He'd been following the senshi for about ten minutes, at this point -- hanging back and watching him, bolas dangling loosely in his fingers, and his expression considering.
Ilmenite was in a mood; after a week or so of practicing with his new weapon, his aim was acceptable if not great. His first goal had been to truss up the trunk of an oak, and that had taken him much longer than reasonable. Hours upon hours of tossing and fumbling, trying to get the stretches of rope to spin at the proper speed and angle, had been followed up with approximately as much drinking. Once he'd managed the basics, he'd moved on to slimmer branches, coke bottles.
Now he succeeded in hitting what he was going for about six times out of ten, and had had several brief, lucky experiences with moving targets.
His plan had originally been practice on another officer, a volunteer, but after several less than fantastic attempts at training with his peers, Ilmenite had tossed that. He was going to go into the fray, instead, and this senshi seemed big enough that he wouldn't be able to miss.

He'd made sure to change his traditional routes and habits. He'd been extremely damn careful of that, after the last run in with Painite... that had been a nightmare, though it had taught him considerably more about watching -where he landed-.
He was also getting a little more careful about paying attention to any power signatures that cropped up 'on the radar' so to speak, and he was starting to wonder if the Queen of Melodrama was following him -again-. Something dark kept cropping up just at the edges of how far he could sense, then vanishing again. It was like trying to catch a moving itch and it was -also- driving him crazy.
He paused to glare around, looking for any trace of the short haired female agent and her damnable javelin, though at least this time he was free to dodge it, but, blast it, couldn't spot her.
She might talk like a Bond villain but she was apparently pretty good at hiding, and he wasn't especially thrilled at that discovery.
"I swear to god I'm going to move to Australia." he complained, starting off again, hoping that maybe he could loose her based on speed alone.

No such luck; Regulus went and Ilmenite followed, a nagging aura at the edges of his senses. Possibly the Negaverse's new policy was to annoy and fluster senshi by always hopping just out of reach, staying out of sight, a constant flicker around them. Drive them to paranoia.
Or maybe Ilmenite was just a little slower than he wanted to be.
He couldn't quite catch up, was breathless and grumbling and considering teleportation except for the follow-up exhaustion and suffering that came with it. It was wearing him down enough already, leaving him sucking in deep lungs full of air, his eyes narrowed and locked on the distant form of Senshi.
It wasn't until Regulus paused again that he leapt in to take advantage. No, he still wasn't as good with his weapon as he wanted to be, but this was the point: practice, and if all else failed, he could always zip away, couldn't he? He let the bolas fly toward the Senshi's legs, finally visible, the white of his hair a pale shock against dark sky.
