I was just wondering if anyone had heard of Lisa Lampanelli's solution to the Westboro Baptist Church problem. She donated $1,000 for every member of the "church" that showed up (originally $44,000, but she bumped it up to $50,000) at her latest show in Kansas to a gay charity. So basically, their protest actually brought some good for once. When I heard about this, I thought it was incredibly clever and just had to share it with all of you. EDIT: I wasn't going to post a link, but the video is so funny! I love the little kids faces when all the people start cheering. Here you go!

I wonder if any of those kids will get a mind for themselves. They obviously don't enjoy it.

Oh man, I love seeing the Westoboro Baptist Church getting there comeuppance. Teehee. Lisa Lampanelli did such a good job of zinging them.
Though I once had this weird idea that some gay strippers dressed as soldiers (because WBC reportedly hates the troops for protecting a country that "promotes" homosexuality) and start flirting with them and kissing them. Then I remembered it's WBC, and no one would voluntarily touch them.

Lol. Reminds me of, well, maybe it was1, 2 or 3 years ago, the Westboro Baptist Church was using Ozzy Osborne's songs to discourage homosexuality. When Ozzy found out about this, he was PISSED. He started swearing like a sailor when he heard! Moral of the story: Don't mess with Ozzy. biggrin

That's great. A while back they blew a tire and no one in that town would change it for them. I wish that I could remember the name of the town. I love feel-good stories like that. I have a thread in my guild called "The Enemy" in reference to the enemy of all humankind, which I feel is bigotry. Every time they're active and in the news, it gets a couple of posts.

Saturdays Tierce I have a sledge hammer, that count? (Just wanted to say, your avi looks smashing by the way.) Sledge hammers just feed the trolls I am afraid. When people lash out at them or try to stop them from protesting, they sue them. They're smart trolls- but they're trolls all the same. *genteel bow* Thank you for the complement.
