the plain cabin. It's painted white, and had Hermes's symbol on one wall. It's also the largest cabin

Alta carefully opened the door. She wasn't sure if this was the right cabin but the huge Hermes symbol on it made her quite sure it was. The place was huge. There were tons of beds and trunks for peoples things. It wouldn't be a 5 star hotel but it was better than the questionable motels she'd been staying in. She found what seemed like the only single bed, there rest were bunk beds and flopped her suitcase on the floor, unzipped it and removed a blue netbook. "Time to learn about dad." She said quietly to herself because obviously there was no one there.

She typed in Hermes and went to the first thing that came up.
"Her·mes: noun-
1.the ancient Greek herald and messenger of the gods and the god of roads, commerce, invention, cunning, and theft. Compare Mercury."

Hmmm, that's not so bad she went on to the next link. She read about halfway though.

"Due to his constant mobility, he was considered the god of commerce and social intercourse, the wealth brought in business, especially sudden or unexpected enrichment, travel, roads and crossroads, borders and boundary conditions or transient, the changes from the threshold, agreements and contracts, friendship, hospitality, sexual intercourse, games, data, the draw, good luck, the sacrifices and the sacrificial animals, flocks and shepherds and the fertility of land and cattle. In addition to serving as messenger to Zeus, Hermes carried the souls of the dead to Hades, and directed the dreams sent by Zeus to mortals."

Wow, this guys is a busy man she thought. Then suddenly her who screen got taken over by an image of a letter with wings. She clicked on it and a little message came up.
"That little coin purse with wings you have, well it's a lot bigger than you think it is. - Love Dad"
Alta was really confused, he couldn't mean the one she had around her neck that looked like it couldn't hold more than a stick of gum. She never used it for anything, she wore it because it was cute. Alta undid the clasp and opened the bag. First she put her pinky and then slowly realized there was no bottom and soon she had put her whole hand in the bag. Marry Poppins had nothing on this thing. So in went her netbook, phone and extensive first aid kit and she merrily skipped out the door. This whole demigod thing was getting better by the second.
