I got this insanely random idea in my head recently, what would happen if there was a third world war and Keitaro enlisted? I know it must sound nuts but I seriously have written a whole story in my head about it! Wanna hear it?
The story starts out in China, a country long since thrown into overpopulation. In recent years there have been rumors of the Chinese mafia gaining influence on the government. To top it off, Chinese Prime Minister Yi has passed away following a stroke. His death starts a large power struggle for control of the Chinese People's Republic. One of the top contenders is Chon Ling, a man who's plans are to restore China to it's former glory by reducing the overpopulation in non-violent ways, dealing with the Triads and giving jobs and better education to the orphans to have them build more homes and other structures when they've grown. His campaign is accepted and his party assumes control of the government. Little do the people realize that this is just a plot to gain their trust and draft the large population into the army to take what he believes is rightfully China's. The first strike can not be done officially, so Ling hires a Triad bomb squad to destroy property owned by Chinese companies in the country he despises, which will set off his agenda from there. Ironically the country he despises years earlier used a similar technique to attack Manchuria. The country... Japan!

"Ready to go, then?" a woman with both her eyes closed, creating a fox- like appearance, asked. "Yeah yeah, okay. It's just you never know what can happen when you're changing and someone 'accidentally' removes the board that covers the hole in your floor." Another woman replied "For once I'm actually glad Keitaro walked in on me. Otherwise I'd still be stuck!" These two women who had been best friends for as long as they could remember both laughed at the joke. The fox-eyed one was named Konno Mitsune and today her favorite event of the year was about to take place, the Tenth Annual Sake fair at the shopping complex in town. Although the second woman, Narusegawa Naru, was going to the mall to do some shopping, it would be wise to predict that both were going to get quite plastered. "We're going to the fair, see you all later!" they both called out to which they recieved multiple "Bye, bye!" responses.

Later, when they reached the mall, Kitsune and Naru just stood for a second and took in the scenery. Tents everywhere, long wooden tables with baristas pouring Sake to overflowing as tradition demands. But the sight that caught Naru's eye before anything else was a storefront with a cute miniskirt and spaghetti strap top on display. "We'll split up, I'm going to check out the stores and meet you at the table in... Say, 30 minutes?" Kitsune nodded and made her way through a large crowd leading to the tables. Naru had no trouble getting to the store which was almost empty except for a few sobered customers, the cashiers and a man in a delivery man uniform. The delivery man walked in and placed the package on the front counter and the cashier signed for it. Naru found the clothes on display and, after trying them on and having a one-woman debate with herself, decided to buy them. She walked up to the counter and paid for it, glancing at her watch. She had reached the thirty minute mark, so she stepped outside and decided to survey the chaos created by her undoubtedly drunken friend. A voice called out behind her "Hey honey, you like what you see?" she spun around and came face to face with the delivery man, who was beckoning her toward him and making kissing sounds. Naru's eye twitched and she turned red with anger. "DIE, YOU PERVERTED MAGGOT!!" She yelled charging him with her fists locked and ready to strike. She was running very fast toward him, but when he slyly moved aside at the last minute she bounced off the window display and landed on her butt. "See you later, Queen Honeybee!" the deliveryman yelled looking at his watch and running as fast as he could down the street. "I'll catch you soon, to me you're a sitting duck!" Naru yelled, quickly picking herself up...

If this were the anime version the next few seconds would move in slow motion. The second that Naru got to her feet she was blown backwards into the street by a sudden unexplainable burst of energy. The entire storefront blew to smithereens sending shards of glass shooting across the narrow, packed street. It embedded itself in the bodies of the hundreds of unsuspecting civilians, which included Naru and Kitsune who were on the ground with most of the other civilians who were too hurt or drunk to flee. Naru coughed, her eyes watering, her arms and legs full of glass. "K-*cough*Kitsune?" she managed to wheeze before pulling her cell phone out and losing conciousness. Another injured bystander saw her phone, limped over and called the police who arrived in minutes with many ambulances.
Meanwhile, back at the house...
Kaolla Su was up to her usual no-good turtle catching nonsense, Mutsumi was slicing melons so fast that she almost ate one with the knife still in it, Motoko was meditating, and Keitaro was playing solitare in front of the TV. Suddenly the screen changed and switched to the scene at the mall. He glanced up at the TV and thought it might be a show on TV until he saw the words 'live' and 'storefronts bombed, over 100 wounded'. He turned up the volume and stared in too much disbelief to talk. Shinobu casually strolled in and sat next to him "What's happening?" she asked, before being surprised by the image of two familiar closed eyes on the screen. "Oh no. I just remembered they were there." she cried, recognizing Kitsune and spontaneously hugging Keitaro with tears in her eyes...

(Well like I said, it's straight from my mind and I play Medal of Honor a lot sweatdrop . But the next part should please you biggrin .)
In a short time Keitaro and Shinobu had arrived at the hospital. Haruka, who apparently had already heard, was just outside of Kitsune and Naru's room. She held her finger over her mouth when they came rushing up to the door "Shh, try and be quiet. The doctors got the glass out of both of them and Naru only suffered a broken arm and some bruises." Haruka whispered opening the door "They're awake now and they'll be very glad to see you." Keitaro nodded at Haruka and walked as silently as he could. "Hey, it's me." He whispered looking around the room. The curtains divided his views of the beds "Kitsune? Naru? Are you two oka-AAH!!" he yelled when he saw the nurse changing Naru's gowns, exposing her breasts. He whipped around and saw another nurse changing Kitsune's with the same effect. Keitaro covered his eyes, not because he wanted to prove he wasn't peeping but because he didn't want to see what Naru had in store for him. "WHY YOU!" Naru yelled using her good arm to throw a bottle of apple juice at his head with such force that he backflipped onto the ground, face-down. Now on the ground, he rubbed his skull with a surprisingly wide smile. "That's the girl we know and love." he strained, keeping his eyes closed, standing up and turning around. "But didn't you feel that? Are you okay?" Kitsune's nurse asked. "What him? Oh he's fine." Kitsune said with one eye open and a smile on her face "This happens all the time wink ."

After picking himself up and confirming twice that their gowns were back on, Keitaro walked up to Naru and sat on her bedside. After a bit of an awkward silence she spoke "I'm sorry about the bottle to the head. I mean, I had just woken up and that nurse was being pushy and-" Keitaro just held up his hand "I know Naru, it's okay. What's important is that you aren't too damaged to hold up your old routines. In fact from what I hear about the bombing, you're lucky to be breathing." Naru thought back and remembered "Bombing.. That perverted deliveryman.. He lit up the store, didn't he? I" Keitaro looked at her surprised, not knowing about her confrontation with Mister In-My-Pants Express. "Well the investigators are pretty stumped at this point, thinking maybe Yakuza." Keitaro said "You should tell them what you remember if you really think it could have been him." To this Naru laid back and balled a fist with her good hand. "Nah... Once my other arm heals I'm going to find him and torture him and disembowel him and set them on fire and-!" Keitaro cut her off "OKAY, no more sugar for you for a while." He said this very quickly noticing that Shinobu was listening. When visiting hours were over late in the evening, Shinobu and Keitaro went back to Hinata, where Aunt Haruka had informed the rest of the tenants of the situation. Almost everyone was asleep by this time, except Motoko who was locked in prayer in her room and Haruka who was standing in the entryway. "Keitaro... I have to talk to you." she whispered softly before tapping her wristwatch which read 9:55 "You best be off to bed Shinobu." Shinobu quickly bowed her head and walked toward her room. Keitaro closed the front door and turned around to face Haruka. "What is it Aunt Haruka?" he whispered, trying to understand the look on her face. "Is everything all right?" Haruka shook her head "Um, no... No it's not."

It was 10:15 PM and Keitaro was sitting on the staircase next to Haruka who had just finished telling him what she saw on TV before he came home "What do you mean they're blaming it on Japan?" Keitaro yelled in outrage "SHH! Yes, I know. Storefronts blown up, Japanese employees killed, who do they blame? Japan." Haruka said rolling a smoke.
"But they are trying to ease the tension, the government I mean?" Keitaro was sounding somewhat worried.
"They've been at it all day, but that obnoxious b*****d of a minister, uh..."
"Chon Ling?"
"Yeah, him. He keeps insisting that Japan isn't taking enough care of their crime rates and at one point accused the Japanese minister of conspiring against China with the help of the Yakuza." Haruka grumbled putting a match to her cigarette.
"Well I'm going to sleep, good night Aunt Haruka." Keitaro said patting her shoulder and walking to his room.

i think its little too serious...there needs to be more perverted coincidences, more romantic spots, and more keitaro-like pain...otherwise it wouldnt really be a love hina idea...but thats just me...

Well that's okay, because the good, clean (and not-so-clean) Hina fun is in the next few parts of the story, then after a while I'll get back onto the WW storyline. (WARNING, spoiler in white!)
That's because right now Keitaro is just remembering all of this. In present time he's already in the war and he has a son who is wrestling with whether to enlist or not.

The next morning Keitaro awoke to a surprisingly rather normal morning in Hinata House. Sun shining, birds chirping, loud noises coming from Su's room as she concocted her latest machine. "Ahh, now this is the kind of morning I've been looking for." Keitaro said, emerging from undercover of his bed sheets. There was something very strange though, very strange indeed. Almost as if Keitaro sensed something in the air around him. This uneasy feeling began to surround him and probe at his body. He could feel it, crawling from his shoulders, along his neck, right up to the top of his head. Suddenly his door swung open, Keitaro jerked his head toward the sound it made. There was Motoko, standing with an unsheathed katana blade and looking right at Keitaro. "THERE YOU ARE! Don't move, you worthless insect..." She said slowly walking toward him, the madness in her eyes widening more and more with every step. "Motoko, what are you doing? You're scaring me." Keitaro said backing up one step "And why do you have that sword pointed at me? It's too early in the morning for me to have done anything, heh heh... Right?" Motoko didn't seem to be listening, she kept walking toward Keitaro with the tip of the blade gleaming in the sunlight coming through the window. Then she suddenly stopped... "Whew, I really thought you WERE going to try to castrate me again." Keitaro said turning his head to the side for a second. "So how's your morn-" "HYAAAAH!" Motoko swung the blade at his head. Keitaro was frozen in fear as the blade flew like a bullet toward him. Keitaro closed his eyes as he felt the cold steel of the katana graze his head. "....... Wh-wha?" Keitaro opened his eyes and saw Motoko looking at the ground. "Good.." She whispered, looking down "That finishes it." Keitaro looked down and after looking closely at a small object on the ground noticed half of a praying mantis. His eyes widened as he moved his hand to the top of his head. After feeling around a bit he found the other half of the praying mantis. Then he removed his hand from the mantis torso, felt around it and promptly fainted. Motoko suddenly became re-alert "Careful you idiot! I need that piece intact!"

Keitaro remained in his fainted state for about 2 hours before a newly hotspring bathed and quite bored Su walked in and found him. "Wake up, sleepyhead, play with me!" She said nudging him in the ribs, getting no response "OHHHH pleasepleaseplease?!" She started nudging him faster and faster repeating 'Pleaseplease!' until suddenly his eyes opened like window blinds! He let out a loud "HAA!" springing upward and banging his head on her's. Keitaro hyperventalated for a few seconds then calmed down and breathed normally "My whole life flashed before my eyes......." He said noticing Su ".....And it was kind of morbid the way I kept getting all those instant replays of the times I got shoved into Naru's chest. The one at the cherry blossom festival always went into slow-mo when I started going airborne." Su blinked and rubbed her head. At first she wore a blank stare, then her mood changed and she smiled at him "What about the time she caught you in her clothes 4laugh ?" Keitaro rolled his eyes "That was Sarah's fault, I wasn't going through Naru's things..." Keitaro put his hand over his face "And that one had music playing in the background." Kaolla laughed and took Keitaro by the hand "C'mon, come play with me." she said jumping up and down "I'm sooohohoho booored!" Keitaro got to his feet. "All right, okay okay. Just let me put some pants on or something whee ." Keitaro said pushing her out the door and shutting it. "And maybe something for my head sweatdrop ..." he thought.
