Good instructions were precise. Good instructions left no room for interpretation. A smart person would give good instructions, but dumb people? Dumb people just assume you know, that you won’t look for the loophole. Mica’s newest acquaintances were of the dumb variety. At least, that’s what she told herself; not that she cared. The deal was struck and she was at the advantage.
The Dark Disciples were rivals with the Destiny Lords. That street trash didn’t usually merit her attention, but one of the Disciples had approached her with a proposition and Mica had at long last taken him up on it. A Lord would fall tonight; Mica would see to it. Yes, Mica would see to it, but she would also choose just who's time was up, since her instructions had been vague.
Mica knelt on the rooftop, careful to keep still and remain hidden by the shadow of the chimneystack. Her chosen target, “Goodie,” would be along soon, assuming he stuck to her schedule. “Goodie” was not your average thug. The brother of the Lords’ leader, he was smart; smart enough to get a scholarship to DCU. Every Friday night, “Goodie” walked from DCU to a particular pawnshop to sell stolen goods. He wouldn’t make it there tonight.
Spying her target, Mica tensed, coiling slightly as she prepared to spring. She was out of her territory here, on unfamiliar grounds, so she wanted to get her job done as quickly as possible. As the bulky youth swaggered past the alley, Mica dropped down and administered a quick jab to his kidney with her cane. He shrieked – a rather shrill, girly sound, actually – and Mica silenced him by stunning him with a blow to the head before dragging him back into the dark alley. As far as she could tell, no one had been around to see her, but Mica wouldn’t be surprised if the he-banshee’s cry drew attention.

After her last failed attempt at a battle, Grus felt miserable. She had lost, destroyed a part of town, and the senshi that wasn't quite a senshi got away. Her way of consoling herself was to power down, and treat herself to some ice cream. And then remained un-senshi-fied for a couple days. Now it was Friday night, and she dusted off her hands in the quick fashion of finality. The dust of the youma lay at her feet, and she smiled, even though she really hadn't done much at all. In fact, it had fallen to his demise from the top of the building nearby after Grus had chased it up the fire escape.
Grus walked down the street, boots clicking on the pavement. She wasn't quite sure where in Destiny City she was. The roads were unfamiliar, and she felt as if she were in the seedier part of town. The buildings took on a more rundown feel.
The high pitched cry of someone sent adrenaline coursing through her veins. She came to a stop suddenly, staring to her right where the cry came form. She picked an alley and ran down it, coming up on another street. She caught the faintest outline of a person across the street in another alley, and she bolted to the right, hoping they hadn't realized she was near.

Any other night Mica would’ve drained her victim’s energy first, but tonight she was in a hurry. The big lug’s squirming was making things difficult, she dropped him with a punch to solar plexus, letting him drop to the ground in an ungraceful heap. Crouching next to him, she rolled him onto his back, and then did something that would certainly be alarming to those that could see it: she stuck her hand into his chest. There was no wound, no blood, and yet Mica’s hand was clearly in the thug’s chest; searching for something, if her furrowed brow was anything to go by. Whatever it was, she found it, for her forehead smoothed out just as her victim bucked and let out another shrill scream.

She inched her way towards the ally while pressed up against the wall of the building. Peeking around the corner, she saw someone standing over another someone, and they seemed to be mugging him or something. Grus took a deep breath, readying herself. Trouble making civilians were usually easier to deal with than youma, once you showed them you have magical powers they typically run off.
Grus hoped this would be that easy.
She stepped into the alley mouth, and said loudly "You know, mugging people isn't a very good profession. Too many jobs hazards." Her arms crossed in front of her black chest bow, and she frowned.

An interloper? Mica couldn’t say she was terribly surprised. Whoever it was didn’t sound like a cop though, which left either a dumb civilian or a dumber Senshi.
“ Beats standin’ on a corner.” Mica slipped a gloved hand firmly over the man’s mouth, playing along to stall for time. “ ‘sides, I can fend for myself.”
The man’s body went limp as Mica finally extracted her prize.
“ This pays better anyway.” The starseed shone faintly in the dark, but Mica spared no time to admire it. Figuring that even the dumbest civilian would be curious about a glowing object, Mica quickly closed her hands over it to hide it from view as she stood up. Knowing she could escape to the roof if needed, Mica lingered to see what the interloper would do. Maybe she’d get a second starseed tonight.

The person wasn't very surprised by her, or even the least bit scared. This made her feel more than a little uncomfortable. If she couldn't pose her way through this one, how was she supposed to beat her? A flashback to the last battle she had raced through her mind. She'd manage to hit someone, but at a cost...she mentally shook the thought out of her mind. Instead she focused on what the woman was searching for.
Apparently she had found it, because her hand stopped rummaging.
What was she taking?
Grus took a step forward as a faint glow was visible for only a second or two before the person covered it up. She stared at the woman's hands. "What was that?" She asked, looking down at the man.

Mica didn’t answer immediately. She had been so focused in her hurry to get the job done that she hadn’t paid attention before, but now that she did, she was curious. She could sense a Senshi’s energy, and she suspected that it belonged to the interloper. The Senshi was likely very new or very stupid, and either would work to Mica’s advantage. Suddenly, Mica was in the mood to play.
She sauntered forward slowly, keeping her hands clasped over the starseed.
“ What is it? Don’t ya’ know? Worth a lot, it is.”
Mica was close enough now to make out the distinctive silhouette of a Senshi fuku, confirming her guess. Once she could see the feathers on the girl’s uniform she stopped, holding her hands off as if to show off a secret prize.
“ Looky. It’s a pretty thing.”
She opened her hands, revealing the delicate, faintly glowing starseed just long enough for a glimpse, for the Senshi to see what she had. The instant the Senshi made to move forward, Mica would close her hands and banish the the starseed to her subspace.

Grus watched the woman carefully. She didn't seem to be threatenig her yet, but past experience told her to stay alert. The glowing peeking through her fingers had her attention the most. What was the man carrying that glowed that way? And it was worth a lot?
She glanced at the man, and saw that he still hadn't moved from where he lay. Her brow furrowed with confusion and worry. "What did you do to him?" She asked as the woman, who's aura felt.. wrong opened her hands to reveal her prize. It was a small diamond looking thing that glowed with a soft white light. Her face felt warm for a moment and she gasped.
"You took his starseed!?" She backed away, eyes wide. That made her...
"Negaverse."

“ Very astute.” Was the dry reply.
With a flick of her wrist, the starseed vanished, as did her act of being a simple street thug. Mica stood, tall and calm, watching the Senshi’s reactions.
“ You’re new.” It wasn’t a question. “ How do you think you’ll handle me?”
Mica felt the odds were in her favor, but just because she was new didn’t mean that the Senshi couldn’t have a strong attack. Not keen on finding out the hard way, Mica instead summoned her cane, gripping its jeweled top as she continued her slow, calculated approach to the Senshi.

The starseed disappeared, and was replaced with what seemed to be a cane. Sailor Grus took an involuntary step backward.
This Negaverse agent was experienced. Castille straightened, feeling her power welling up. "Just because I'm new doesn't mean I won't put up a fight." She brought her hands up in front of her black bow in her chest.
When the enemy was within 10 feet of her, she called out her attack.
"Feather-Fall Cloud!"
A ball of feathers swirled from around her body, tightening together until Grus pushed it forward, launching the feathers toward her enemy at a rapid speed. If hit, she wouldn't be able to see for around 15 seconds, giving Grus a chance to attack.

Mica did not respond to the Senshi’s retort, but when feathers filled the air she did let out an irritated sounded that spoke of familiarity with the more annoying brand of Senshi attacks. That they used magic in battle was bad enough, but it was never simple, straightforward attacks. No, Senshi seemed to delight in magically disabling their targets before trying to beat them up.
“ Well? Come on then.”
Not being able to see was certainly a pain, so instead of going to the Senshi, she’d try to get the Senshi to come to her. Mica wasn’t going to stay where she had been though. She quietly sidestepped to her left so her shoulder brushed the wall, increasing the chance that Grus would either miss her, or run into her while trying sneak up on her.

Grus paused, making sure the feathers blocked her view. She took a couple of quick, careful steps, trying to be quiet. Maybe if she didn't hear Grus, she couldn't lash out in return.
She didn't want to hit her. Her stomach threatened her again, but she tried to force it to calm down. There was a person's life at stake! She couldn't be getting a stomach ache yet, especially when she hadn't even hit the person.
Close enough to feel the feathers on her face, Grus held her breath, and kicked into the cloud. It was a low kick, aimed at the knee. Attacking this way seemed to be the easiest for her, and did not offer immediate results of throwing up.

Since Mica had moved, the kick didn't connect solidly. It instead grazed the outside of her lower thigh and was just sore enough to make her glad she had the foresight to shift to the side.
Taking a step back - no need to stay in kicking range - Mica lashed out with her cane, whipping it down at where she thought the kick had come from. Not being able to see was certainly a nuisance, but that leg had to be connected to someone.

Her foot hit something soft, though what it was, Grus wasn't sure. For all she knew, she could have kicked a garbage bag, and the Negaverser was coming up behind her or something. She twisted around quickly to make sure this wasn't the case, and received a smack on the hip with a cane that appeared behind the mass of feathers.
The mass of feathers that was slowly beginning to melt away.
One by one, the feathers slowly seemed to lose their vigor, and drifted to the ground to be swept away by an incoming breeze. She caught a glimpse of a head now, then it was gone from view by the remaining mass. Then there was a leg, some other body part...
Grus let another kick fly into the feather mass, aiming a little bit higher this time.

The next kick caught Mica on the front of her upper thigh, briefly putting her off balance. She stumbled back a half step, but then used the momentum to drop to the ground, spinning a leg out to knock the Senshi’s feet from under her. Like most Senshi, this girl was proving to be a nuisance. The feathers were finally starting to vanish; once she had a clean shot, this Senshi was dead.
