The lithe, black and gold wolfess stretched. It was new, this body. Long and lean and slender with a coat of sleek, black fur. Puppy fur had fallen out in patches...she was now fully gorgeous. She grinned down at her reflection, a mix of minx and innocence. She arched her back and splashed her front paws in the river, her reflection rippling away as she lapped up water. She felt...at home here. She wasn't the kind of girl to wander away from a life of easy-going simplicity to dare with hardship of being a loner, like her mother. A rueful smile crossed the girl's maw. Her mother...how she missed that wolf. "No use crying over spilled milk," she announced to no one inparticular, standing tall. Jayel was gone. That was the truth, and the end of it.

Iofiel's paws were tired--he hadn't been a wanderer long. It was just a sudden...restless desire that made him take up the life of a loner. But not for forever; he wanted to settle down. Call him lazy, but being on your feet with no time to relax got a man down. C'mon, seriously. Io rolled his eyes and kept moving with a soft groan. He'd passed through territory lands, many times...this was just another. He'd gone through pack after pack. Too lenient, too strict. He wanted a perfect balance, and maybe someplace to hone his hunting and fighting abilities.
And, you know...a girlfriend wouldn't hurt.
Still, he was looking for a home. A home for him and a home where his family could...be themselves. Shanti and his newfound father were...well...sluts. If you put it mildly. At least Siasian was loyal to Mom. He huffed. Still didn't trust the other male.

Voirey yawned, her maw stretching wide open and then snapping shut with a click of teeth. Her long, bushy tail wagged as the golden streaks on her coat caught the sun. Somehow, they were shiny, reflective almost. Like her twin-siblings' leopard spots, or her father's entire pelt. She grinned; they gleamed in the sun...they were strikingly beautiful.
And Voi was no exception, she knew. She'd only had a mature form for a couple of months, but the boys... Oh the boys. She grinned wicked, remembering the last one. The lust in his eyes--oh, a girl could be driven mad with just lust.
But she'd also seen the way the alpha had looked at her. As competition. This pleased Voirey to no end; she would never take Piper's place as queen--she didn't want that burden--but it felt nice to be admired by jealousy.
Lifting her head, she thought she heard pawsteps.

Iofiel's feet shuffled, then paused as his big head lifted to scent the air. He was a big wolf--not as big as the wolf who'd sired him, but big. And broad. Compact with ripcord muscles from rigorous training... He was strong enough to take a pack over if need be...not that he wanted that burden. Maybe he was a little slothful. He smiled at the thought of being able to laze around all day, with little on his mind.
Then he smelled her. Fresh, like wildflowers at dawn. Intoxicating. His heart stirred--this was a wolfess who could make him sway like a drunken man. Pale eyes glanced around, finally landing on a gleam of gold near the river. "Hello there," he murmured, his voice a purr as he drew closer, damning his sore pawpads to hell and back and trying not to limp.

Voirey stiffened at the masculine voice. Her head snapped up, triangular ears docking back against her head and her tail stuck somewhere between submissive and dominant. This was her pack, damnit, and that boy didn't smell like home. She lifted her lips in a snarl, hackles bristling. "Who are you and where'd you come from?" she snapped back. He was big and jet black, with bloodsplashes up his legs and eyedots. And gorgeous eyes. Holyhell.

A slow, lazy smile appeared on the dark wolf's face as he took her in--long, limber legs and a sharp and feminine headset. And that tail... Watching her be on edge, he pretended she didn't matter, waving a paw nonchalantly and sitting down just yards from her. "Mm. I perhaps I'm staking out territory. I'm in the market," he replied easily. "Looking for a place that's nice and cozy. I must say, your land is beautiful, ladybird."

Hff, a gentleman. Suave and debonair and all that jazz. And his voice was like silk, making her knees a little weak. She huffed and shook her head. "It's Voirey to you, pal," she barked, never easing back. He could easily be a spy. Or maybe she was paranoid. Maybe she needed to get a little information out of him... "A pack, huh? Well this is a pack. And yes, it's beautiful. I was born here..." To a wandering mother and a father who decided he was gay. She shook her head, hackles smoothing as she put on a friendly, seductive smile. "And who're you?"

His eyebrow rose and he stifled a smile at her seductive flair. Two could play that game. "Yes indeed. A home, perhaps, for myself...and my family. A sister, a brother and my parents. Think your alpha would allow us to join?" He stood and closed the distance between them. She smelled strongly of flowers, making his head spin as he buried his nose, an impulse, into her fur. She looked surprised, but he breathed her in. "So soft and gentle, Voirey..." he purred.

Voirey blinked up at his quicksilver move, stunning even her. She stepped back, a soft sound in her maw before she could escape it. "Hardly," she shot back, nipping hard at her ear. "I may look tiny, but my bite is worse than my bark." She smirked as she drew blood, then pranced out of reach, tail flagging the air. "And I think my alpha would just eat you up..."
She thought of Piper's penchant for beautiful young males...and was surprised by the brash jealousy that rose up like a tide. No... She didn't even know him. She huffed. "I'm sure you'd...fit right in," she bit out, turning away quickly.

Iofiel blinked. Damn, she was hot and cold. One minute a minx and the next, bristly as a cactus. Her words were chilly and he stood there for a moment, calculating as she walked away. Then he leapt to catch up with her, bumping his big shoulder against hers, nudging at her face. "Don't be that way, ladybird..." he murmured, nibbling at the side of her face. She shot him laser-eyes, but they quickly softened. He grinned. "I bet she's not half as beautiful as you."

Voirey's ears fell back at his compliment, eyes gleaming. "Is that so? You've hardly met me...and you haven't met her. She's a striking, powerful woman. Something to strive for...and you seem like a striking, powerful male. I bet you'd be great together..." She flashed a small smile and then paled as a shadow cast down upon them, a husky laugh rising up. "And it's your lucky day, pal." Bowing, she motioned with a paw to the large, white and navy wolfess who stood behind them. "Our lady, Piper."

Piper was indeed strong and beautiful. A large female, she was masculine and feminine all at once with a plush white coat marked with the deepest of blues. Her chocolate eyes gleamed as she took in the young piece of meat--a trespasser on her lands--and then smirked slowly. Her gaze skimmed to the girl--she was what's-his-name's daughter, wasn't she. Voirey. She hadn't believe the pups would stay around when their mother left so suddenly. Still, she wouldn't turn down the members that kept Gomorrah ticking.
She slid her body against the black male, slinking and arching like a cat in heat. "I assume you're looking for a place to settle. Perhaps for the night?" She blinked innocently at him.

Iofiel reacted to Voirey sluggishly, looking puzzled before the shadow fell across them. He turned, taking in the sight of a large, muscled female graying around the muzzle and paws. Older, but not elderly. Strong lines...strong female. He offered a warm smile, then bowed his head. "Milady Piper," he murmured, seeing the way Voirey shot him a huffy look. He smirked at her, then buried his muzzle in Piper's fur. Never piss off the alpha...even if she wasn't his type.
Stepping away, he grinned. "I'm flattered, milady... But yes. I'm looking for a...perhaps more permanent residence. For myself, and for my family. A pack willing to offer us what we offer back. My father, brother and I are strong. My sister and mother are fiery. We all can hunt and we can fight. But perhaps my family is a little too...free with their love. And their emotions. They have tempers, and sometimes that doesn't fare well in a pack."

Piper smirked, her tail flagging the air behind her. She watched the way he neither wilted nor puffed up at her dominance; he listened with his body, but he didn't react. He wasn't intimidated...could be a good warrior. "Well then, perhaps Gomorrah is the perfect fit. If my followers can fight, hunt, and fend for the pack, they're granted rather lenient access. Of course, I have favors..." She smirked at the thought of Sleet, his masculine strength against hers, whipcord strong. "But not often. So far, no one's been...unwilling. Not that I care." She laughed, a husky sound. "We take care of ourselves...we are sated, sexually, emotionally and physically. I take care of my people."

Iofiel nodded, catching her drift. Oh, his father would have a time with this woman. He snorted at the thought--he'd better not be expected to cheat on Mom, else Io would have his balls. He flicked an ear. "Of course... It sounds tempting. Could I perhaps request a week's stay. Get to know everything Gomorrah has to offer. And then I will decide..." He glanced first to Piper, then to Voirey, who had become icy. Jealous? He winked at her and she turned away. He shrugged. "Thank you, in advance. You're truly generous."
