 What a wonderful day the sun was shining and as he looked about he could not help but smile. The seasons were changing the breeze that blew though the tall grass smelled like amazing and exotic things. He loved the tall grass the lion inside him liked to hide and stalk prey from the grass although he woild never harm a fly he would sneak up then jump but never hurting the things around him. He was in a good mood being one step closer to Umbra it all made a huge difference in his life. Even if he was not quite accepted by her he knew she was his lifemate. Now he could roam the day again not needing to stalk her in the night he wondered if he would ever meet others in her family it must be big as he though about her sister mother and father..Had any of them had foals since that time? He wondered if he was an unknown relative to someone else living in these lands..He had not had foals but if the others had he must be at least something to them right? He would love someone to talk to and see what there views on the family were.

Unbeknownst to the lion-like stallion, he was about to get his wish.
Nearby and without a care in the world, was Dean. The little colt was a young half-brother to Umbra, but this fact currently held little interest to the young male. The only thing he was interested in right now was finding that cotton-tailed rabbit that he'd been chasing. He'd lost the small creature in the tall grass...
Without giving a single thought to what else might be lurking in the tall jungle of grass, Dean charged in playfully.

Continuing to walk along he soon found himself out of the tall grass and on the bank of a river. He looked up to see a waterfall this was a place where he had met many others before today..Would he perhaps meet someone new lurking around the area? he smiled to himself and belt down to get a drink of the nice cool water it tasted fresh and was very refreshing as he stood up once more he was surprised to see a rabbit come running out of the grass and right into the river it came right back out of course and dashed away. He wondered what could of set a rabbit off like that when he saw a foal running strait at him looking like he wanted to run him over. He quickly stepped out of the way watching this foal now the stallion who..wait were those shadows around him???

Dean was hot on the trail! So engrossed was he in his chase, that he barely even noticed the stallion as he bolted past him. However, the rabbit was faster and it seemed to disappear into thin air just as it dove into the underlying forest foliage. The colt thrust his head into the underbrush and scanned the ground for disturbances in the loam, but he was no expert tracker. His eyes caught no signs of movement and his ears couldn’t pick up the tell-tale scurry of any small animals; they’d all been scared away by his heedless crashing.
With a sigh, the colt pulled his head from the bushes and looked back at the yellow stallion. Embarrassment crept onto his face by way of a faint blush as the stallion looked at him, but he smiled curiously at the stranger. “You, uh… You didn’t happen to see where the rabbit went, did you?”

He quickly took a few steps back as a foal raced passed him the rabbit long gone by now. He saw the foal try to find the rabbit sticking his head under the bushes to see where it has gone. He knew that nothing would be out now considering all the noise the foal had made. When the foal looked at him he nodded and walked to him noticing him growing red in the face.
"The rabbit only did what it could to stay alive little one" he looks into the bushes and pulls his head out "The rabbit is long gone and it seems all other creatures have also gone silent" he walks up to the foal and looks down upon him wondering if he looked so...well small when he was a foal.

“Stay alive?” The colt was silent for a moment as he watched the dense thicket.
Deanneth looked up and the much bigger stallion and frowned a little, “But… I wasn’t going to hurt it. I just wanted to play.” The little colt looked back and forth between the stallion and the bushes a few times, his face becoming more and more distressed. “Did I scare the rabbit? Did he think I was going to hurt him?” That really hadn’t been the young foal’s intention. He lowered his head, the very picture of remorse, “I… I didn’t mean to…”

He nods at the foal seeing the confusion on his face "It is natural for small animals to run away when there is a big one chasing them even if you mean no harm" He watches the clearing now and turns to the forest knowing the rabbit had probably stopped running and was resting under the shade of the trees. "You did scare it and it did think you wanted to hurt it but things like that cannot be helped little one" he looks back and smiles "It is only natures way it was not your intention to hurt the rabbit but it did not know so it ran"

Dean turned remorseful eyes back on the forest and the rabbit that lay hidden somewhere within. Tiny plum ears swiveled forward and he lifted his head to call out to the creature at the top of his lungs, “I’m sorry, rabbit! I didn’t mean to scare you!”
The only response the little colt received was the awkward silence of the forest for a split second, before the birds and squirrels overhead burst into an indignant cacophony, angry at being disturbed. The rest of the forest soon followed suit and before long, the forest was back to making it’s normal, naturey sounds. Feeling that since he’d apologized, everything had been set right, the little, painted colt turned curious eyes to the larger male. A smile curved the colt’s lips, “Hello, I’m Dean! Who are you?” His tail flickered expectantly.
