Appearance; One of the most outwardly evident things about Taoh is that he's small. Like, extremely small. It's good in any kind of undercover situation ( at least, it will be when he's entrusted with any of the sort ), but otherwise is a pain, considering he's regularly asked his age, no matter where he is. After all, with the stature of a fourteen-year-old, that's not a big surprise. He has lilac hair, honey-brown eyes and yellowed skin, which is often very dirty in all but two circles around his eyes, a result of how much time he spends in desert- or ruin-type places, scurrying around in a pair of goggles.
Despite his size, he's definitely spend a good portion of time over the past few years training for this part of his life. What part of his physique isn't skin and bones is almost exclusively muscle, which also accounts for the thermals he wears underneath his uniform ( he gets cold real fast ). Also a result of his size, Taoh wears the smallest available uniform, but still has the unfortunate problem of it, well, being too big for him ( after all, with the joining age set at sixteen, uniforms for those smaller are probably in short supply ). He makes due, however, and does his best not to complain.
Personality; Contrary to the usual ideas of Team Rocket, Taoh has never been any kind of strong. Or forceful. In fact, the boy was known once for being the adorably scrawny geek who lived furthest from school and always seemed to be late getting there. The kid with the hippie parents. Understandably, this built up over the years, creating a bundle of boiling resentment for the common man in Taoh's chest cavity. Training and other disciplines have, at the very least, strengthened his resolve, allowing him different ways to express his unhappiness with the general public.
He makes a good lackey, if nothing else. Due to the menial work he did on his parents' ranch, he will fulfill any kind of order without comment or even the bat of an eyelash, especially if such a thing is requested by a commanding officer. Honestly, being asked to perform any such task generally makes it much easier for him than it just being a requirement; it's quite good motivation.
Unfortunately, the boy is still extremely bashful, with a terrible inability to commit to any kind of cruelty. He's more the sort to mumble a frustrated insult to you and nearly cry if you threaten to hurt him for it. So, he's still a soft soul, still a ranch-born hippie-raised teenager, but he's readily coming into his own, quietly hoping he'll find an opening to take the world by storm.
History; Born to a family of very 'free-spirited' Pokémon breeders, Taoh felt his entire life as the odd one out. By contrast to their lackadaisical habits and dislike of routine, he set schedules for himself, studied hard, and practiced hard. His time with Pokémon never involved rolling around with them or being substitute parents for them, but training and training and training. By the time he was twelve, it was his well-trained Pokémon that were actually selling; quite a feat considering they were often the neglected of the remaining eggs.
The one person that Taoh was honestly close to was his elder brother, Niu. The perfect balance of cynic and free-spirit, the elder of the Song brothers was the only one accomplishes both at succeeding in the world and communicating things to their parents. Unfortunately, he was also the only one who was drawn out by the cry of Pokémon liberation. When Taoh was fourteen, Niu joined forces with Team Plasma, thusly disappearing from the young psychic trainer's life forever. With his brother -the only one of both of them who had any ability when it came to breeding- gone, responsibility to caring for the ranch's more important and less-fun duties fell on Taoh's young shoulders.
Rather than reacting with spite ( though his parents were on the receiving end of quite a bit of that ), Taoh took advantage of his new responsibilities. He used them to get himself in shape, to learn how to follow tasks in the exact way they needed to be done. He did whatever was necessary to stop being the scrawny weakling of a Pokémon breeder who lived furthest from his school. No, instead, he was going to work his way to the top of all of this. He was going to train his mind, body, and soul, and he was going to join Team Rocket.
Surely, that would shut them up once and for all.
Likes; Psychic Pokémon, revenge, his brother, doing menial labor, training, proving himself, vegetables.
Dislikes; His parents, his size, normal Pokémon, meat, shopping for clothes, the idea of falling in love.
Strengths; Following directions, having a very thorough knowledge of Pokémon biology, being a lackey, fits into small places easily.
Weaknesses; Lacks conviction, is terrible at the 'evil' thing ( despite his dislike of many people ), tends to successfully pull of sarcasm or meanness only at the worst times.
Fears; Choking, being locked in a ( typically small ) enclosed space ( cleithroclaustrophobia ), being poisoned ( accidental poisoning, that is; he doesn't think that everyone is out to get him, just that people can make unnoticed, dangerous mistakes ), getting sick ( nosophobia ).

Uses: A training and protection device, considering that it seems impossible for Taoh to catch anything that would replace him.
Favoured Reward(s): Attention, playtime, infuriated rants about how loathsome people are.
Personality: Bluntly, Horatio is a pest. At least, to Taoh he is. He listens for the most part, but when it comes to 'use a weak attack, I want to catch this Pokémon', his restraint is limited. He is quite content where he is, being Taoh's little energy vampire and the main object of his attention. He generally doesn't enjoy being in a Pokéball and would never dream of allowing himself to be put into a box. In a typically untrained fashion, the little Shuppet will jump from his Pokéball without summoning. What's worse is that making Taoh angry doesn't deter him - it only makes things more fun.
History: Horatio was stolen from a trainer who had only recently caught him, and happily so. Upon first officially meeting Taoh, the Shuppet was very much overjoyed by the idea of being cared for by such a spiteful person, so filled with a deep-seated hatred. There is more than just a bit of Taoh that regrets getting a ghost Pokémon, especially the sort that feeds off of negative energy, but he's learning to... stand him.
Taoh's Notes: "I cannot, for the life of me, understand why on Earth Horatio loves me so much. I'm not that great. Ask anyone!"
