I've held a rather controversial opinion about spam for a few years. I would like to here what the opinions of the guild members are.

I define a spam topic. As any topic that does not have dialog between people. Instead, the purpose of the topic. Is to simply state an opinion. Without the need to respond to any other posts in the thread.

An example of this would be a Bump Thread. Or, a thread that asks what type of food you are craving at the moment.

These type of topics. While they do actually hold the interest of the user for a short amount of time. Have no long term benefit for the guild itself.

In my experience, when these threads are the main focus of posts in the guild. A very consistent trend will be for activity to diminish. Because the guild itself is lacking in Dialog.

No, this is a discussion thread. Its purpose to to discuss. Therefore, there is dialog being exchanged between people.

A threads activity doesn't define it as spam or not spam. Though, I wouldn't exactly say this thread holds much value. Because it hasn't exactly attracted many posts.
