All popular rap is about sex drugs and violence, but there's good rap out there. Have you ever heard of christian hip-hop? It's actually really really good because you can appriciate the music form and not have to hate the lyrics.
I've only heard 4 country songs I could stand. Alot of country is just about how they were in love when they were young, impregnated their girlfriend, and now they live a hard life. Country is usually just depressing.

for me, it's like an entirly different culture that I'm just not a part of. I don't hate but I'm not a part of. I see a lot of people who define themselfs by the music they listion to. Although with country I don't like the "twang". Just can't stand that twang stressed

rap, to me, is too over rated now...it's dealing with the same crap that everyone's heard about already. I like only a bit of it, but it needs more to it than just money and fame....maybe there should be rappers that put focus on other stuff like...ummm...oh idunno...REAL LIFE??!! stare

I live in a very small town and our form of entertainment is dances at school or the grange hall. I'm dam good at square dancing but I can also dance to good rap. I do not like rapp that sounds like someone is sawing their toungs off while they are screaming. If the rapp has a smooth beat and a bit of a toon behind it this is good. I do not like whinney country music but I do like the oldies but goodies which are a form of country and rock. Man! What ever...................... xd

It's not that I hate different types of music, it's just that they aren't within my preference.
Country is like indian tribal drums to me. After a while, it all starts sounding the same to me and I don't want to listen to it anymore.
Music preference is all about what holds the individual's attention.

I don't know. I think it's really about where and how you were raised. For example, I live in L.A. Everyone heart 's rap. If you listen to rock, county, etc. they're going to think you're weird. Rockers usually hang out in little groups. 3nodding
