Malleus Maleficarum stalked through the grasslands and glared at anything in her way. She really had to find something to amuse herself. She was bored and had been for weeks now. She strongly disliked being bored. The leopardess stops for a moment and stretches. Why was she out by herself anyway? Nobody interesting to travel with these days. She took a swipe at a weed and glared at a bird she scared off. "Fly away you coward. Be glad you are not worth my time." Malifecar narrowed her eyes and gave a another moody swat at the weed. This time the weed was cut down and she gave a satisfied snort. Perhaps it was not dead, but at least it had terrorized the creature. That was better than nothing. The leopardess was quite pleased with that, but was still bored for the moment. She needed a longer term entertainment. Malifecar found a nice high rock and leaped onto it, watching all that came or went with equal distaste. She rather wished something would come along and challenge her just for the delight of ripping into it with her claws. She was just in one of her funks, but that was fine for now. She was sure if her mood got much worse from it she would find SOMETHING to rip apart. Even if it was some tiny little bird she dissected.

 Tam sat just inside the forest shadows, his white form partially hidden by the thick undergrowth of brier and nettle, his twilight colored eyes watching the dark leopardess vent her obvious ire at the hapless weed in her wake. Fruitless really, the weed certainly wasn't going to give her the type of statsifaction she seemed to need.
Need...such a lovely word, it made his job so much easier when the feline who caught his eye needed something. Virtue and vice were the same coin, with a thin line separating the two of them. Often Tam would flip that coin and see which side the feline in question should have catered, but the male was fairly sure he could guess that the leopardess surveying the valley from her perch, needed vice not virtue.
Perfect...
Shaking out his mane, Tam stepped from the tree line, waiting calmly for her to notice him. There was no rush on his part, seduction, weather dark or light, should not be rushed..ever. Thus he could wait, and take his time.

Maleficar started grooming her fur as she watched around here. There was never a good reason to look bad after all. No matter how bored or irritated one was, one should always look one's best. She was just grooming one of her paws when the male stepped out. She did not even pause as she watched him. He was not worth an interruption of her grooming. If he had wanted her full attention sooner he should have come before she started this.
The leopardess took her time on the grooming, getting every little spot. Some spots she even went over twice, not that they needed it, it was just the way she was about it. She was nothing if not thorough on grooming. She might be a mean girl most of the time, but she was a good looking mean girl. When she finally got to the tip of her tail she stood up and gave herself a little stretch before jumping onto the ground.
Now it was time to deal with the male. Her head held high, Maleficar met the male's gaze straight on and gave him an appraising look. If he had half the brains he did looks, he might be worth speaking to. One could hope. She sat daintily and wrapped her tail around her feet. She would wait for him to speak and see if he stuck a paw or two in his own mouth or not first. One way or another she planned to get amusement of some sort out of this.

Tam was, if nothing, a patient male, and waited out her grooming, quite content to watch her as she fastidiously took care of her fur. One could learn a lot about one's prey by careful observation, even if they did not know it. Already he had summarized that she was haughty, arrogant, cruel...and he would hazard to guess, under it all, rather lonely.
Perfect...
Giving her a his own, arrogant half smile as she approached him, stopping just shy of what would be polite distance and sitting primly just inside of speaking range, Tam inclined his head to her politely, " Good afternoon, and welcome to the border of the Groundling Forest." His voice was a rich rumble, filled with all the tones of the earth, " To what do we owe the pleasure of your company?"

Maleficar regarded the male coolly. He was mostly white with a black mane and tail tuft. That was relatively agreeable, but the marking on his back leg was not so much. The purple flowers with their scrolling outlines were a tad feminine to the leopardess. She scoffed as she looked at them, but turned her scorn away as she looked up at the lion's face. She saw nothing feminine about the face she was looking into.
The male lion was big, and his face showed that arrogant half smile she was so familiar with from her own long gone family. She was not sure if she wanted to try to scratch it from his face or rub against him for the familiarity. The second idea really was not an option. Maleficar could not afford that kind of "soft" display with anyone, especially not a male she just met.
Maleficar half closed her eyes as she finished looking the lion over. Perhaps he would be good for some fun. Perhaps she would have to rip into him. There were many things that could happen with this. "An afternoon it may be, good I have yet to see. I am welcome here at this border? How nice." the leopardess pauses a moment before she considers the last question. "The company you find could be pleasant if you like, but I would have to see if you are worthy of my time."

Tam chuckled, as if he found what she had said about him being worthy of her company amusing, it was not a mocking sound, but one of camaraderie" The same is said for you lady, my time is not to be wasted either. I suppose we both will be assessing each other. A game then, with the end result either a boring afternoon, or a sensuous night."
The smile was back on his muzzle, a look of anticipation in his eyes, it fell somewhere between cruel and challenging.
" There is a meal here, behind me if you do not mind springbok, and the spring is clear and cool to drink. The invitation has been extended. It is yours to take or not."
With that, he turned and with a grace that was all predator, he lept from the rock to the ground, and disappeared beneath the trees.

Maleficar moved closer to the male to assess him a little better. His attitude seemed quite familiar. If he was like her, then perhaps he was worthy of being around her. As she got closer she could see his main and tail were actually a very deep purple. Hmm, not her favorite color, but he seemed to make it look good. The white was still rather annoying, but he would do.
"A sensuous night? I think perhaps that is an agreeable offer. A male that comes baring food is always a welcome sight, but one must wonder just what such a male is capable of." Her smile never reached her eyes as she followed after Tam. There was certainly something attractive about him, but that did not make him any less dangerous. Lions were like that, though many other creatures were like that too.
Maleficar would have to take the offered meal and see where it went. It might be a fun night, or it might be a horrible one. She was going to have to take a bit of a risk to find out. With the mood she was in, though, it was worth the risk no matter which way it went. Either way she would be able to work off some of her bad mood. As she came to their meal she had to give the male credit for a nice kill at the very least.
