Weeks started to fly by, homework was piling up, and club activities were getting more interesting. Damien was prepping for the upcoming paintball match with N.A.P. club, considering that he had to become a better shooter for his team. In between the lectures and piles of homework, he went to the club regularly to do his running and practice with the paintball guns. Considering all the laps he did with the armor on, it was getting much easier to maneuver with the extra padding on.
Throughout all the constant changing of clothes and armor and towels of the sauna on a nearly daily basis, the hellhound never noticed that something went missing from his attire. How could he notice when he spent all his time at the gun range or with his head stuck in his notes?
Somewhere out there, he was sure his father was scolding him from afar for losing something that precious, without realizing it.

Damien wasn't the only one prepping for the upcoming matches. Jericho was rather psyched about the whole thing and if he wasn't just working out in the club, he was working with the guns as well. Right after the orientation, he had found an interesting pendant, but he hadn't tossed it into his pile of treasure just yet.
This was partially due to forgetting it was in his pocket since things got rather busy after he had found the thing.
He remembered it when he was changing once in the locker room as it managed to fall out of his pocket as he removed his coat. It was a pleasant little surprise and he immediately recalled where he had gotten the thing. The dragon was going to need to make sure to toss it into his hoard later on once he got back to his room. In the meantime, he took a few moments to admire the shiny.

Damien was just coming back from the range to grab his waterbottle that he left in his locker when he noticed Jericho getting ready for his own practice. He didn't see much of the red dragon since the island other than a few classes they had together. It wasn't easy finding the time to talk to him inbetween all the running they did with Professor Red, or the seating arrangements in human studies.
So it was nothing more than a simple nod to the boil and a casual greeting while he went to pop open his own locker. "Hey Jericho, comin' in for extra practice as well?" he said offhand before taking a hearty swig from the bottle, feeling cool liquid pool in his stomach in a satisfying way. "So, what do you think NAP's chances are against us?" He asked aloud before turning his head at the sound of a trinket falling, its soft chime reaching the hounds sensitive ears.
It was the sight of something he never expected to see; his necklace in the hands of another person. The green tip eard boil could only watch stiffly as the dragon palmed his pendant. "Wh-where did you get that shiny bauble from?" he asked aloud, trying to keep the edge of his voice down as best as he could.

"Yeah, doesn't hurt to get some extra practice in and all," Jericho replied while looking up to see the hellhound coming back. Then, with a smirk, he added, "Heh. I don't think they stand a chance! I mean... they're there to relax and nap and stuff."
Glancing back down at the pendant, he grinned even more while holding it up so Demi could see it better. He didn't quite get why the guy sounded a little shocked there, but didn't think much of it.
"Oh this? I found it on the ground a couple weeks back. Pretty sweet find, hm?" he replied, still rather happy with the shiny.

Demi had to resist the urge to clutch his chest and search for his trinket. He was convinced that it can't be his pendant, it was a doppleganger, a perfect copy.
'Yeah, what do they know about the art of war." he said flatly, his eyes never blinking away at the honey colored jewel that was between the dragon and himself.
He could swear he still felt the comfortable weight of it around his neck.
Demi watched the dragon feeling so pleased with his acquisition, while on the other side of the coin, the hound left like he was dying inside without it. He went to go change his shirt and to check to see if he truly lost it. and he stood there, bare chested and in turmoil.
He didn't feel the colder metal on his skin. "On the ground you say?" He said before giving a slight pause to the rhetorical question. "How lucky for you." he said simply, hiding his tightened fist behind his back. "So...... what do you plan on doing with it?"

Jericho could swear that there was something to Damien's tone. Maybe the guy was having a bad day or something along those lines. He watched the other monster for a bit, then shrugged to finish changing, placing the pendant back into his coat pocket in the meantime.
"Yeah. It's not every day that I get to find a new shiny like this," he replied, "I'll be adding this one to my treasure pile later on when I head back to my room."
With his back turned towards Demi, he didn't see the clenched fist at all. In general, he didn't even begin to think that the cause of the tension was because of the pendant.
"By the way, is something up? You seem kinda tense."

Damien was trying his best to keep himself in check by taking deep breaths. Jericho had his pendant, that was unmistakeable now. Much to his dismay he watched as the dragon tucked away his precious keepsake and spoke about his treasure pile. The hound could only assume it would be thrown in there carelessly, never to see the outside world and his hands, ever again. He couldn't help the whine that was building up with him.
The hellhound was feeling threatened by the loss of something vital to him and was quickly losing his control.
He looked at the dragon with the barest of smiles, struggling with the internal battle of emotions in his head, much like an arm wrestling match. The calm arm was slowly reaching the table. "Me, tense?" he barked out quickly and waved his arm in the air as if to dismiss the thought. the calm arm was still losing its struggle.
"I'm not tense, I'm just....so happy that you collect such nice things." he blurted out, trying his best not to say that he felt robbed of his memento of home to the boil. "I can't even imagine what else you have in the hoard of treasures."
He could feel the control of his mind slipping away, the calm arm lost his match as the glow in his eyes shifted to a different hue. The hounds eyes narrowed into slits as he watched the dragon. "Enough wit tha' bullcrap, I want the pendant returned to this body dragon." He grumbled out loudly. "The alpha dog might be kind to you, but I'm not."

Hearing the whine, Jericho slowly turned around to see what was wrong. Even though Demi said he wasn't tense, he was acting pretty weird. Then again, he didn't know the hellhound all that well so maybe this was more along the norm for the guy. Things were starting to get kind of awkward though.
"All sorts of things," he started while tilting his head some. His golden eyes soon narrowed a bit as he saw something change within Damien. Did his eyes just shift? Well his tone certainly has, and it was one the dragon didn't really care to hear.
"What the Jack?" he furrowed his brow, "What the hell are you talking about Demi? What alpha dog? And what do you mean 'returned'?"
Maybe the guy was referring to Shehk? No, she didn't seem much like an alpha. Maybe Nuk.. or someone.. He didn't know.

The Hellhound could only bark out his laughter at the Dragons confusion, considering the situation, as the laughter died down and continued to glare at the other boil. "First of all, if you think I'm that weakling Demi, your half right and half wrong." He said in a deadpanned voice. "I'm a part 'f that mutt, another side t' him, he's the Alpha dog. You're currently dealing with the Beta Dog, Melas." He gave the dragon a bow before flipping him off. he always hated how the Alpha never bothered to explain his condition to other people and left it to Gamma and himself.
He watched as the dragon just stood there, trying to process what just happened, already getting bored of the standard situation when it came to meeting new people. "But that crap don't matter right now, bottom line; that pendant belonged to this body before your grubby little hands decided to pick it up, and I want it back to where it belonged. ya follow me, Puff?"

From the sounds of things, Demi had a bit of a split personality issue or something along those lines. Frowning at this, he stared hard at Melas before narrowing his eyes further. He definitely didn't like how this guy was speaking to him.
"And how am I to know that this really belonged to you hm?" he growled, practically snarling at the little nickname Melas tossed at him, "How can I tell that you're not just out to snag some of my treasure, Pup?"
Yes, he could toss nicknames right back. But he really had no way of telling if Demi was the owner of the pendant right now. The comment said before the switch could be taken that he was interested in his hoard as well.

Melas couldn't believe the audacity of the dragon."I could care less about your treasure dragon." he spat out venomously at the other boil, unable to hold back its irritation of the boils question. "Your holding a keepsake from my clan, a part of this body." He then bared his teeth to the boil to give him a good look.
"That pendant has one of my infant fangs in there, take a good look inside bub, see for yourself." he told the boil, daring him to look for himself. Now, what do you have to say for yourself?

Practically baring his teeth right back, Jericho went and grabbed the pendant once more to give it another look. Well it certain had a dog's tooth in it, but that alone didn't say it necessarily was one of Demi's old fangs. A part of him had to wonder if the hellhound was really able to identify the tooth type from the distance he stood at earlier or even really tell if there was a tooth there to begin with.
It was a pretty small tooth too.
The dragon looked back and forth between the two a little longer. He did not want to give up the item, but at the same time he wasn't a thief. Well. In a loose extent he supposed he was... considering looting and pillaging was something that ran in the family. But he did not loot or pillage things from friends and allies.
Grimacing, he begrudgingly held out the pendant to Damien.
"Fine, take it," he said, sounding a bit unhappy.

Melas didn't care for how the dragon was treating the pendant that was like an extension of his body. And he would not take the situation to his elders, it would just result in more scoldings and tirades and headaches. If they still bothered to keep in contact with him that is. No calls, no care packages, nothing.
All the hound had was that little gem and he'd be damned if he lost that. He wasn't sure the dragon could understand the concept of loss. He did watch Jericho with a careful eye as he reached out to grasp the pendant gingerly, the gentle tough of the stone in his hands making his anxiety ebb away. "Thank you Jericho." He said gruffly, already taking the gem and rubbing it against the hem of his shirt to give it the luster he was well fond of.
"It was my mothers, so it means a lot to me-well, us." he told the boil, without ever really expecting the question to be said.

Once Melas had the pendant, Jericho let go and let his hand drop back to his side. He watched the hound carefully, noticing the care taken to handle the trinket. It was similar to how he treated some of his more precious treasures. The explanation given just gave the reasoning for it as well. It seemed the pendant held a great deal of sentiment for Damien.
"Well, at least you didn't end up dropping it in the lake or whatever," the dragon replied. Or picked up by someone who would be even less willing to give up the thing when found he supposed.
"Your mother kept a pendant of one of your teeth?" he asked with a tilt of his head.

The world got whitewashed into the background as Melas stared into the clear amber toned jewel. One of the very few things in life that had a calming effect for the multi personalitied hellhound. It was priceless to him when he stayed with his clan, the emergency method of dealing with the other parts of himself . "Your right, Thank Kerberos's spirit that didn't happen." he said outloud, as hardened emerald eyes found a softer edge and Damien fell back into place within his body.
He turned his head to Jericho and his question with the pendant dangling from his human fingers. "Yeah, it was my first tooth I lost, she said the tooth demon came and took it in my sleep, but a week later she was walking around with this ol' thing round her neck." He said with faint grin on his face, his mind already lost in its memories. "You mean your family have no special mementos of you, or things you have from home?"
