"....." There was something truly bothering bothering Jera.. It was.. Well, actually, he knew exactly what it was. To Jera, it was daylight. It was time to go outside, to play, to do work or to do something that was productive! And yet.. Here he was... Waiting.. Just.. Waiting..

He hovered above Teival, staring at him. How would he sleep during the day? Sure, he knew that he was supposed to stay out of sight, and that no one was supposed to know about him.. But he was still a kid! And a very very very very very very bored one at that.

"Teival..." he murmured, slowly prodding his guardian.. The old man liked to call him his servant, but he never took it seriously. All he ever did was sleep and eat.. There must be someone else to play with, right?

Teival peeled back one eye to stare up at Jera for a long moment, one of his wings gave a twitch, and then his eye was closing again, "Its not night time yet, I can tell." Less due to any sort of clues like sunlight streaming into his room or anything like that but more because it just felt as though he hadn't slept quite long enough. He'd been in this place long enough that he'd gotten an eternal clock running well enough that it could tell him at least the difference between night and day, not terribly accurate but useful for someone that dislike roaming during the day due to running a higher risk of running into others be them the staff or the other patients.

Lifting a hand the demon waved it at his servant, "Wake me when the sun sets and not a moment before, until then just remain quiet and behave yourself." He told him, rolling over onto one side and he was soon dozing off again. It was obvious that he wasn't going to be of any fun to his servant at the moment for sure...

"Grr..." Jera gave a rather big pout, puffing his cheek, then gave his master a nudge. "You're so boring.." He whined.. But nodded, leaning down to give him a gentle hug.

"You sleep, I'll stay out of trouble, promise.." he floated around after that, waiting for Teival to enter that world of dreams again, then quietly slipped out of the room, sneaking around. He did, in fact, have a particular place in mind, and he smiled at the thought. A little sunshine will calm his restlessness... Slowly but surely he dodged in and out of the shadows, then crept through the door, letting out a happy sigh as he rolled about in the grass. Not too long after he made it outside, he dozed off under a tree, so comfortable with the warm warm sunlight touching his skin..

There was only one place in the entirety of the Asylum that was outside and green, it was the courtyard and given the season there were things that were in bloom and looking pretty. Laying in one of the grassy areas was a young man with a leafy tail and a red marking on his chin, a bit of an odd looking person and, like Teival, he seemed to be asleep... though unlike the demon his sleep patterns were... well, to put it lightly they were very different.

His tail twitched for a moment before he shifted his body, rolling from one side to the other, giving a great yawn as he did so. If he were aware that others were around or not was impossible to tell... and why he was doing something so crazy as sleeping out in the open was another strange sort of thing. It were as though he were ignoring all of the dangers that Teival ad been trying t teach Jera about. Or perhaps he was oblivious to the dangers? It really was hard to tell without asking him. The only thing that could be said for certain was that the young man was a mystery that was just waiting for Jera to come along to solve it.

Well perhaps, that or he was just a guy sleeping in the grass. It would all likely depend on how Jera's childish mind decided to interpret all of the details if at all. Given his age and naivety he might just look at it as a chance to meet a new friend...

After a few brief moments of enjoying the sweet sunlight on his cheeks, he opened his eyes, blinking, and rolling around onto his stomach. It was the time of day for testing, and lunch, so the patients for the most part, were not in the area. He wasn't completely stupid, he knew better than to go out when others were about, so he was confident that no one else was around. And yet, out of no where a loud yawn came from someone near by, and he all but shot up into the tree, not only startled, but frightened as well! What if it was one of those bad people Teival always warned him about? W-what if they wanted to experiment on him or hurt him or do other terrifying things to him!

The door back to the safety of Teival's room was on the other side of the courtyard.. How was he supposed to get there.. Either way, he decided it might be in his best interest to atleast get a glance at the person. Maybe he could be big and chunky, and would have problems chasing him or catching him! Or maybe he could be an old man like Teival but older, and he'd be too old to go after him! With a little bit of hope in his heart, he peeked out, giving the person a glance.

"What..?" This person wasn't scary at all! If anything, he was just a big boy! And he was sleeping and being adorable~ Jera gave a little giggle, before thinking about what was happening again, and where he was. Giving a quick look around, he slowly and cautiously floated over to the boy, moving to gently sit/hover on his tummy. That way he could quickly make an escape.

"Hey... Mister.." He whispered, Pressing a little hand to the boys cheek. "It's not safe here.. Why you outside..?"

There was no response at first, as though the one sleeping had no idea that he was being used as a perch or that someone was talking to him. The one that normally talked to him wouldn't have bothered to be so nice about it, instead he'd of shaken awake or just picked up and carried off. The touch to the cheek seemed to finally get through to the deeply sleeping Sceptile and his strangely colored eyed slid open so that he could stare up at Jera.

"Ahh...?" Well this was different for sure he thought to himself as he starred up at what looked like a little kid who was sitting on him with one hand on his cheek. Surely he must be sleeping...? There couldn't be kid running around in this place, right? This wasn't a place meant for playing around in! Those were words meant to be out loud but already his eyes were sinking closed again as though sleep were once more attempting to swallow him up in its grasp. He was so sleepy... they could talk later he thought to himself, when he was able to wake up and be a better conversationalist.

Only a moment after he'd opened his eyes to look up at Jera the young man was once more snoozing away...

Jera could not believe this! He went right back to sleep! Hrmph, what did Jera care if he got caught.. It was his fault, right? With a pout, he lifted himself up back into the tree, giving the Sceptile a little glare. He wasn't about to risk himself getting caught just because someone wouldn't wake up. And he just knew that Teival would be pissed at him if he were caught. The old man did so much to keep him safe, and he shouldn't make risks. Atleast not something as big as contacting someone else. Then again... He could definitely use a new friend.... Should he chance it to see if he was a good person? After all, if he was always such a huge sleepy head, maybe he couldn't do much harm. But no. No no no, too big of a risk!

As he was about to turn back to head to the room, he gazed back at the boy... Gah! He couldn't just leave him there! He'd feel so bad about it... With a sigh, he floated back down onto the Sceptile's chest, poking his cheek again.

"Please wake up.. It's not safe.. If you don't wake up, something bad might happen, and I don't want anything bad to happen to you.."

There was that voice again... It took a moment but the Sceptile teen's strangely colored eyes opened once more, focusing on Jera, and he gave a great big yawn. What was... going on? This one was back? How long had it been since he'd come the first time? Really he had no idea, not many really bothered to wake him several times in a row since those most interested in him and his gifts were staff members that preferred him sleeping. His leafy looking tail gave a swish and he lifted on hand up to smother his next yawn.

"Mmm... morning..." He greeting the other, rubbing at his eyes, seeming to be really trying his hardest to stay awake. Even as he tried though he was fighting off yawns, as well as noticeably nodding his head back before jerking a bit, waking again, then doing it again. Sleep was something he struggled a lot with, often nodding off, often sleeping for long periods of time, waking up in random places. He knew there were times he was taken and moved around by staff members... but really he didn't know all of what they did. All their experiments vanishing in a flash when he was left to sleep in the sun. The rays of sunlight healed all his wounds easily due to his bloodlines being that of Sceptile and Tropius, both plant types. He was perfect sort of science experiment... he tried to say as much to the boy only seemed to get out, "No danger... just napping..." Between yawns in a tone that was barely above a whisper.

While he was in no danger he didn't know about the boy or what his powers might be... he didn't want to call attention to them or see him taken away and injured.

"No danger..? Are you sure..? It looks dangerous to me.." Jera whispered back at the boy, his hands attaching to the front of his shirt, and he moved to lay on top of him. He wasn't heavy at all, just.. Fluffy, due to the clothing he wore. After watching the boy a few more moments, he decided that he liked him. He seemed like the perfect person to get cuddles from, since the stupid old man didn't seem too fond of doing anything fun. Maybe he could finally have another friend to play with. Or rather, a first friend.

"Hey.. Mister... Can you play with me..? Please?" He was going out on a limb, he knew that, but he'd rather risk getting caught at this point than to continue being as bored as he was. "You seem nice enough, and you said we were safe, so can we play something? My Guardian is a night person, so he doesn't wanna play.."
PostPosted: Sat Dec 17, 2011 1:16 am

His eyes closed, opened, closed for a while, then opened once more all in the span of time it took the boy to speak at him. He seemed to be struggling for a moment to come up with the right words before speaking, "Mmm... no... it is... dangerous, just not for me. Sunlight... it heals my wounds." He murmured, doing his best to put together all the right words that would make this smaller boy, one that really did feel like a child from the size of him, understand that he was only safe because whatever was done to him would heal so long as he was given time in the sun. He could only hope the child was old enough that he would understand what he was saying to him.

Play? He wanted to play... strange, he couldn't recall anyone wanting to play in this place, at least not in a way that would really be considered fun or playful. He struggled, putting everything he had into sitting up, gave a great yawn, then leaned forward so that he was leaning on the boy, "Play... yes, will try... but not outside... in the open... we will be noticed." He said, a yawn here and there breaking up his words so that his sentence was a little fragmented. If nothing else at least he seemed to be a little bit more with it now that he was waking up. Or at least his version of waking up.

"Mmm... Clover... and you?" He asked, deciding that if they were gonna play, something he hadn't done in some time, that they should exchange names.

"Ahh... I see.. You are a plant aren't you? Sunlight heals you, or something like that.. I see, I see, I see." He nodded in conformation and smiled at him, finding the whole concept of it rather adorable. A plant! A Plant as a friend! He gasped to himself for a moment, he was turning into a hippie! No, no, not at all.

When Clover sat up, he smiled as he was leaned against. This, for some reason, felt... Nicer than when He cuddled with the old man. It probably didn't mean anything, but still.. It felt nice, especially since he was kinda extra warm from the sunlight.

"My name? It's Jera. Spelled with a J, but sounds like a Y. I'm a Jirachi, I grant wishes! But.. My stupid guardian doesn't hardly let me out, because he says it's dangerous... I listen to him, but, it's so boring sometimes, So I really hope you'd play with me.. " He was trying to put on his cutest face, after all, who could resist something as adorable as he was?

Clover gave a smile, his tail giving a little swish, and he nodded his head, "I'm a Sceptile... so yes... a Grass Type. I am impressed." He said in his normal slow and sleepy manner, giving a smile. He really did sound impressed despite that sleepy tone, as though him guessing so easily what type he greatly impressed him. Tilting his head back he looked up toward the sky, the sun was still up but it was starting on its downward decent meaning that soon his powers would be useless and he'd be a sitting duck. Perhaps it was Fate that allowed for this one to stumble across him here? He'd like to believe so.

"Jera... and a Jirachi... neat, never thought... I'd meet one of those..." He murmured, eyes sinking shut for a moment but this time it was Clover himself that forced him awake, not wanting to doze off on Jera since it meant putting him in danger, something he didn't want. He gave a bit of a smile at the mention of the boy's guardian who didn't let him out because it was dangerous, "Smart... guy... If I were your..." He trailed off on a yawn, mouth still moving as though attempting to talk and yawn before finishing with, "... let you out along either..."

Stretching out all over the grass type starred at him at mention of play again before nodding, "Sure, play... though somewhere safer." He suggested, not wanting to play in the open, at least not with someone so young and tiny. He was alright on his own, any wounds he got would be healed over come the next sunrise but he didn't know if the same could be said for a Jirachi. It was a rather slow going process, like watching a Snorlax move, as Clover dragged himself to his feet and then held his hands out to Jera, "Shall we...?" He asked, able to stifle his yawn this time, seemed that he was waking up at least a little bit more since he was able to stand on his own even.

This boy was such a sleepy head! And he talked so slow!! Maybe he wouldn't be as much fun as Jera thought.. But that smile he had just made him seem so appealing to be around with.. And he had a TAIL! A big leafy one too! For some reason, this made Jera WAY overly excited, and he began to fly around him, listening to him talk after he stood.

"I know he cares about me, even if he doesn't like to think about it, but... I'm so used to being wild and free.. But some how I woke up stuck in this place, and have no idea what to do.." He shook his head, happily taking the hand offered to him, squeezing it, and using it to reel himself closer to the sleepy grass boy.

"Where should we go? Where can we go and be safe and play?" He was curious what there was even to do here, besides hunt with his guardian, and sleep.. He didn't like it.. It seemed like he had no choice half the time though..

That was a good question Clover found himself thinking, where did they go to play where they wouldn't be bothered? He chewed on his lower lip in a thoughtful sort of way, tail swishing, before he gave a little shrug, "We will have to... look around." He said, able to get through a full sentence at an almost normal pace and with only one yawn! He really did seem as though he were coming to more and more as he was given the chance to wake up but more importantly a reason to wake up. Normally it took a lot to get him moving, to the point that the staff rarely bothered to wake him up instead of just carrying him to his 'appointments'.

At the mention of how he was used to being wild and free and how he'd just somehow woke up here Clover couldn't help but to feel a kinship with him... though mostly over the second part. He'd woke up here at random as well, likely his family getting tired of dealing with his sleep disorder and wanting to see him fixed. He had heard them comment on it before, how he would be a much better son if he would just move... he would like to think that they had no idea what they were getting him into sending him to this place but figured that it wasn't really important anymore. He was here, they weren't, and his body's special adaptations allowed him to stay alive despite the dangers of this place. Adaptations that his new friend lacked which meant that they couldn't just stand around, could they?

Holding a hand out to the boy he said, "We should go inside for now, it will be dark sooner then we know it and it gets very unfriendly outside at night." He said, not wanting to risk the little kid being out here at night just because he wanted to play with someone that was more fun then the guardian he was currently stuck with.

Jera was starting to really like this sleepy guy... He didn't know why, but he could just sense that he was a nice person. The Jirachi would like to think that he was a good judge of character.

"Are you shure you're okay..?" His voice softened quite a bit, feeling like that the louder he spoke, the more likely they were to be caught. Which actually made a quite of bit of sense, the more he thought about it. He floated around the boy for a moment, vaugely wondering what that silly old man would think of his new friend. He didn't seem too dangerous, just sleepy. Sleepy and green, though green in a good way. A healthy green, something you hardly ever saw in this evil place!

The offered hand was stared at for a little while, before a small smile graced Jera's face, and he slipped his own into it, squeezing it gently.

"Alright.. Let's go.. For a little while, okay? My guardian person wakes up during the night time. He'll be all worried about me if I'm not there, and when he's worried, he's kinda mean. Then again, he's always mean.. But he keeps me safe, so I guess that means something, right?"
