Glozelle:
Glozelle had laid down where he had been sitting by the water, not feeling strong enough to try and find some shade to lie in. Besides, Caspian had gone off to get someone of authority within the pride, so it would be best if he stayed where his half-brother had last seen him rather than cause any trouble.
He was too tired to cause trouble even if he wanted to.

His helm lay in the sand beside him and he'd shaken his pelt to one side so that it lay mostly in the sand. It was filthy anyways, but at least it wasn't making him hot anymore. With the blue fur off of his back, the deep wounds that had been inflicted were now exposed to view. His assassin had attacked Gloz when he had been bathing, intending it to look like he had been attacked by crocodiles. he had only been wearing the helm in the water, so his pelt had not been damaged in the fight, though the inside was stained with dried blood.

His back, however, was a mess. It looked as if his assassin had gotten the jump on him, literally, managing to sink his teeth into the muscle between Gloz's shoulders and raking his claws down the general's sides. Gloz had managed to shake him off, had fought the other lion back until he managed to gore the other lion with his helm.
The large lion rolled over onto his side, letting his aching paws rest in the cool water as his eyes remained ever so slightly open. No matter how safe Caspian thought this place was, there was nowhere safe for him. He had to remain watchful alert, or his life was forfeit.

Ebio'Femi:
Comparmised by her inability to say 'no'/ She continued on her life with her REAL father and siblings. After the major reveal that she wasn't blood related to the God of fustration and Play, things go complicated and having to explain that she adopted the Goddess of Confusion as a mother. Therefore, wanting to be apart of the family but that ended up breaking more hearts than she thought and causing some shame across her siblings. After the insident she had encountered an enchanting Lion, whom traveled with several lionnesses close to the pride. Providing them with water and shelter before they left just outside the pridelands. In the very small time she learned so much and decided that her pride.. Though things may not change about her family. She loves them and wouldn't ever abandon them. So she went back home, full of heart and being intoduced back as a nanny. She would take in all the misfits, all the abandon cubs she could and give them a mother they could believe in.

While her friends paraded proudly with their mates, she did not have one and realized as she gained cubs to take care of, that finding a mate now was hopeless and would never happen. Why fight the stars and gods? She could take care of herself and the cubs.. That's all she needed anyhow. As she showed the litter she was taking care of off, she was left alone. Still attending some school lectures, she found herself bored and walked away from them. Standing at the edge of one of the temples, where the oasis down below laid. Her ears pricked up with the very slight sound of movement and the smell of another near.

Her eyes went gentle, from how she used to be happy and hyper, now she was still humble but held a distance within her that was made apparent when she chose to be alone. Slowly she made her way down, the smell was unfamiliar to the one's in the pride she knew and as she got closer- the sight of a huge small came to view and the wounds that made her gasp softly and hide under her hair tuff.."Oh my..." Her voice was just a whisper in the air.

Glozelle:
Gloz's ears missed no sound as he lay partly in the cool water. They twitched when a soft voice reached them and his gold eyes flicked in the direction of the voice.
The large male rolled slightly and slowly reached a paw over his shoulder, hooking his claws into the pelt he wore so that he could pull it back onto his back. Whether his watcher had seen what the fight had inflicted or not he neither knew nor cared.

"My half-brother lives here." It was all he could think to say as he settled back down, an eye on the female. He was big and scarred as a warrior should be and unfamiliar, he might frighten her. And the last thing he wanted or needed was to cause an uproar in a pride he didn't even know existed until his brother had found him lying in the sand. He didn't need warriors surrounding him, leaders accusing him. Let that happen when he had the strength to deal with it. Or at the very least the strength to really sit up and hold himself upright for more than a minute or three.

Ebio'Femi:
Ebio didn't quite know what to say. His voice was different and yes, he carried himself was different from how the pride was used to. What SHE was used to. She lowered herself in to the ground and slowly slinked over.. "Your half brother?" She thought about it and didn't quite know what one was. Shaking her head and taking up a courageous close distance to him as she stood at the bank of the water. "Your back is ..well." She stopped and stumbled to ever word what she was feeling.

Horrid. She never seen the wounds that bad. "I know something that can treat it.. make it hurt a little less." She offered and rose her head up, with one eye covered by her hair tuff and tried to genuinely smile for him. It was hard.. since her happiness failed for the many recent events.

Glozelle:
Gloz wasn't sure he should tell anyone yet that he and Caspian were brothers. That they were related at all, even. He could be vague.
"My brother and I have the same father." There, he didn't say a name. Oddly enough, he and Caspian did share a lot of common traits, at least in their markings. He had more scars than the former prince, but that was to be expected. Even though Caspian had been beaten before Gloz and his cousin "lost" him, Gloz had still spent his entire life fighting. When he was old, it was enemies, sparring as a young male. His aunt as a cub. There hadn't been much Gloz and his cousin could do against Ilea, they had been too young.

So she had seen his back. His gold eyes seemed to flick away, though he kept her in the edge of his vision.
"It doesn't hurt anymore." It really didn't. In truth, he wasn't sure he could feel much there at all. His paws were certainly sore, but the rest of him almost seemed... numb. A part of him just wanted to sleep. To let the vast oblivion of rest take him. But how could he really? He'd never truly slept before. Short, light rests, it was always so. Watchful of his aunt, watchful of those who might want the aspiring warrior out of the eye of their superiors, watchful of those who thought him a threat as a general. Politics, intrigue, hate. There hadn't been time to sleep.

"I would rather you didn't touch me," he added, his eyes dragging their way back to the female. She was timid, but trying to be friendly. The first had been common among females he met that weren't fellow fighters. The second... was new.

Ebio'Femi:
"With that much you won't be healed.. and they could get worse." She took another step forward. The urge to help was at the pit of her stomach. The extending of her paw as she pulled her head up. Still trying to hide but her heart was in the right place. Helping another? She learned that from her ...'mother'. "Your brother? So you are one of us.. in blood- I do not mean to be pushy- or cause you discomfort lion. But I am sure your brother would not like you dead... right? I would not want to have a brotherin killed that's for sure.. when someone was there to help.."

Then she slowly went to sit and tried to keep as much composure. She didn't FEAR him as a scare, no, she feared him as he looked so bad that if she didn't do something and run from his words.. he'd get sick, she knew it for sure! Izzy told her so!

"Maybe some rest, may I suggest.. But.. I.. can not..allow myself to leave without seeing you well." The inside of her was turning and pulling as though she'd just want to throw up of the fear of being yelled at or overtaken. Or something of the sort.. he didn't look too happy and with her there.. She couldn't just walk away now. Her tail close and obviously with some sort of fear in her now.

Glozelle:
Gloz watched her in contemplation before she mentioned his brother wouldn't want him dead. He had to snort and look away at that one.
"I'd honestly be surprised," he muttered, not really caring if the words reached her or not. Caspian had made it clear that he wouldn't just leave him to die out in the desert, but there was really no love between them. In fact, Gloz was certain that if he died right then and there, where Caspian would not be responsible, his brother would not mourn.
It was the way of things, though. Gloz had done terrible things to his brother in the past, things he regretted but could never take back.

His thoughts slipping away, he returned his attention to her.
"You're determined, then..." It wasn't a question so much as a confirmation. With a grunt of effort, he moved one shoulder until the pelt slid back into the sand, once more revealing the blood and sand-encrusted wounds. There hadn't been time to tend them. He had needed to move on. Head returning to his paws, he watched her movements, ready in case... He really had nothing to fear from this female, she didn't seem like she would attack him. But maybe someone else... His muscles remained as tense as they could.

Ebio'Femi:
"I can not leave if that is what you mean." She tried a soft smile- it was a weak one but she tried to make it a good one. Not hearing his comment on her words but when she came close.. She was astounded by the height and just over all huge-ness. Like her father. A lot like him. Watching him in amazement and following his every move until lay a calming tone. Just barely- still wary like a cub watching out for a play mate. She knew those and she knew the trouble makers. All the same she loved them..

Taking a few steps as if he accepted her to move closer, only by the feeling he was giving her. Drawing to him as she looked at the wounds.. She had pouch with her. A small one around her paw adorned with the usual gold that the temples provided them with. But she didn't dip a paw in yet. Not until she saw it fully.. leaning over him as she examined them. They were much like the wounds Izzy described. She had treated a God once- so she trusted the word of the white music noted female as truth. Hovering her paw over his wounds before gasping as some of the most deeper ones.

"Determined only by stubbornness I suppose- I could have not let you die here without helping you, lion." Examing and not wanting to touch out of fear of him backing away form the help. "Shade.. may help? The pelt I don't think will do well for it.. do you mind going without?" Slowly with her words and letting them slip out like waters flowing down a river. Meant to be.

Meaningful only because behind them was care in her voice. She apperciated and felt relief that he let her even come as close as she was.. Looking down and away from the wounds- was muscle obviously to her and just .. she stopped and put distance away as a sign of defeat already. Those thoughts- will not come to her and show vowed them so. "There is a place I know.. that may allow more shade to you. Even rest if you allow it." She leaned down and was not too close but close enough to show that she was there. Lowering her head to his level which wasn't hard since he was much taller than her. She was just a long lionness.. not so much taller to say the least. An average lioness to the height. She could see those tensed muscles and shook her head..only to show him that she was genuinely only looking out for his well being. "Will you follow...? If not. I shall lay steps away from you til you let me." Retorting her paw back and took a few steps back. Not extending her head up at all, instead leaving it low as if she were talking to a cub. Calming and soft- that tender notion that she didn't know she had- just was born with that ability.

Glozelle:
Gloz lifted his head at her request and his paw moved to the medallion around his neck, that covered the clasp to his pelt. Moving the smooth plate aside, a claw worked until the clasp came undone. A shake and the blue fur was completely free of his shoulders.
That done, he set his head back down on his paws.
"You can't leave me, and I can't leave here. This is where my brother left me, where he will expect to find me when he returns. If I'm gone, he might have a fit or something equally unpleasant," Gloz replied, looking away from the female.

"He trusts me as much as a gazelle would trust you, mi'lady. I suppose I could move a bit, but it's best if I remain within sight of this spot." And why should his brother trust him? After all he had done, he deserved the lack of trust he had gotten. His cousin was the only creature he had ever trusted, the only one who he felt had ever trusted him in return. Was she well? Had Sopesian found out about Caspian by forcing her to talk? As his right paw, so to speak, had she been attacked as well? His eyes squeezed shut for a moment as a memory flashed through his mind, of the two of them as cubs promising to always look out for one another. And they had, until Gloz had been too weak to come back for her. She was as alone as he was, it was like losing his sister, his twin even.

When his eyes finally opened again, he glanced back at the female for a moment. She was standing away from him, it almost looked like she was giving space, as if he was skittish or something. It was almost laughable. No, he did not really trust her, but it wasn't like he could really do anything but growl at her. And even then, he probably shouldn't. He didn't want her running off to get help against the battered lion that had growled at her.

He looked away again.
"Glozelle. Stop calling me lion."

Ebio'Femi:
She wasn't the type.. to turn away. Ears pinned back as she gathered up her courage again. "Then we shouldn't upset your brother.. I'll be back then. " She turned and quickly padded back to the temple not too far off in which she came from. Plucking out leafs from the a smaller variation ( http://www.myalgeria.org/wp-content/uploads/sahara desert trees.jpg ) tree beside the temple's ground range. Snagging it and returning to him. The tree's leaves much almost reaching the length of herself as she went in front of him and stabbed it in to the sand. Taking a few steps back to align it just right before going back to him. Then to hear him share his name.

That made a smile creep along her face as she walked on over to his back and sat before licking her paws. Falling silent as she groomed her paw before dapping it in her pouch that was moist and goopy. It had remained slightly colder than the what they were currently in and applied it like paint to his back.. Meant to sooth and protect the wounds before getting better treatment. Starring at his back while carefully soothing it over his back. Feeling teh wounds under her paws and just how they felt made her want to gasp again but she held it in.

"Honey Love...." She closed her eyes and felt his body under her paw. "Ebio'Femi....is my name." Softly openning her eyes again. Tender. "I hope your brother comes soon then.. So I can help treat you better. Only.. if you'd allow me to that is... Glozelle." He reminded her of one particular cub she had encountered. Pfft, his very whits made her just want to pull out her hair but he acted so big and bad when really he was but a tender bear inside. Heh. How cubs show us the most precuilar things. Things that adults normally would not.

Glozelle:
Gloz had watched her leave, had thought maybe she had given up. It would figure. She didn't know him, didn't even know who his brother was or if he was even telling the truth. There wasn't really any need to waste her time on him.
And then she was coming back, with a huge leaf which she stuck in the sand to shade him. Were all the creatures here so considerate? A part of him felt glad for his brother, that Caspian had found a place so much better than their pride. He almost wondered if he had made himself a family here.

Then paws went to his back, putting something on it though he barely felt anything. Had the assassin accomplished part of his job? Had he damaged the general in such a way that his back would never recover? His movements were stiff as it was with the wounds to his shoulders. If he didn't recover... He'd be worthless as his aunt had always said he would be.

The female told him her name and his jaw clenched. Honey. It had been his nick-name for his cousin, after they found out her name meant honey-sweet. Her eyes looked like the stuff, too. A frown on his face, he considered what to do. He had promised her that if they ever got separated on a hunt or when they were younger, he would draw things in the sand for her, to help her find him. But he wasn't certain if she had been the one to turn on him, if she wasn't being used or followed.

"Ebio'Femi. You are much too stubborn," he replied, closing his eyes against the strange sensation of her paws on his back. He wanted to lash out at her, no creature should have the right to paw at his back, especially one he'd only just met. But whatever it was she was putting there was cool at least, and it was so hot out.
"I didn't think I had a choice. You certainly weren't giving me one earlier by refusing to leave me."

Ebio'Femi:
"Ones that are hurt- I guess don't have a choice." She let out a soft laugh.. "I can be.. it's because these cubs would take advantage if I gave up to easily." Shaking her head, until she felt that stiffness that made her stop for a moment. Looking at how much more she had to go before continuing. Slowly, stopping again then continuing. "After this.. at least this will protect your back from the heat and further worsening condition.. then you can have me leave you alone as your choice.. But til your brother comes back.. I don't think I'll leave you to your devices enough to have you hurt again. I would be throwing my oath if I did that.. Cubs are not the only ones whom sometimes need someone to care for them." Giving a nod.

Pacing her paw til she finally finished. A cool breeze started up just before she finished. A sigh a relief that the gods up above were giving them some enlightment. Like she was making the right choice in not leaving when she feared in the first greeting. "Is it hurting?" She asked and leaned back to look at his face.

Glozelle:
The more she spoke, the more irritated Gloz became. He didn't need anyone to take care of him, he was no weakling. If his back healed, it was because he was strong, he didn't truly need her help. This was all an indulgence to get her to leave him be.
His teeth were bared by the time she finished, his ears folded back.

"I let you treat my back so that you would feel accomplished and leave me alone. I don't need anyone to care for me," he said sternly. His voice was cold, without any feeling at all. It was the voice that he used with the warriors that had been beneath him, with his equals and superiors. He was emotional in his immediate reactions and many of the decisions he had made in his life, but he tried so hard to make himself seem like a mountain. A large, hard stone that nothing could break.

"If I heal or not, it will be by my own strength." One gold eye focused on her as he spoke, the lightly scarred side of his face opposite her. "It's the way things are."

Ebio'Femi:
Quieted by his mighty voice, she lowered herself but at the same time she could only see the cub she took care of. Shaking her head. "It may be how you gotten this far...right." She spoke lower than she had done when with just the slightly getting comfortable- now back a few steps again. When she finished- she took a easy steps before standing and putting herself in front of him. Cascading her shadow far behond him.. and laying down a few feet from him. Her head up but her body laxed as she lay. "It's my job to care." She huffed a little. "Threads of fate, do you know of those? If things are suppose to happen, they happen for a reason. A purpose.. I found you- and it is not by chance but by fate. It's the way things are suppose to happen.. maybe helping you- your future further down the line would be different if I had not. So if I see someone in need- if they know it or not, it is my duty to help them.." She stopped. Thinking now she had just possibly made the other more angry...

Lowering herself. "I'll shut up now." Turning face face side, that laid upon her paws.. waiting for the time to pass with him. Yes- he wasn't like a cub that she had to play and keep up with.. but still.. She could only play off of what she already knew. What her pride had shown her. Izzy would have likely helped him better but for now. This was all show could manage.. But felt the need to stay at least til his brother came. Then be on her way. Til her ears propped up by the sound.. her hair falling back in to place across one side of her face. Great- she angered him but she wasn't disappointed. Nope, far from it. Far too determined to be effected by him being upset. Sometimes- you just had to go against the will of others to help them. That's just what she had to prove now- even to herself.

Glozelle:
Gloz looked away again as she spoke. Gods, she was lecturing him. What right did she think she had to do such a thing. Most of the other warriors would have lashed out at her for such a thing, it was not a female's place. But Gloz only looked away from her, his body still stiff as he controlled his temper. She was stupid, that was all. She didn't know that no matter how much effort she put into caring for another, sometime a day would come when she needed caring for or someone to save her and no one would step forward. It was how things were.

At least, that was how life had been told to him. There had been no one there to protect two young cubs from an angry mother, no one there to save a king. Helping others only brought yourself pain. The scars on his cheek were a testament to that. But he hadn't had to kill his brother, hadn't been forced to watch his cousin beaten for her failure. He only chose the path that hurt less.
And yet here he was.

"You're far too stubborn. And dangerously naive." His words came out in a low growl.

Ebio'Femi:
Watching the sands move as she slitted her eyes and looked to him. Softly. "I am yet thankful to have met you." A smile crossed her face- and though she had been pretty much told off as she had.. she still stayed. Still watched him, and still there. Moving to her side before laying again. So she wasn't FACE to face and in his face, no. Now she laid to cascade his shadow yet again across the desert over him. Her tail coiling and uncurling. Ears back as her eyes wavered in and out of being closed.. Tucking her head in and laying on the paw without the pouch. Letting the winds wave about over, the heat beating down on her body yet she didn't seem phased by it at all.

Glozelle:
Gloz let out a small snort when she said she was thankful to have met him. He had definite doubts that she would remain in such a mindset. He was not the best lion to be familiar with.
But he did wonder what made her think so. He had done nothing overly kind to her, as he would assume a lioness like herself would be thankful for. He had been as off-putting as he usually was to strangers. He honestly had no idea.

Gold eyes glanced her way again for less than a heartbeat before turning away, waiting for his brother to come back with whomever he had gone to fetch. All the while, a stubborn lioness refusing to leave his side.
