Vitamin Crack

PostPosted: Fri May 20, 2011 3:56 am

I used Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E. I've used it twice a day for a week now, once after I shower in the morning and once after school.

One week on, regarding my stretch marks, I've seen a noticeable improvement.

My stretch marks used to be really long and reddish pink, and what I'm noticing now is that the ends are fading. So whilst the darkest middle bit remains, the ends that were paler have more or less disappeared. The darker middle bits seem to be fading slightly as well, into a more purple-grey shade.

Though perhaps what's most surprising is what it's done for my really old stretch marks. I think these marks were from when I was 11/12, so about 6 or 7 years ago. They were just white scars before I put the cream on. After I started applying the cream, they don't seem as white as before and more just blended into my skin tone. It used to be that you could spot the stretch marks just looking at it from afar, but now you have to get really close up and physically pull at the skin in order to see that they were there.

Obviously I don't know if this is going to work for everyone. But I bought this because it was cheap enough that it wouldn't be a complete disaster if it didn't work (under £5). So yeah, I'm really surprised at the results!

Also I took some before pics of my stretch marks. I will post some after pics when I get around to it for comparison.

Dont trust the hype. Time does the same exact thing to stretch marks. They never stay that noticeable. If they are keloided my doctor recommended bio oil. Though I still haven't noticed a change.

Oh I know, but they were dark and red for a few months prior to using the cream. Then within a week, they start fading? And I mean, the old stretch marks, like I said, have been like that for years.

To be fair, it could be the massaging motion. But given that this bottle was comparable in price to other moisturisers like Vaseline, then it seems like a great choice given that it also smells amazing and keeps my skin really soft.

I'll give that stuff a try if I can find it in stores. But the other day I bought another brand of lotion that also contains cocoa butter and vitamin e oil, and I'm going to see if it does anything.

My boyfriend's mom uses it, and she has for ages. I just use it as a lotion, but it's nice to see that it's working on your stretch marks. I should rub some on Anjel's. :3

I heard raw shea butter and cocoa butter work wonders for stretch marks..

I also never heard of a product working so fast, maybe you hit the gold mine with that. I say keep using and see what happens further down the road.
