To Dritan it felt that it had been a long time since he had seen Avis, in which it hadn't been that long ago. But he had been busy trying to make a perfect gift for Avis and he wasn't going going to take her a crappy painting, it had to be perfect. So in his time when he wasn't doing other things he painted that picture of one of the gardens near the main house of his mothers. Finally he did he think the painting was perfect despite on all his failed tries, did he wrap it up in simple brown paper and a two new books for her to read. Also he put lot of treats into his pouch for his wings just in case as he never knew this days to what type of trouble they would get him into especially now that they had eyes. With all of the things that he wanted all packed up as he headed out the door and to the labs as he was right now glad that his wings were behaving as they were getting out of the house.
Walking to the labs had been nice as his wings didn't try anything as they walk through town to were the road to the labs was located. But as he got closer to the labs did his wings start to be more attentive to there surroundings as they knew were they were going and didn't like it but didn't prevent there boy in going as there were a few things they like in there, so they would tolerate it for right now. Once he got within view of the labs he could see that the gates were shut and he knew they would be locked and sighed to himself as he would have to wait to see if there would be any that would let him in before he did climb up the walls to get in as he didn't want to wreak the painting he was carrying or the books either if he did have to climb the walls to get in. So he just waited by them for now as his munchy wing decide it would be cool to start gnawing on one of the bars of the said gate.
Aden was leaning against the side of the Labs, watching as his sugar high son ran back and forth across the lawn, kicking leaves up into the air as he went, occasionally Beryl would catch one, eat it, then keep going. The Doctor shook his head, wonder for the millionth time what in the world went on in the mind of his son given the mix that he had. Was his mind running constantly like his body was? Aden lifted his cigarette to his lips, taking a drag of it, then let the smoke out through his nose. He was so caught up in watching Beryl that he didn't notice anything else going on.
It was Beryl that seemed to notice Dritan, turning at a ninety degree angle and raced toward the gate, barely able to stop before crashing into it. His hands rested on the wrought iron of the gate and he starred up at Dritan, eyes wide, "Woah!" He said in an awed voice, "You! You! You have Ella-la wings!" He cried, another person with wings with mouths! Awesome!
Dritan really hadn't see that there was anyone about as he thoughts were lost in how he thought Avis would think of his gifts and if she would like them as he was worried about that, it wasn't until Beryl had crashed into the gate that his attentions came back to the now. Tho it was his wings that knew that there were others about but they didn't seam like a threat and they didn't tell there boy. It was his munchy wing that stopped chewing on the gate bar and then gave Beryl a quick lick and a smile as all of his wings turned to look at him showing there different personalities as his mean wing thought the kid was familiar in some way. Dritan just had to giggle as he found the younger spawn so very cute. "I do?" he questioned as he didn't know there was another that had wings like him and then he giggled more as he recognized Beryl's eyes to being somewhat the same as his brother's. "Well I see that you have eyes just like my brother," he added and was very sure that they shared a sin. "So do you know of any one that can let me in? Also I'm Dritan and these are my wings," Dri said as each of his wings bobbed there head, chirped and smiled as there version of a greeting.
Beryl gave a happy sound when he got licked, licking up on his tip toes to lick back before his attention went to Dritan, "Dritan-tan?" He asked, adding the double at the end of Dritan's name as he did with everyone, a playful sort of game he played with everyone he met, "I'm Beryl!" He told him, turning to look over his shoulders, "Daddy-dy!" He called out in a loud voice to get the smoking man's attention. Once he was done calling for him his full attention was back on Dritan, reaching a hand up to attention pet the wings again, highly interested by them.
Aden looked toward where he heard his son calling for him before he walked over toward the gate curiously, seeing someone standing on the other side he set to fishing in his jacket pocket for his keys, "Hey, welcome." He greeted Dritan as he unlocked the gate, looking him over, finding quite a good looking blond standing there. It had been some time since he'd had his heart broken by Aludra and he was starting to come around, as such he was able to appreciate the cutie there before him.
"Well its nice to meet you Beryl," he replied as he smiled more as he could see that he was just a bundle of energy and maybe someone that his brother would like to meet as he only knew of one other that he and his brother had met that has the same sin. His munchy wing giggles at being licked as it was something different for it as it gave nuzzles to Beryl as so did his lovey wing and his mischievous wing got close enough to get pets only his angry wing stayed alert to there surroundings as Beryl had called over his dad to open the gate and had to wonder who it might be as he did think of it might be Almas as was the only other one he had met and liked in this place.
Once seeing just who Beryl's dad was his angry wing started to glare and to growl as it didn't like techs and the other ones would have done the same thing if they weren't so interested in Beryl right now. Dritan could see that he wasn't one by the looks of him and gave his wing a slap to make it stop. "Stop it and be nice," he said as he had grabbed the wing too really quickly and starred at it. "I can see he isn't who you think it is, so stop it," Dritan had said to the wing sorta quietly. "Hi, I'm here to visit with Avis tho none know I'm visiting," he said to Aden "Also I'm Dritan," he added quickly as he didn't like to be rude either.
Beryl was only to happy to give all of the wings attention, petting them, nuzzling them, hugging them, then turned to look up at his Daddy as he approached, "Look! Ella-la wings!" He chirped in an excited manner, apparently pleased with the sight of them.
Aden nodded his head, seeming to be more taken by the main body then the wings of this spawn, "Aren't you a cute one." He complimented Dritan before giving the spawn his best smile, "My name is Aden Boggs, I'm a Doctor here. A medical one mind you, not a science one." He didn't want for the spawn to think him on the same level as a tech when he had so many wings that would likely eat him if they thought him a danger. He held a hand out to Dritan, offering him a shake.
Most of the wings were enjoying all of the attention that Beryl was giving them as they in turn nuzzled and licked Beryl as they found him fun! As they gave there own chirps of excitement.
At that comment Dritan blushed a little as he himself didn't think that he was all that cute, but he thought that he must have to some point if Iah has given him a kiss. Quickly he looked away from Aden back to the wing he was currently holding by his mouth and giving it one more shake to make sure it behaved itself as it had heard that he wasn't what it was thinking. Letting the wing go that stopped it glaring to just watching carefully to all that was around. "That is what I thought you have a different feel to you," Dritan said but he just didn't know how to explain but it was mostly do to his mother in a round about way teaching him about ninja things and how read people body language. "Its nice to meet you," he said as he reached out and gave Aden's hand a shake as he smiled.
Aden grinned, lifting Dritan's hand up to give the back of it a kiss before withdrawing before the wings could try to eat him. He could tell that they were likely like Ella's wings meaning dangerous, "Would you like an escort to where Avis is at? Or would you rather head there on your own?" Aden asked, knowing he might have to scoop up Beryl to keep him from following Dritan since it seemed that the glowing boy was completely taken by the wings, likely wanting to spend the rest of the day petting them.
Blushing even more now as he couldn't figure out to why people wanted to kiss him as that was in its own right a strange concept. The mean wing just smiled and giggled at his boys confusion of the kiss as it could see that Dri was right about this Aden and deemed him okay for now and Dritan a little shocked and not really knowing what to say for a second and then thought to what Aden had to say as he could see that Beryl really like his wings more so that any other spawn that he had encountered before and for the fact that his wings like Beryl was another shocker too without food being involved. "Sure I wouldn't mind as I find it really cute that Beryl like my wings," he replied as he did want to spend some alone time with Avis once he got there as he didn't know if he wanted to share his painting gift to Avis to others or at least right now as he still didn't think it was good enough for the angel.
Aden smiled as he saw how flustered the blond seemed, something that he found to be far to cute before he motioned to Beryl, "We are going to escort Dritan to the Angel Wing of the Labs." He told him, making sure to securely lock the gate before he turned to head for the Labs, opening the door to let Dritan and Beryl inside before he followed along after them and led the way toward where the Angels were homed.
"Things have been quite busy of late and there haven't been many visits to the angels and demons due to security issues, since your older and I assume your not here to cause problems that it should be alright to let you visit with Avis." Aden said to Dritan as they walked along, hoping that he was right in his assumptions.
Still with a little blush on his face as he was still was a little confused by it all as he thought on it more. He watches Aden as he locked the gate as he was still a little nervous in being in this place but let it go as he was going to see someone that he trusted and his wings like a lot. Dritan walked towards the Labs as some of his wings kept on watching Beryl. "Thanks you," he said as he passed by Aden as he was holding the door for them and then followed Aden to where the angels were being kept as he truly sorta didn't remember on how to get there and was glad to have Aden show him the way.
"Oh, I didn't know. I haven't been here since the last time I visited Avis," he said as he listened to what Aden was saying and smiled reassuringly. "I'm not here to cause problems but my wings might if given a chance, but don't worry I have treats to keep them in line," he answered. "As I'm here to visit with Avis and to give her some presents too," Dritan said as he show Aden the wrapped picture that was for the angel.
Aden looked at the wings for a long moment before he shook his head, "I don't think that they will cause enough problems to warrant your visit being seen as bothersome." He said, giving him a smile before they continued along and soon enough they were arriving where the angels were kept. The aura in the air here was a calming one, one that made a person feel more relaxed and at ease, far different from the feel of where the demon were kept that was for sure. He paused in front of the door that went to Avis's room, giving it a little knock, "She isn't a fan of men she doesn't know going into her room so I will let you go from here." He told Dritan.
A moment after he said this the blond woman with the four wings and mismatched eyes opened up the door, looking up at her son before smiling, "Dritan, you came back." She said, giving him a bright smile.
"Well the I think that they could as they are always trying to pull something at least to get me in trouble or for me to get them something that they want right now," he told Aden and returning that smile as it has been true especially to there want of there boy to go outside more than he had for a while now and they hoped with that painting done they didn't need to resort to what they had been doing. Once they had gotten to where the angels were kept, Dri's angry wing calmed down a lot as it knew where they were heading.
"Ah," he answered as he didn't know that as she waited for Avis to answer. Once she did he was all smiles and to his wings too, if one knew that Dritan's wings never hardly agreed all together on one thing, but there love for the angel was one they did as they were happy too. "I did and it good to see you, Avis," he said as he put down what he was carrying and hoping that she didn't mind but gave her a hug as his wings gave her nuzzles and purred slightly. "I also brought you presents too," he said once he had finished giving a swift hug with all of his wings smiling and happy.
Avis gave a sound of surprise that was followed by a little giggle as the woman returned the hug, her mismatched eyes closing for the moment as she enjoyed the feel of getting to hug one of her children. It was an interesting feeling emotionally, knowing that this one was her son despite her not having had him in the natural manner that humans had their children, "I am glad that you came to visit again, Dritan." She murmured, lifting on hand to give each of the wings a pet of its own so that they would feel the same affection that Dritan himself did, a very motherly action from a mother that didn't want any infighting due to jealousy.
Dritan smiled more when the hug was returned as it was a great feeling. "Me too, as I have been thinking on it for sometime, but I wanted to get something done for you before I did come back and I have it done too," he answered as each of his wings waited for there own turn to get pets from Avis and them waiting for anything was a rare thing and slightly surprised Dritan as his wings were gluttonous little creatures. After all of the affections when around and his wings all humming in delight did Dritan bend down to get the presents that he set down and picked them up and hand them over to Avis. "These are for you," he said as one package had a few books that he thought that she would enjoy and the wrapped painting was of a painting of a garden at his mother home village and a building in the far background. (Just think of a Japanese garden with an old Japanese style house in the back ground.)
Avis looked at the books that he had brought for her, just as he'd said that he would the last time they had met she thought to herself, a bit surprised and delighted that he had remembered. She reached out touch them before taking them from him, moving to set them down on a nearby table before turning to look at the wrapped gift, "Oh my." She murmured, reaching out to take the item from him, "I've never gotten a wrapped gift before." She murmured, carefully undoing the wrapping paper before looking at the painting, eyes wide, "Oh, my but this is a most pretty painting! And of such a pretty place." She tilted her head to one side, admiring the view greatly before he four wings, much like Dritan's aside from them lacking the mouths, fluttered for a moment behind her before she carried it over to set it on the top of her dresser where she would be able to admire it.
"Its a very wonderful gift, Dritan, you have a great talent for such things." She told him as she turned around, giving him a smile as she clapped her hands together happily.
Dritan smiled as she had taken the books from him as his wings contently rested there heads on Dritan's shoulders and head as they watched what was happening between there boy and Avis. "You haven't well I be glad that I brought you one," he replied as he just loved Avis just as much as he did his mother. Hearing how much Avis like his painting he blushed as he thought it wasn't all that good. "Well I'm glad that you like it. Its one of my favorite places to visit when I be out at my mothers village," he said as he was still blushing a little some as he watched her put it up. "Well I don't think I do...ouch," he said as he was going to say more before one of his wings bit him for his own stupidity for not being good. "Well I'm still very glad that you like them, Avis," he said as rubbed his arm were one of his wings had bit him but not hard enough to draw blood.
Avis smiled as she approached her... son once more. It was interesting to think of it in that way, her son. At first the thoughts had always embarrassed the Chastity angel but now a days she rather liked the thoughts of it, "Dritan, do you go to many books stores?" She found herself asking of her son as she got close to him, looking at the bite mark on his arm before looking up at the wing that had done it, giving it a pat on the head. She didn't like that it was bitey but was glad that it had kept Dritan from saying what he was about to say since it hadn't sounded good to her.
Still rubbing the bite mark as he gave it a quick look and saw that is was just red and he knew what wing did it, but didn't do anything about it as he knew it was just stopping from him say that he wasn't any good as an artist as this has come up many times before and was just a warning bite as he has many other bites that were a lot worse, but he always made sure not to let anyone see those ones. "I do go to a few of them and walk by many others when I go to the art stores and running errands for the household," he said as he started to pet one of his wings as he gave her another smile. "Is there anything that you want me to pick up for you at one of them?" he asked wondering what she had in mind.
Avis paused for a moment, chewing on her lower lip in a rather thoughtful manner as he asked her if there was anything that she wanted him to pick up for her, "Ahh... yes, there is one thing." She murmured, looking down at her feet for a long moment before she lifted her gaze, "I want... want a book about raising children and perhaps a book on baby names." She spoke her request to her son in a very quiet whisper, wanting nobody else but him to know about what she was thinking at the moment or what sorts of books it was that she was wanting.
Dritan listened to her very carefully and waited patiently to what Avis was telling him as his wings all had there ears cocked in the direction of the angel to were they could hear too even tho they didn't have to do so to hear as they always knew what was going on around them. He did have to wonder to what she wanted those type of books for, but he wasn't going to question it either as he was just going to do it. "I can go and get those type of book for you right now if you like and be back really quick," he answered her as he did know some ninja stuff he was learning in the village and this would be a good time to use them.
Her eyes got wide, "Ahh... really? Today?" She asked in surprise, she didn't want to hurry him off but the idea that he might be able to bring those books back to her, it made it tempting. She crossed her arms over her chest and seemed to be debating over the idea, "I... maybe, I would hate to make you go so far out of your way when you only just arrived." She told him, giving him a smile. It would seem rude to chase him off in such a manner after all and Avis was far from rude.
"Yes I can and I would do anything for you Avis," he answered her with a little giggle and a huge smile. As it wouldn't take him long if he ran most of the way and with the help of Tarth he could make it back here in no time flat. Those watching eyes of his wings saw it all and they knew it was important as to what there boy was thinking as then they got up from where they were resting and started to chirp at Dri to make him go more. "No worries and I will be back in no time flat to where we can visit more," he said as he gave her another swift hug and each of his wings gave he a small kiss in there own fashion. "I will be back, Mom," he whispered in her ear to only she could hear as he let her go and was out of the room faster than she could have stopped him as he didn't she wasn't rude it was just that Dritan would do anything for Avis.
Avis gave a little smile as the young man not only agreed to help her but seemed to be quite enthusiastic about it, going as far as to call her 'Mom' which had her cheeks going a rather bright color of pink, "Thank you, Dritan." She murmured and a moment later he was gone, leaving her alone in her room once more. She starred at the door for a moment before she picked up on of the books he'd brought for her, hugging it to her chest before she walked over to her bed, sitting down on the edge of it, rested the book on her lap, and started to thumb through it curiously.
It hadn't taking him all that long to get the books that he was looking for to get for Avis with the help of Tarth and his teleporting abilities as Dritan had called Tarth once he had gotten outside of the gates and down the road a little and off to the bookstores to get the books.
It had only taken him about a half an hour to get what he wanted to get and Tarth had left him near the gates but Dritan just jumped up and over the wall forgoing waiting for anyone to open the gate for him as he walked in and went right for the angel wing of the Labs. Getting to Avis's door and knocking on it as he wasn't going to just walk in as that would be rude. As he had gotten many books on what she had wanted as he and his wings were holding onto bags that held all the different books.
Avis lifted her head as he heard the knock on her door, she checked the page she was on in the book before closing it, setting it aside so that she could go and answer the door. Her lips turned up into a smile before she stepped back, allow Dritan to come back into her room, "You weren't gone that long, did you have trouble finding the books?" She asked before noticing all the bags that he was holding between himself and his wings, "Oh my, you found a lot of them." She murmured, quite curious to peek at them and see what sorts of interesting information might be within them.
Dritan gave her a smile as he walked into the room. "Nope I didn't as it was easy. The book stores make it easy by putting all the books in sections, I just had to find the right one," he said as he put his books down on the table as did all but one of he wings as the one wing handed the one book it was carrying over to Avis as the other ones giggled at it. "I did as I didn't know what specifically you wanted so I just got a good variety of all of what I found," he replied as he had gotten some strange looks when he was buying the books but was taken care of when he told the lady they were for his mom.
She gave another smile as she peeked into the bags, to look at all the subject material on hand before she reached inside to pick one of them up. She looked the cover over, flipped it over to look at the back, then turned it over again so that she could open it up to look inside, "It seems a strange sort of books for an angel of my virtue to read, isn't it?" She asked of her son, wondering what he might think about the idea that she was looking such things over. She was supposed to be a Chastity angel, yes, but at the same time she had to admit that since she had met with Dritan the first time she had started to wonder about what it might be like to be a mother, to raise a little one of her own, and as such she felt the need to have such books.
Dritan thought it was cute to see Avis looking at one of the new books that he had gotten for her. "Not really everyone get curious about things that they don't know and there should be no shame in that as its good to be curious about things as its also good to learn new things as in the long run you have more knowledge to help those that might need it one day," he replied. He might get very embarrassed in how babies are made but it always good to know how to take care of them just in case and to help others if they ask if you know. "It will be loads of fun to learn about all of this, there is no harm in learning new things," he said as it was true even for him as when he was younger he didn't want to learn his mothers ways of a ninja but now he does as he sees the benefits of him learning it and how to use it to protect those he loves.
She gave a happy smile when he responded in such a manner, "I am glad that your able to understand." She murmured, flipping through the pages before she closed the book, "Its not.. only curiosity though." She told him before looking from side to side, lifting up on her tip toes so that she could whisper to him, "I plan on shedding my wings soon so that I can have a baby." She told him, her voice so quiet that the only ones who would be able to hear her plan would be Dritan and his wings but only if they leaned in close enough. She drew back and then smiled again, a very excited and motherly sort of smile.
"Of course I need to read all of my new books first, so that I will know what to be expecting when it comes time for that."
Dritan smiled more as he wasn't one to judge others on what they wanted to learn as he knew knowledge was power and it wasn't right to do it anyways. See that she was going to whisper to there boy all of his wings leaned in to where they could hear what Avis was going to tell him as they really didn't need to as they would learn about it from Dri anyways but they wanted to anyways and they all like Avis too.
Dritan's eyes got big when he heard to what Avis was going to do as he was a little sad about her losing her wings but his own excitement over her having a baby was just so exciting and his wings did agree with there boy in that joy as they wanted to see just as much as Dritan did. "That is very cool!! I'm excited for you," he said as his body just scream excitement as he was just holding it back, but his wings were another matter as they were reaching out to her and licking her and giving her kisses. "Yes I can see why you needed those books and that is a good idea too and I will help you out as much as I can," he said still excited about it all.
Avis couldn't help but to giggle when the wings started to give her great amounts of affection as she told her news to them and Dritan, she gave a happy sound and clapped her hands together, "Thank you Dritan! I am quite excited about it, its been something I have been thinking about for a long time." She told him, taking him as her confidant in this moment. She clasped her hands in front of her against her heard and smile, "I know in my heart that its the right thing to do and the right time, I am sure that the Boss of this place will be greatly displeased but if I tell him ahead of time what I plan to do he will have time to take what he needs of me to cover the time between now and when they are able to find someone to replace me. I feel... very guilty that there will be another who comes to replace me but I can only hope that he or she remains more patient then by brothers and sisters who have gone on before me." She murmured, bowing her head for a moment as she thought about them and then gave a little sound of sadness when she thought of them.
Dritan had to giggle more as it was funny to see his wings so affection to others besides himself and he was very happy for Avis too as she looked so happy over the decision she had made. "Your welcome," he replied as he wings did stop with there kisses on Avis as they settled down on Dritan but still watching. "And that is all that really matters," he said as his mean wing gave a soft growl when Avis talked about the boss as it didn't like the man one bit and had a very big desire to bite the man really hard. "That is a good idea, but do be careful I wouldn't trust the man fully as you heard the reaction of one of my wings about him," he added as that wing nodded in agreement to what its boy said. Dritan was a little short for words as he truly didn't know what to say to her as he saw her sadness for the one that would come and replace her. "Don't feel too guilty as you know what you do is right and you can only hope for the one that comes after you will hold out in the long run," he said trying to comfort her as he truly didn't know what to say as he was only trying and he wanted to see her happy with her decision. "Well you could always leave a note for who ever will come after you to give them inspiration,"
Avis's mismatched eyes got a little wide before she nodded her head, "That is a wonderful idea, I do believe that I will write a note for the one who comes here next." She murmured, it was the least that she could do after all for the one that would come after her, to tell them that they would have to be strong, not to give up, and not to worry to hard. That there was good that came of this place in the form of the children that were born from them as well as the demons that stayed here, "Yes, I will do that." She said again, more to herself this time before she smiled once more, lifting her gaze to her son once more.
"I think that I might start to look through some of the books that you got me, would you like to stay and keep me company while I read? Or do you have places to be today?" She asked of him as she started to look through the bags, to check out all of the books he'd brought to try to decide which she would read first.
Dritan was glad that he had said the right thing and smiled about it. "Well I'm glad to be of some help," he said as he had been unsure on what to say. "I can even paint up a small picture to go with that note if you want," Dritan suggested as it wouldn't be too much trouble and he thought it would be fun as he would have to decide on what it would be as he just kept on smile at her.
"I would love too and I think that I will look over a few of them with you as I don't have to be anywhere today and my wings will tell me when its time to go," he replied as he did want to just spend time with his mom even if they were reading he didn't mind either way and he knew once his wings were board or hungry the would let him know it was time to go.

The most recent events were on his mind, not just because a fire had started in the basement...a holy one at that, but with J'her suddenly ascending it meant he needed to replace her and demons didn't just fall from the sky.
A squeak of his chair indicated shifted weight, he needed to get that fixed. It bothered him he hadn't seen his sister in awhile, not that he wanted to see her, but she was being far too quiet. Plus he had his...'son' to deal with..the list went on and on.
Rubbing his temples the first signs of stress were beginning to show. How much longer would he be able to run this show before finally just trying a more direct approach and loosing hell upon the earth? He enjoyed subtle moves much more than a direct approach.
Leaning back he closed his eyes and tried to sort through his thoughts. There were simply far too many of them to really sort, at least accurately.
Avis was in a good mood, had been spending her time reading over the books that her darling son had brought to her, and she had started to grow more and more excited for what was going to happen to her. Just the thought of it had her heart fluttering in her chest and she would lay her hands on her belly as she tried to figure out what it might feel like to have a child growing there.
Today she was doing something that was very strange for her, and any of the angels really, she was leaving the Angel wing of the Labs. The last time someone had done this it was Anani and Jhor and they never came back, before that it was Hyacinth and he too never returned. It was a touch scary as she passed by the point of no return and was soon on her way to her destination, the office of the man that had captured the lot of them, bring them here to work on creating the many children that had come from this place. She took in a deep breath to calm her fluttering heart, this was something that she could do... and it wasn't as though it could be stopped, her wings were already fading, no longer so much golden as they were a light brown. Soon they would vanish completely, shed to empower her body so that she was ready to have a child. It was something that was special to her kind, to be able to have a child was a wonderful thing, to bring new life to the world. Because she was a Chastity angel though she first had to lose her angelic status before she was able to contemplate becoming a mother.
She wouldn't be Fallen, instead she would merely become mortal. There was no reason to punish her for wanting a baby after all.
Pausing in front of the door to the frightening man's office she took in a deep breath to steady herself before lifting a hand up, knocking. She merely had to talk with him, giving him time while she was still an angel to take more of her blood to have for future experiments, wanting for him to be ready for the future. It would give him less of a reason to get upset or so she believed, "I would like a word with you, Mr Vampy." She said, looking at the door, awaiting a response.
At first, there was dead silence. No response uttered from inside of the room. Perhaps he was not there, or perhaps he remained quite out of anger, or the surprise of hearing an angel's voice kept him finding his voice. To b sure the reason was uncertain.
Then the door opened, swinging on its hinges lightly as if a gust of air had pushed it. But there was no wind, not even the faintest of breezes. As the door stood open for the angel of Chasity, it revealed a lone figure sitting in the room, arms folded neatly on the desk, his golden eyes glittering from the depths of the dimly lit room.
It was as if he was truly a creature not of this earth, even if he passed off as human his silver hair was unnatural for mortals and his golden eyes seemed to want to suck in your soul. His aura was astounding. Pulsating around his body like a living creature writhing for freedom, as if he was trying to restrain it and hold it at bay. Slowly the room lightened the aura dissipated as this happened he leaned back into his chair looking worn. He gestured for Avis to come inside though he turned his face so as if he didn't have to look at her, perhaps she was too bright for him to view in his world of darkness.
He seemed to be dreading her visit, tense, the fist on the table betrayed his restraint. Surely he did not already know her request? Last everyone checked he was not a mind reader, but for an angel to leave the sanctuary...something dire must be afoot.
"To what do I owe this visit..... Avis?" Mr Vampy's voice finally spoke, it was low, and accusing, as if he was ready to put her at fault without even hearing out why she has come.
How he was desperate for a pot of tea right now.
Avis took in a deep breath to calm her nerves that seemed to be instantly shaking when she saw the man that was in charge of the Labs. He really was an intimidating one, wasn't he? She stepped through the doors to his office, walking across the room, and then settled into the chair in front of his desk in a graceful manner, hands coming to rest on her lap, her many wings closing against her back, "Mr Vampy." She murmured, looking at her hands for a moment with her mismatched eyes before lifting her gaze.
"I... know that this place is very important to you, you take good care of it and as good of care of those who reside within it as you are able." He couldn't be everywhere at once which meant that he couldn't look after everyone, couldn't save everyone, and as such as much as one would think that she should be angry at him for the blood that was spilled in this place she couldn't. Avis was just not an angry person, had no desire for revenge, just wanted to be allowed to live in a peaceful manner, "It is because you have taken care of me all this time that I have come to sit before you now, to speak with him."
She paused for a moment, lifting one hand to rest it against her chest as she took a steadying breath before she continued, "I am... going through a process that is for my people alone, for the females of my clan only." She told him, "I wanted to warn you before the process is complete, so your able to get a few extra vials of my blood to continue creating children from that piece of me until your able to replace me. It is something you must do soon though, Sir, as I am will soon shed my wings and become mortal."
Once her piece had been spoken she rested her hands in her lap... and she waited.
The man listened, though it was an agitated silence his eyes bore into the angel figure as if staring at her would make her suddenly change her mind or her words. At the first part he didn't know what she was getting at, was she thanking him? For what? Kidnapping, keeping her against her will...sure he offered protection and food in exchange for the blood he took from the celestial's and demons but no one had ever thanked him for it before. It made him instantly paranoid.
He watched as she lifted a hand to her chest as if breathing had become difficult, he hadn't unleashed his aura... otherwise she'd probably be fleeing the room. Vampy looked at her processing the information she had given him.
"I apologize if I remain ignorant to your..clans ways. May i inquire what process you are undergoing exactly? Perhaps there is a way to prevent it from continuing." He offered trying to sound concerned? He was concerned, after all if Avis became mortal that meant he'd lose yet another angel. If there was a way to stop it...he would do it.
The blond woman gave a soft laugh, "Ahh, to prevent it? I can't say for certain but when the process starts its not a bad thing or one that should be prevented, its merely because we have fulfilled our duty as an angel and wish to become something else, something more." She explained to him, giving a soft smile, "I've met with my children while here, those that this place has created. They are all so wonderful and... well... I have decided that I wish to become a mother again, through the more natural means."
The golden look to her wings seemed to lose its sheen as she spoke, a slow going process but for one like Vampy he could see it easily, the way that her holy powers seemed to be waning, "I can't be both a Chastity Angel as well as a Mother, I can be one or the other and I wish to be the latter. I do hope that you can forgive me this selfishness." She told him, hands lowering to rest once more on her lap, wings giving a slight twitch as she waited to see what he would say.
To be frank Vampy was silent, silently staring at Avis as if she had decided to speak nonsense for this entire time. He noted the lack of sheen the obvious waning of her powers if what she spoke was true then like some horrible incurable disease he'd be forced to let Avis go. He broke from his statuesque pose to rub his temples as if he suddenly had developed a rather nasty migraine.
"Then you are lost to us, as there is no means to stop you from going mortal...I hope you realize with your powers gone you no longer have a place among us here? It sounds harsh but I can't offer protection to everyone you will need to like J'her find a new place to live. Do you understand this? Until you are mortal however...you can remain here." He clarified cause he couldn't home angels who were mortal now...nor demons who were no longer demons.
"Do you have a special someone you are considering to help you along with your goal?" He inquired more so to figure out if he needed to separate the two if it happened to be one of the angels at the facility.
Avis gave a nod of her head, "I understand." She murmured, giving him a smile, "I wouldn't force you to continue to take care of me when I am no longer of use to you. I have a place that I will be able to move to when I get to the point that my wings are shed, until then I believe that you should take what blood you can from me so your research and the births of the children here can continue on." She told him, seeming to understand well enough. She wasn't a scientist by any stretch of the imagination and as such wouldn't be able to find a secondary job into this place.
"Someone... special." She murmured, cheeks burning a little, "Ahh, no. Not yet... but I am sure that I will be able to meet someone where I am going... well perhaps." She didn't know the first thing about dating but she supposed that she could always as Dritan to point her in the right direction to those who were good candidates for a possible husband and father to her children. She shook her head to force away her blush, "I am sure that I will figure it out as I go, I am new to the whole idea but I think it will wonderful."
Vampy sighed still wishing there was a way to stop her from losing her powers but it seemed like the fates were against him he rubbed his forehead again. Someone special indicated she had no idea who yet, a sigh of relief issued from him. At least that meant he didn't have to destroy her hopes of having a child with someone from the facility.
"Then since you are willing to have blood drawn I will need you to head to the hospital wing we obviously can't drain you of your blood so we will need to take a little at a time to do it safely.." He replied before leaning back in his chair taking a regular pen and using it to jot some notes down.
"We are done here Avis, ..I appreciate you coming to inform me in advance."
The young woman, or at least the woman that appeared young, gave a smile before she rose up to her feet, "I will go to the Medical Ward then to speak with the Doctor that works here about having my blood drawn." She told him, giving a little nod of her head. She started across the room, pausing as she reached the door before turning to look over her shoulder at the man that was sitting at his desk looking as though he were getting a head ache. She looked a tough guilty for being a bother to him him and knew she had one last question to ask of him, "If possible, when I shed my wings, is there a way to get in touch with my son, Dritan?" She asked of Vampy, knowing that if anyone would take her in it would be her dear boy.
Vampy had turned in his chair after dismissing her not expecting her to linger to ask one more question. It didn't surprise him, angels and mortals alike were so attached to each other.
"Just because you won't be living here doesn't mean your forbidden to see him. You can get his address and number from the secretary at the front desk." He muttered before giving her another dismissive wave with his hand.
