. 06.04.11 . - Lulz writing solo. A quick and dirty and I very much enjoyed it. It feels particularly "real".

I have various ideas that bubble and froth within my head. Sometimes they can be quite elusive.

I was remember some interesting ideas in my recent research for a book I'm writing and then it hit me with a few mentionables from folklore.

. Fel Essence . - Roots of a Mountain
This fragment of unidentifiable stone looks like it is part of a much larger, nay gigantic perhaps living object, however it surely looks like the root of a tree, perhaps fossilized? Through Kyou's testing, it is in fact not, but the roots of an enormous mountain! That doesn't make sense, the foot of a mountain rolls into a valley or it's pushed up from the crust of the earth. But this small root fragment says that quite possibly different.

. Soul . - Raiju
While I have seen this soul used - the quest thread has been asked to be deleted, so it is currently no longer in use. More on the mythology bent, but through Japanese folklore.
A legendary creature. its body is composed of either lightning or fire and may be in the shape of a cat, tanuki, monkey, or weasel. The form of a white and blue wolf (or even a wolf wrapped in lightning) is also common. It may also fly about as a ball of lightning or fire (in fact, the creature may be an attempt to explain the phenomenon of ball lightning). Its cry sounds like thunder. While the beast is generally calm and harmless, during thunderstorms, it becomes agitated and leaps about in trees, fields, and even buildings (trees that have been struck by lightning are said to have been scratched by Raiju's claws).

Another of Raiju's peculiar behaviors is sleeping in human navels.

A hellhound is a supernatural dog, found in mythology, folklore and fiction. A wide variety of ominous or hellish supernatural dogs occur in mythologies around the world, similar to the ubiquitous dragon. Features that have been attributed to hellhounds include black fur, horns or bony protrusions, scales, glowing red or sometimes glowing yellow eyes, super strength or speed, ghostly or phantom characteristics, foul odor, and sometimes even the ability to talk. They are often assigned to guard the entrances to the world of the dead, such as graveyards and burial grounds, or undertake other duties related to the afterlife or the supernatural, such as hunting lost souls or guarding a supernatural treasure.

[Food Source] - Eats... rock and gems, as well as roots and tubers? (Well absorbs the essences, therefore weakening the bond of keeping the material stable - ie, crumbling into dust or wilting/rotting.)

Thinking of more Old Norse flavor with the steampunk-esque thing I got going here.

Looking for more of a stone work type of feel, concrete and ozone bright light contrast.

LOOKS : Strawberry blond thick hair, lightened unbelievably by the sun to a somewhat orangey glow. It’s well kept, simply styled over her shoulders or to flow in large curls down her back. With work she pulls it up well, with a large volume of curls and elegant tresses. A vivid blue and deep green eyes stare out startlingly, although they seem small for her gently angled face. She is generally dressed - horribly. As if she has no concept of proper clothing. Her claims are on comfort - which usually consists of large tees, jeans, or over sized sweaters and sometimes sweatpants, if one were to find her in her home.

PERSONALITY : Somewhat skeptic, however trusts her intuition deeply, follows her heart on her sleeve, although is oft times a coward and avoids conflict like the plague. She tries to keep everything in balance however it teeters from professional organization in some areas of her life to utter chaos and mess in others. Despite this, she is ever caring, and seeks the goodness within people, believing that everyone has a good seed somewhere. Occasionally she mothers certain people, and if she’s befriended - prepare for a friend for life with an occasional pinch from her clinging. She is often found throwing her determination into crafting projects and occasionally burning out from taking on too many at once.

HISTORY : Lacrima lived a fairly normal life, nothing extraordinary ever really came out of it for much of early and teen life - fights with her brother, or fights with her parents, but never anything serious. Her relationship with her father is nearly nonexistent however, but this she keeps to herself. When her adult life came to fruition she struck out on her own and had met many acquaintances, and friends. And some that also got her into trouble. It was the start of her excitement and growth in life, and the start of a wonderful, budding relationship with a particular young man - if only he wasn’t such a vagrant wandering waif.

She went to college, dropped out after a year. From her mother’s budding business, helping with some small assistance that Lacy could do, she was inspired to go back to college with a change of course. Lacy finished 4 years in Massage Therapy, learning ins and outs of holistic health, reflexology and several sub-branches of the little used medical area. Her main interests were in Sports Injury - and was studious in her quest. Her electives were writing and music - hobbies included jewelry craft which, once she moved down into Gaia, became the main means of receiving income.

She took her dog with her, Loriella, being together through thick and thin since she was seven. She lives now in a small condominium complex in Barton Town.
