Personally, I adore going to Ren Faires. I figured "Hey. T.P. writes in a quasi-Renaissance/Medieval period. Mayhap others who read her books are interested in the period as well," which is how I decided to create this thread.
I like the atmosphere, the interactions, and the costumes! I love the costumes so much. While there are those who look down upon Rennies (as Ren Faire goers are sometimes called) I think that the Faires are a great way to express creativity and meet people who are have similar interests and quirks as you.
Any opinions on Ren Faires or anything related to the Faires (costuming, historical accuracy, dances etc.)?

I have never been but the Medieval Period is one of my favorites. What's not to like about Castles and Knights?
