Lilac wasn't entirely sure why she had convinced herself this was a good idea - well no she knew why, she just didn't want to admit it to herself. She was a coward..always had been always would be..but she didn't want to be..she wanted to help, she wanted to be brave and strong and do good deeds to help the land, like the wolves in all the stories she had heard about.

She just didn't know how to - well what better place to learn she had told herself then a pack of Knightly like wolves, even their name sounded good and just 'Order of the Rose'. Surely if anyone could help her become what she really wanted to be it would be them...right? It had sounded like a good idea when he left home but now as she drew closer to the pack lands she was, as always, starting to have second thoughts about the whole idea. Of course it was far to late to turn back now, that would mean going back the way he had come and that had been a harrowing journey in and of itself. One she wasn't keen to repeat..no the only thing to do would be to go forward and so with only a little bit of hesitation she marched over the pack boundary.

Chantily was just a little bit irate..and a little bit amused. Fantasia had decided to go off and 'expand' their boarders, Chantily had encouraged him to wait until she could join him - he was their Alpha and shouldn't be wandering about planting seeds without someone to watch his back while he did so - but the wiley wolf had slipped off when she wasn't looking and he'd gotten quite good at concealing his trail as well.

Annoying and amusing all at the same time. When she hadn't been able to locate Fantasia right off the bat Chantily had gone back and gathered up Dagonet. Two pairs of eyes were better then one. So fair thier efforts had proven fruitless, they had checked two sides of the boarder and found not a pawprint nor hair anywhere...they were coming upon the third now.

As they trotted through the forest however it was not the tan hide of Fantasia she saw ahead of her..but an unknown purple one, flicking an ear at Dagonet she indicated that he should approach and speak with her while she went around to come up from behind. Such precautions were not always necessary but Fantasia had seemed convinced lately that something was going to happen soon and Chantily was adamant that it wouldn't happen on her watch.

Dagonet had asked no questions when Chantily had approached him to help look for Fantasia after he had given her the slip earlier. If their Alpha was out of sight then who knows what possible dangers could be encountered, besides what kind of a future Knight would he be if he didn't help look for his Alpha or attempt to protect the pack he was part of now. Well clearly that would make him a very poor Knight. Well one thing was for certain with all this searching, that Fantasia was excellent at covering his tracks...or perhaps he had gone off in a direction they had not checked yet.

Spotting the purple hide about the same time that Chantily did Dagonet gave his head a nod, acknowledging the pale wolfess' plan before padding forward, allowing Chantily to slip away from him and loop around the stranger. As he got closer to the stranger he could more clearly see her hide that held various shades of purple on it and her pale blue eyes. He changed his course slightly to intersect her and then brought his paws to a stop. "Greetings." He said to her now that they were close enough to speak. "May I help you with something stranger?" Since there was no sign of immediate danger from the female he decided it would be best for himself and the pack to simply see what she wanted, she could just be lost after all.

Lilac or all her wariness was not accustomed to keeping an eye out for dangerous wolves in the forest and so she didn't see the arrival of the pale wolf until he spoke to her - no she'd been paying far to much attention to a strange vine that seemed determined to trip her. Of course when he spoke she backpedaled in shock and was indeed tripped by the blasted vine. Wretched piece of vegetation she mentally cursed the plant while she gained her feet.

At least the wolf did not seem to be dangerous or out to cause trouble she soothed herself, in fact his words seemed incredibly polite considering she was trespassing. "Hello" She spoke in a sheepish voice a she shook the last bit of vine off her paw. "I'm Lilac" She introduced herself because continuing to make him call her stranger was a bit odd. "I..I heard that there was a pack here that might be able to help me" she ventured after a brief hesitation.

Chantily nearly sighed out loud as the strange wolf was startled and then fell over herself. Her timid voice, stance and words were enough to convince Chantily that she probably wasn't a very large threat - unless she was a good actor Chantily didn't think this particular wolf could hurt a fly.

Still it was a good test for Dagonet, Chantily had yet to see how the other wolf fared against an unexpected event such as this and so rather then reveal herself and help him out she hunkered down in her spot to wait and watch and see what he did. It was important this type of experience and while she had heard good things about her fellow tan and white wolf, it was one thing to be told something and another to see it for yourself.

As the purple femme startled, steps back and tripped falling over Dagonet took a step forward worried that she might have hurt herself on that vine. "Are you alright?" He asked and then watched as she rid her paw of the vine that had tripped her, at least she seemed to be okay. There was no sign of Chantily but that did not concern him, she may be watching or looking to make sure the female was alone before approaching. One could never be certain when a decoy wolf could be used in order to allow others to sneak into the lands. When she introduced herself Dagonet smiled lightly. Lilac, just like the flower, how interesting.

"It is good to meet you Lilac, I am Dagonet." So she was looking for a pack, that sounded similar to when he had arrived looking for this pack that an old wolf had mentioned to him. "There is indeed a pack here." While she didn't specify which pack she was looking for theirs was the only one in this immediate area, and the nearest pack to them was quite a distance away. "I am a part of that pack, the Order of The Rose. How may I help you?"

Dagonet was a bit of a weird name , though Lilac thought it sounded a bit familiar too - perhaps she had heard it in a story somewhere? It had an old sound to it that would be consistent with that sort of origin though she was far to shy to actually ask the wolf if that were the case.

She was pleased to hear he was apart of the pack she was looking for though she had always imagined the wolves of this pack would be large and foreboding - polie certainly, Knights were always polite - but they were generally a bit..intimidating as well and the wolf before her was hardly imposing. He was in fact quite approachable and perhaps that was why she wasn't feeling quite to scared when she spoke with him. that didn't of course keep her from stuttering. "I-I Want to be a K-knight" She told him, ducking her head to look at the ground and waiting for him to laugh at her like everyone in her old pack had.

Chantily's ears pricked as the purple wolf asked after the pack and Dagonet answered, so far everything seemed to be going well enough though the timid wolfs desire to become a knight was a bit..well off..she didn't look the type to desire such things, what with the way she ducked her head and spoke so quietly.

Still, Chantily supposed that looks could be deceiving and perhaps there was more to this purple wolf then met the eye. She'd had her doubts about Dagonet when he firt arrived she reminded herself and he was turning out just fine, perhaps this wolf would be much the same. In any case she remained where she was to see how Dagonet continued to handle himself.

Dagonet's ears perked forward at Lilac's words. Any other wolf, if not a part of this pack at least, would have likely laughed in her face. Not all packs would ever consider a female to become a knight, and yet here the genders were equal and each was allowed to play any role they wished, as long as they were capable of course. A smile crossed his maw, but not one of mockery but of acceptance of her words. "A knight is a grand position to hold. I myself am currently training to become a knight. May I ask you what has made you wish for such a role?" He didn't ask because he wanted to mock her, but was curious as to what drove her to want to hold such an important and challenging title.

While there was still no sign of Chantily anywhere Dagonet just continued on as if he had been alone when he had first spotted the female. He wouldn't always have someone with him while doing border patrols and other duties so why should he rely on her presence to get through this. If it wasn't today then some other day perhaps he would run into this very same situation and he couldn't balk at the first test of it. And then as a bit of an after thought he asked. "Have you traveled far to get here?" He knew the pack was fairly far away from any others but the lands of Telk expanded well beyond that as well. He himself had traveled a great distance to eventually get here.

Lilac waited for what seemed like quite a while for the other wolf to start laughing at her - when the sounds didn't come however she chanced a glance up at him...he didn't look like he was going to laugh at her at all, he was smiling it was rue but it wasn't a look of mockery and that was entirely new to Lilac. Maybe this had been a good idea after all.

"Well...I want to help other wolves, wolves like..me, wolves that everyone makes fun of or thinks of as an easy target - I'm tired of being an easy target all the time" She told Dagonet earnestly and for the first time she didn't stutter while talking to him because she had already though long and hard about those words, before she had even left to come to the pack really and she believed in them.

"A -a ways" She continued on in a bit of a shier voice "My old pack lived near the sea" she confessed, which meant that she had indeed traveled a goodly distance,

The females words made Chantily perk her ears a bit, they sounded truthful and the reason was a good one - the other wolf even seemed a bit more confident when she said them which was a good sign. Perhaps she would find a way into the warrior ranks...with lots of training and work of course, perhaps with the confidence training inspired Lilac would come out of her shell a little bit.

Of course without Fantasia around to introduce her too Chantily couldn't give the purple wolf anything more then permission to stay on the lands - her rank would have to be decided later on when he returned. Of course Dagonet likely knew that as well but Chantily decided now was a good time to introduce herself - however she didn't want to startle the new wolf by coming up from behind so she backtracked through the woods a bit and walked back up the trail as though she had followed Dagonet out from the packlands. "Found a new wolf Dagonet?" She asked him as she drew close.

Nodding at her words Dagonet could appreciate why she had chose to wish to become a knight. He had not been that different really, he had wished to prove himself to others and not follow his birth packs lazy ways. "Well, you have come to the right place then. Here the wolves are open to most ideas and while it may require some work most are able to achieve the goals that have been set before them." She had come from the sea, my that was quite the journey, even he had not traveled that far. "A long journey indeed, but you are here now and the first steps on your new path can begin soon."

Ears swiveled as he heard the approach of another, as he turned his head he saw Chantily coming up from behind him. Had she been watching this whole time? Well if she had then she had, he wouldn't say anything about this. "Indeed I have. This is Lilac, she had traveled her with wishes to become a Knight." His eyes returned to Lilac. "Lilac allow me to introduce you to Chantily, Marshall of the Order of the Rose."

Lilac's eyes widened a bit at the approach of another wolf - but she stood her ground other then ducking her head a little bit, the new wolf looked quite a lot like Dagonet really - at least color wise though she had a far more intimidating presence. Of course as Dagonet introduced her by rank Lilac could only assume this meant she was fairly high up in the pack. "Pleasure to meet you Marshal Chantily" Lilac told the other wolf with a respectful nod of her head.

She didn't see the point of introducing herself any further then Dagonet already had, nor of repeating the reason she had come here in the first place. Instead she answered Dagonet's remark "A long trip..but one I hope shall turn out to be worth it"

Chantily let her gaze sweep over the purple wolf, though she had already observed her from her vantage point earlier - the same as she already knew why she was here. Still to keep such things from being known by the purple wolf she nodded slowly. "Welcome then to the lands of the Order...to become a Knight is a hard goal to set, but one worthwhile in the end" She shared sincerely before looking to Dagonet.

"If you will take her back to the central pack lands, find her a den and a meal if she has need and I will fetch Fantasia so that he might approve her desire to stay permanently" she had hoped of course to have Dagonet's help in searching for Fantasia..but as this new wolf had arrived the situation had changed - it was fine, Dag would see to the new wolf while she went on with their original plans.

Dagonet nodded once more. "I sure that it will be in time." He told Lilac and then turned his attention back to Chantily. "Of course. If you need anything else I will be at the dens." He told the pale wolfess, and he hoped that she would be able to find Fantasia without much trouble for after all she had fetched him to help her do just that not long ago. He dipped his head to Chantily and then looked towards Lilac. "If you would follow me I'll show you the way." Turning Dagonet padded off, ensuring that Lilac was following, there would likely be a fresh kill for her to eat from if she so desired and could rest as well until Fantasia and Chantily made their way to the dens.
