He held it in his paws carefully, deciding to take it to the room to show Red. She would probably like to see the egg, knowing her she'd guard it ferociously.

Singel Uluat❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺Singel was awakening to see himself in the hall ways where he heard the alarm before getting teleported to the Rocky Plains and he felt really sore. Then again getting electrocuted as bad as he did would do that to anybody. He quickly looked around and saw Uluat walking around with something in his claw. Uluat, turning to see his partner suddenly awake, he rushed over.
Uluat leaned down next to Singel letting the item in his claws roll out. "Man that was one heck of an adventure huh? And look what we got! We got a TM and an egg!" Suddenly the Charmander's hand wrapped itself around the Gligar's throat with an annoyed look in his eye. "I wake up from nearly getting electrocuted to death and you talk about how we have an egg right off the bat?" He said as he released his grip on the Gligar. Uluat quickly got his breath under control and let out a sigh. "Would you like to go to the hospital then Singel? Will that make you feel better?" He asked as he immediately picked up Singel and began walking him to the hospital room, egg and TM under his other arm. The Gligar let out a sigh and looked to his Charmander partner. "Got all your adventure out of your system? Or are you looking forward to something else?" He asked jokingly, to which the coal black lizard blew smoke out of his nose. "Just keep walking to the hospital. I gotta get ready before the next even occurs." Singel said as the hall echoed his words. "Team Firewind will be known for its contributions before our time is done." A fire glowing in the young Charmander's eyes. Uluat then let out a laugh. He nodded in agreement and continued walking.❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺❖✺

- Gypsy - - Echo - With the help of others, Gypsy and Echo managed to defeat Lilia, and she faded away, just like the ghost she was. Echo cheered just a little bit, and in the fray of the crowd, Gypsy could've swore she heard her mother utter one last thing before her ghost was blown away in a strange wind. You'll regret not coming with me while you could... She shivered a bit, not from cold, but from shock of the whole event and just a bit of blood loss.
"Oh..." Echo muttered and Gypsy collapsed into a sitting position, her head hanging down. She wasn't badly hurt, but she was extremely tired. Fighting your own mother when she was at her prime is not exactly an easy task. "Do you want to go to the hospital...?"
Gypsy shook her head and shrugged. "Nah, it's not that bad. I'm sure you'll fix it up just fine." She commented, licking her right front leg where the wound was. Echo looked up after retrieving the bandages from her bag and cringed. She would have much rather preferred Gypsy using water to wash off her cut. Now it wouldn't heal as fast! She also held a fire stone, and placed it in front of Gypsy as she fixed up her small injury. "Huuuh? Where did this come from?!" She stood up rapidly in surprise, then looked up and down Echo for an answer.
Echo smiled. "Zephyr... he bought it for you a while ago, and gave it to me for safekeeping. He said to give it to you when you showed you really deserved it. And I think it would be right now. He really cares about you, y'know. You're like the daughter he never wanted but loves anyway." She finished up quickly and packed up her supplies. The Treecko-Ditto couldn't help but laugh at Gypsy's shocked expression. "Why don't you go to the chamber right now? I'll take care of this rewards stuff."
The Vulpix was about to suggest for the Treecko to come with, so she could evolve too. Little did she know Echo was actually a Ditto, and couldn't evolve. However, Echo was off to get rewards before Gypsy could even respond, or get her to thank Zephyr. Fire Stone clamped tight in her jaw, she made her way to the crystal chamber to evolve.

The Poochyena swaggered into the main hall with a scowl. She didn't get to hurt anything, hadn't even gotten to do much aside from snap her teeth at that Mightyena b*****d. Not fair, not fair at all!
Now she was in a bad mood and Arceus preserve whoever gets in her way as she stomped back to the team room.
'This is all Kit's fault. He should have come with me.' The dark type's head sunk and she allowed her tail to drag the floor behind her.
Well, if she couldn't fight a Mightyena on even grounds...then maybe she'd better up her own level.
A smirk pulled at her black lips and she dashed off. Her destination? Did you even need to ask?
