I haven't watched or read Naruto in quite a while... Never watched the dubbed on cartoon network though, lucky thing that, I guess. It kind of drags sometimes, but I love the characters too much to abandon it completely. Especially Gaara, my absolute favorite in the series. heart

Naruto is my secret lover heart whee
I first read it in shonen jump, and it piqued my interest
so I read scanlations for... a LONG time and vowed to buy it once it got to the US--I'm only on volume 9 of the 20-some that are in japan eek
GAH domokun
although the story is somewhat cliche at times, I love how the characters develop and the variety of character (just so many to choose from, its enough to make a rabid-fangirl squeal and soil pee herself)
However I don't like how all the characters are effected by one character confused I'd rather it was different, but I'm not going to complain--
The art is great once you get farther in the series
I compared the first few volumes to some of the recent scanlations and was very surprised--
well worth the buy, if not get the artbook smile
I'd give it an 8.5-9 out of 10

I rather like Naruto. The story is pretty deep, but not too deep as to confuse readers. It's got enough humor mixed in with violent seriousness that it makes a good read.
Personally, I prefer the manga over the anime. However, the English Naruto volumes are way behind the Japanese ones, so I find myself translating a bit. I'd watch the anime on adult swim, but the episodes are so drawn out compared to the manga. That, and the english dub is horrible. It's just bad.
The only thing I don't like about Naruto are the obsessive fans known only as "Narutards." They are by far one of the most annoying groups of beings alive. stressed
Anywho... yes, Naruto is awesome. I love it. mrgreen

I love Naruto. English dub bugs me, though. I've seen almost every single episode in Japanese and I've read every chapter out so far. The Naruto Shippuden (Timeskip)anime is coming out in 2007, though. I'm so excited!
