Asclepius was not in a good mood. Maybe a better mood than Marcella was in, at least, but not by much. She was not fully sure if henshin-ing up actually made her body ache less, or if it was some sort of adrenaline thing. Either way, though, she did not feel like being a plain old human for the moment.

The girl sprawled out on her roof, glaring angrily at the stars. All of this seriously sucked. why did this all have to be her problem? Marcella had not asked for this crap. She already wanted to help people! And she was fully capable of doing so in a regular plain NORMAL human capacity. What did all the stars and the Asclepius hospital asteroid and what's-his-name the stone man in robes want with her anyway?

And why had she gotten the most useless power ever? Marcella was a girl who wanted to do everything on her own. Asclepius apparently could not do s**t. Nemesis was right. She was probably just hampering all of her side's efforts.

She had to learn to really fight, and she really did not want to.

Finally, she grabbed her phone out of whatever immaterial space it resided in when she did not need it, and dialed Chaonis. Maybe she could just let him bait her into violence or something. And then go after a youma. Something. It was bad being by herself here thinking. And being useless.

Sailor Chaonis was always game for violence and stupidity. He was the direct opposite of Asclepius. He was confident in his skills as a fighter. He was confident in everything he did, in fact. Or he told himself he was, and did not let anything else get in his way. He was as badass as they came, and his magic as a senshi only confirmed that.

He could make buildings fall down, for crying out loud. Granted, often with him on or in them, but that was beside the point.

When his senshi phone went off he picked it up languidly, finding Asclepius on the other end. Not that the phone hadn't told him who was calling, he just hadn't bothered to look. Who else would be calling him besides a senshi that needed something from him?

He wasn't exactly Mr. Popular, in the sense that people just called him up to hang out.

"What's up, Doc?" he asked, making a reference without even thinking about it. It was just one of those phrases that came into his head and slipped out without filter, but hey, it was applicable. He grinned at himself, amusing his own sense of humor with that one.

See, he didn't even have to try or be aware of himself to be awesome. At least, by his own definition of it, which was probably a bit bias.

Asclepius either did not pick up the reference or did not care to indicate that she had. She was not wholly sure what she had wanted to say, exactly, to Chaonis when he actually answered, though. But she was filled with frustrations she wanted to take out somehow, and realized she was rather counting on her slightly irritating friend on baiting her into wanting to hit someone.

Because that was what fighting was about, wasn't it?

So maybe she did want to "just hang out" in some capacity.

After a stretch of quiet that was starting to border on awkward, Asclepius told him, "I feel like sparring. Where are you right now?"

Chaonis frowned as he looked out into space, not having to focus on anything because he was on the phone. He frowned, though, when the line remained silent, and pulled the phone away from his ear to make sure it was still connected.

He Asclepius just crank called him?

But no, she was still there, and she began to speak. He put the phone back to his ear and grinned at her question. He was always up for a good sparring session, and he didn't think she did enough fighting in her own right. He didn't know what she was upset about, or that she was even upset, but if it was important then it would come up again later.

"I'm just hanging out. I can be where ever you want to meet up. Library?" It had so far been their 'usual' place for meeting up. At least to go into space. He didn't know some of her frustration was linked to space, of course, and he wasn't actually trying to be a jerk about it this time.

"The library sounds fine," she replied. They did seem to meet up there an awful lot, but it worked out. It was a building that was pretty easy to find, and Asclepius supposed the large roof would make for a useful battleground.

The brown-haired girl started heading there right away, remaining on the phone long enough to get confirmation from Chaonis. With any luck, it would not take him long to get there; the Senshi of Medicine really needed to blow off some steam, and, well, Chaonis was the closest thing to a senshi friend she had.

Chaonis nodded and hung up, though she obviously couldn't see him nod. That didn't matter. It was like in a movie: all the cool leading men didn't say bye to anyone they were talking to on the phone. And more than that, he mostly just forgot.

He moved toward the library, hopping onto roofs and leaping across them, scrambling up when they were taller and dropping down onto the smaller buildings without too much regard for safety. He wouldn't be much of a senshi of Danger if he was cautious, as the tape around his waist warned.

At least, that was how he liked to think of it.

Soon enough he reached the library roof, looking around for his fellow senshi. He had been fairly close to the library, and wondered if he had gotten there first. He was tense for a fight, knowing she wanted to spar and thinking that she might just be used to him enough to try and ambush him.

Or maybe he was just there early.

She had considered ambush, but, well, this fighting thing was hard enough for her as it was. Asclepius wanted to throw punches and shout and yell and get her frustrations out, but well, Chaonis was still her friend. When she saw him arrive, the senshi's doubts about attacking another human being, even Chaonis (or especially Chaonis) resurfaced, and she stepped out from behind one of the ducts and announced herself instead.

"You probably know more about fighting than I do anyway, but don't hold back," Asclepius insisted, clenching her fists.

Her adversary for the night warned thusly, the Senshi of Medicine rushed him. She probably would not be able to hurt him or anything anyway. She could scarcely beat up a youma.

"Don't hold back?" He echoed, shaking his head.

He considered himself a top notch fighter. There were loses, but even the best prize fighters lost some matches. The real importance was the urge to keep on fighting, to win more than one lost, and to get ever stronger. He was good at all of these things, when he was asked. He eyed the senshi of medicine keenly, knowing she was not of the same ilk. She didn't like to punch things just to see what they would do.

Or if they would punch back.

He saw her clench her fists, though, and knew that she needed the fight. Grinning ear to ear in his typical fashion, he nodded his head and raised his own fists, watching her as she charged for him. He moved to catch her arm, darting around her and spinning her around before shoving her away from him. Not being too gentle about it, he watched her and grinned tauntingly.

"Going to have to do better than that."

There was one thing Chaonis knew, and it was using fighting as a catharsis. But if she really wanted to learn something, or at least relieve whatever tension was troubling her, she was going to have to put a lot more into it. And he was just the guy to annoy her into that.

She stumbled as he spun her around, but managed to stay on her feet. Maybe Asclepius deserved bonus points for being able to do that in high heels, but she was not thinking about that right now.

"Of course I have to do better," she growled. "That's why I'm here, coming after you!"

The Senshi of Medicine scarcely regained her footing before crouching and sweeping one leg around, aiming to bring Chaonis down. Maybe she lacked the strength and experience to really aim the kick well, but she at least had the idea to go for the backs of his knees. Maybe, she thought grimly, she could make a decent fighter. Her anatomical knowledge could only help in going after human targets.

"Well, then, stop pussying around!"

He watched her as she swung around, bracing and realizing too late that she was going for his feet and not to punch him. Why was it that everyone always went for his feet? He assumed it was because he was such a heavy punch enthusiast.

But that didn't mean he couldn't use his feet when he needed to.

The super senshi would have jumped but wasn't going to try and really hurt her. Usually he might stomp on her leg or foot or something, but instead he just dropped down into a stoop suddenly. Her kick instead connected with his raised arm.

His hand lashed out and caught her leg, and he suddenly moved to haul her with him as he got to his feet, jerking her leg up to throw her off balance. The more he shoved her around and played with her, the angrier she was going to get.

And more of her raw skills would come out. Those he could work with.

She yelped in surprise and anger as he caught her leg and started to flip her backwards. There were already bruises across her shins from her youma encounter a few nights prior, and, though Asclepius was not about to tell him to be careful with where she was already hurt, it was not at all comfortable to get grabbed right on one of the purple spots.

The Senshi of Medicine tried to pull her leg down closer to herself, thereby dragging Chaonis closer if he wanted to keep holding onto it. As it was, he was a little too far away to punch.

Maybe she could introduce him to her other knee instead....

Chaonis tensed by the pained sound she made. True enough, falling to the floor was never fun, nor was being grabbed or pulled around, but he hadn't thought he had gripped her that hard. He eyed her critically, but didn't drop his stance.

She had wanted to train, after all.

Anyway, he was busy with her knee coming for his face. He pulled to the side, as if trying to roll up to his feet or something, but gravity didn't agree. He felt her knee hit his face before he stumbled away. It took him a moment to regain himself, then he moved back to retaliate.

"What's got you so frustrated, huh?"

He asked this as he moved over to stomp on her stomach. It was a strange time for veiled concern, certainly.

"I can tell you're distracted."

"You're talking," she grumbled in reply.

Her knee actually making contact seemed to surprise the girl, and she tried to disengage. Asclepius had just hit her friend in the face? It was what she had been trying to do, but....

Fortunately, the Senshi of Medicine's decision to roll to the side had been a good one, if not for the right reasons in terms of the conflict. Chaonis' boot coming down immediately beside her snapped her back to the present moment for sure, and she hesitated a second before reaching for his ankle. If she could pull him down, it would give her a chance to get up.

Chaonis laughed. Well, he supposed his talking at her could contribute to many things. Her being distracted. Her being angry. But the last part was what he wanted. He just gave her the sleeziest of grins, watching her with his keen eyes.

He didn't seem to mind her hitting him. His face had taken a few hits in his time as a senshi, of course, and he found the hit just jazzed him further for the fight. If she was going to step things up a bit more, that was good: he found people knew more about fighting than they thought.

Dragging it out of them was the hard part.

He was getting very into the fight, and because of that, he could read her moves. If she were more experienced he might have had a little less confidence, and there was always room to surprise him, but he never really thought that possible. He thought he was just too awesome for that.

Bearing that in mind, He saw her hand swing out toward him and he pulled his foot back, ending his effort to stomp, but he didn't want her to drag him down. Back to taunting.

"You're never get anywhere down on the floor. First rule: most fights happen on your feet. I dunno why you called me all the way out here for a nap."

The girl glared up at him, lip curling, and sat up. She swung one arm at him, more in anger than in a real effort to hit him, though she hoped that it would at least keep him back. Her other arm reached behind her, and she hopped up to get her feet under herself again.

"I don't know anything about fighting because I'm not made for this bullshit," she muttered. "Don't know how to roll and get up or do any of those fancy things because I go to medical school to help people, and now I'm in the middle of a war." The Senshi of Medicine at least had apparent balance mastery on high heels going for her so far. That was not entirely senshi-related, though.

"I'm not supposed to be doing any of this." Once Ascelpius was on her feet, she prepared to lunge forward with another punch. It would be so much easier to focus if he would just stop grinning like that!
