The thoughts of his sister rebelling against him boiled Kimeti's blood. How long he had sat on such news and did nothing in hopes that his sister would come forward and try to negate such allegations but no such thing occured. In fact, he had not even seen his sister since Teleka blurted out the plans being made against him. Well, the King could no longer wait for his sister to come to him, he would go to her and silence her for good should it come down to it.
Padding across the hot sands the bulking male paid little heed to the setting sun as it's red colors cascaded across the once pure azure sky. No, his attention was focused purely on the rolling dunes of the desert when he knew his sister lurked. Blazing golden eyes traced every dune for any sign of his sister but to no avail. Anger rising inside of him he roared his sisters name, rage seeping through. "KWANA!"

Surprisingly, Kwana was only a short distance away when her brother's roar echoed out over the sands, halting her dead in her tracks. Desert nights were freezing in comparison to the day, and the rays of the setting sun beckoned her home, home to the warmth and safety of the pride's caves.
However, the brimming anger in her brother's tone tugged at her, warning her away despite his summons. For perhaps the first time in her life, Kwana felt a quiver of fear run down her spine.
Almost immediately the thought was brushed aside, and the proud 'queen' returned, stance straightening as she resumed her steps towards the caves. Sauntering from around a dune, she fixed the King with a steely stare, quirking a brow in a bored manner. "You called, Kimeti?"

The sight of his sister cresting a dune caused the King to bare his yellowing fangs. "Kwana! I have heard some interesting news about you." He moved towards her. "I'd hate to believe they're true but I have little doubt in my mind that I was not lied to."
Golden eyes pierced into Kwana's, daring the lioness to retort or make any move as he circled around her once as if he were stalking his prey. "Have you or have you not been planning an uprising against me!?" He spoke as he moved close to her face, teeth bared and breath heavy as his boiling blood grew steadily hotter.
The King cared little for whom witnessed this event. If he had his booming voice would have been kept to a minimal, but the King had little doubt that he couldn't handle his sister and he was not about to let her turn his pride against him. Not after all the work he had done to get the pride back on its paws.

The lioness did not immediately reply, but held her ground, standing still and calm as her brother circled. Her stance was a tad defiant, straight and unmoving, chin lifted to meet the King's eyes without flinching--every inch the Queen she believed herself to be.
If his words sruck her as a surprise, she gave no indication, icy blue eyes holding his stare for a brief moment before she smiled, the look soon growing to a challenging grin. "Of course I have, Kimeti. I'm surprised you had not learned of it sooner."
It was not like Kwana to deny an accusation, providing it was a correct one, anyway. Regardless of consequences, she would speak true, and, hopefully, stun Kimeti into blundering up. "The pride is mine by right, Kimeti, regardless of our mother's choice. I will rule as Queen."

The slave lioness stirred, her pale body uncurling from where she had been sleeping and after a moment's confusion she remembered where she was and who that loud voice belonged to. The huge red lion had brougth her here and enslaved her upon entering the pride, it was this memory that caused her to call out mournfully, the sound she had made when lost from her mother as a cub. She halted the wail as she heard the raised voices and her ears pricked up to listen. Kimeti...so the lions name was Kimeti...and he was the King? A twinge of pride clung at her as she realised she had been selected as one of his own personal servants and in the darkness there was that slither of information to keep her going. She had to have something going for her if that was the case, right?
She stood up on shaky limbs, staggering sideways as she moved into the rays of the sun, her juvenile form already showing signs of adolesence. Where she had been a rather podgy and tiny cub she was now a slender, petite and rather feminine looking thing; as delicate as the petals of a flower. Her curioisty and habit of falling into daydreams showed in her demeanour but the carefree days of her youth were gone. She was a slave now whether she liked it or not and her mother was no longer here to bail her out.
She had gotten herself into this and now she would get herself out.
The only way she could think of getting into the firekin pride good books was of course to be a loyal and hardworking servant for the King. He was the ruler after all and being on his good side would mean that perhaps she'd be able to work her way up and out of slavery? Yes she was naive, but the prospect of a promotion was all she could cling onto. False hope...yes, it was all she had.
However, upon setting eyes on the quarrelling pair of crimson siblings she felt a terrible fear swell within her. The lioness looked just as menacing and powerful as Lord Kimeti and she knew that they would not go easy on her. She'd have to be careful, very careful or she'd be struck with a deadly swipe of a clawed paw. Her body shuddered at the thought of pain never having felt it before. It stunned her into a state of complete fear and then after a moment she trotted forward on shaky legs, wavering sideways before coming to stand just a few meters behind Kimeti. She didn't want to get too close in case she provoked an attack, but she made sure to keep herself low, head and tail well down as she regarded them both through slate-blue eyes.
She wanted to speak.
She said nothing.

Mpeka meanwhile had been laying on a rock as usual, after a short run, it was good to relax, especially when the soft ray's of sun where just setting for the night.
However as the sound of Kimeti's voice shouting the name of his sister, she lifted her dark hued head, monotone, black and white striped tail tuft swishing back and forth over the rock with a soft sweeping noise.
This couldn't be good, not at all.
The lioness smoothly stood up, she could sleep later, right now it seemed the pride was going to have a big meeting on what should be done. She gently trotted down the rock, seeing the two crimson sibling's before she saw her own, only to quickly move over to her brother's side, ear's flattened. "Teleka.." She whispered. "What is going on?"

Teleka looked at his sister with a clueless look on his face. He sat up a little and shook his mane, "Maybe this is it, maybe Kwana and Kimeti are actually going to have a head on attack. I hope you know who you are going to stand with sis, this might get ugly!" He had no idea what was going to happen, but both seemed as stubborn as each other.

Oh how wished to just grab Kwana and kill her on the spot. Her blatant uprising against him would certainly give the King enough reason to spill her blood all over the golden sand. With mother gone he could easily do that with little worry of feeling any remorse about his sisters death. Besides, he had many other sisters, it wouldn't hurt to just loose one, right?
"The pride is MINE." He growled out. "You mayhave been first born but I was seen as the worthy one to ascend to the throne. After our brothers dissapearance I was the one trained to take over when father died and I have. You, dear sister, are only a huntress and will always be a huntress, nothing more."

The winds of change were upon the lands, speaking out to all who were fortunate enough to catch sight of the happenings. At last, the day was to come where brother and sister would sort everything out, either with words, or by blood. Nuri and Chomo had finally made it to the lands just in time to see what was happening with the broken pride. With two siblings face to face, two others watching with keen eyes, and a slave settled in the shadows, it was a sight indeed.
"Chomo..." Nuri spoke softly to her companion, her dark eyes searching as they crossed a high dune, looking down upon the King and Queen, and she stilled her tracks as the winds brushed her short fur, "...We seem to have run upon the whole pride...in all its glory..." She said the last part with a hint of sarcasim as she looked to each face, shaking her head a moment later and settling to lift her paw a moment and shaking off the sand.
It would be intresting to see just what Kwana would do, considering Nuri knew of her motives from the few nights prior, and later they would need to follow whoever came victorous, even if it is not the Queen she had hoped for.
When Kimeti finally spoke up, Nuri felt her ears fall slightly, and she sent a worried glance to Chomo. It seemed as if Kwana had much more of a fight to face than what she let on.

As the sounds of others fighting caught Kirjava's attention, crimson eyes widen slightly as she spotted more lions crowded around a specific area. As she got closer, she noticed they all sported some variation of red on their coats, others were lighter and some were darker. As she drew near, the last few bits she had caught.
There must be a fight going on, she concluded to herself silently and hung a little ways back from the group. She still wasn't accepted like she had originally thought and perhaps that had to do with what the King had called her, a slave. Sitting down on the sand, she was quiet while watching the scene with little interest. Her mind drifted off slightly as she wondered what she could do.

Gah, why had he decided to follow this lioness and lion couple again...? Oh yeah, to find out who Finar-si was >>. Damn it, couldn't she just say who it might be?! That way, he could go...eh actually nowhere. This place could prove adventurous maybe? His eyes gazed around. Wow, so many lions of that blood crimson pelt. It was scary, like they were all related or something.
He snorted. Wait, there was one with that honeyish color one he seen on Rehani. His ear flickered towards Nuri as she spoke to Chomo, popping in to speak. "This is all the pride's glory?" He asked, rather sarcastically. "I'm afraid to see what it's like normally then." He reply remained in the sarcastic manner.

The audience went unnoticed to Kwana, attention fixed entirely upon her brother. Firekin King or not, he was, and would always be, her younger sibling. And Kwana would treat him as such, regardless of whatever followed their confrontation. Kimeti was but a pompous child, head swollen by his mother's praises and ascention to the throne. Her throne.
She would personally see to it that his ego was deflated.
However, with his words, it was Kwana's turn to snarl, fangs bared in a menacing scowl. "Worthy?!" she spat, tail lashing. "You have done nothing to warrant the title of King. You hold the position only because you are male, and because our mother had the arrogance to set you above me. You are not even the eldest male, Kimeti, but the second best, the discarded cub. You were never meant to be King."
She paused, voice lowering to a light hiss as icy eyes narrowed, fixed on those of her sibling. "You will step down."

Chomo felt the odd restlessness in the sands as he and Nuri made their way towards the site of conflict. Despite everything, he felt a slight thrill at the idea of meeting other Firekin males, as a breed they were some of the top fighters in the lands, massive and formidable. Therefore it was to his great surprise that he saw the showdown on the sands below him and Nuri. It looked severe and of great importance, something which bugged Chomo who liked to know exactly what was going on.
At first he was unable to reply to Nuri, he merely nodded, then somehow me managed to muster "At least something is happening out here, though I don't like the chances of the lioness, apparently things out here are as unfair as they always were." He shook his head, simultaneously showing disapproval and moving his mane out of the way "But I can't really comment, I've been gone much too long, too many of the lions below are strangers to me."
Grinning at their "stalker" Chomo stated "You might want to hold your tongue around here, I won't harm you but some of these others don't take kindly to lions bad mouthing the pride and might want to remove it for you." however, his brief expression said it all, he didn't think too highly of the current state of the pride either.
He caught Nuri's worried glance and nodded mutely, his ember gaze sombre, this could be rough indeed.

The audience was perfect. Now they would learn why he, Kimeti, was King of hte Firekin and his sister nothing more than a lady of royalty. Blazing eyes did not leave the steely cool of his sisters blue orbs. This was the last stand and he would come out on top, not Kwana.
"Kavuasi is dead to the pride! _I_ I am King and it matters not who was suppose to hold the title. Males are the rightful heirs to the thrones not females as you should well know sister. I could have taken the highest ranking with or without mother. Surely you realize that." He smirked but her lowered voice cause a rumble in his chest as he growled audibly.
"You will have to make me sister." Claws dug into the sand as he awaited his sisters first move. As much as he wished to just lunge he knew better. Let HER start the fight, then her pride would be equally shamed when he runs her out of the pride for good...or kills her.
