I count every step I take: 2 (right), 1 (left), 2 (right), etc... while exhaling in my throat out my nose, mouth closed, always landing on my right foot to the even count.
if it's on tiles I stay in the squares, otherwise I step on cracks. my right foot ABSOLUTELY HAS TO stop on a crack on every fourth count.
~~~~~~
I have an odd number complex, especially prime numbers. I absolutely hate the number 7 above all others. I don't mind 1, 3, 5 or 9 however.
my favourite numbers are 4 and 16, because they are perfect squares.
~~~~~~~~
I blow in my cups in even counts (either 1, 2, 4, or 16) before and after picking the up, setting them down, pouring anything in them, drinking anything from them, or dumping anything ut of them.
~~~~~~
I rinse my hands after absolutely everything I do, and also after short periods of time if I feel sweaty, or if I just havn't rinsed them in a while.
~~~~~~~
I hug my pillow and think "pillow counts as blanket, blanket protect me" and count 1-2-3-4-5 in my head at random.
if I don't finish this thought consecutively whenever I remember to do it and/or start to think it, I freak out and do it again twice.
if I do it more than once (which is almost always because doing it once triggers it's repetition) I have to do it a square number of times, or else just twice.
~~~~~~~
I thuck my sumb.
~~~~~~~
I can't sleep without night terrors unless I am snuggling someone or have something to hug that I can imagine is a person.
the exception is my pillow. it is my security blanket as long as it has a certain pillowcase on it, and I hug it whenever I can, taking it almost everywhere with me (except in public... usually anyway).
I hate washing that pillowcase, because the more it absorbs my scent the more soothing it is for me. plus, I can't stand going a whole 2 hours without it. xp
~~~~~~~~
I think that's enough for now. redface I don't need to share everything with you guys.
I have to wear pants with pockets. I rarely wear skirts or dresses for this reason. If I don't have anywhere to put my music, and I can't go get down, it sucks.
I almost always sleep on my right side. I don't have any difficulty sleeping on my other side but even so I prefer this.
When I shower, and I close my eyes, I have to rub my hands over them before I open them. This makes no sense but I've done it since I was little.
I often think of escape routes from random situations, in great detail.
When I turned 16 I was very upset because it was too square a number.
Sometimes I purposely add mistakes into my writing because I think it can look too pristine.
I'm happy you're back. Also I sent you an email recently. Did you get it?
I'll have to check. I've been slow about checking emails lately.
:hugs you.: I'm glad to be back. I couldn't go through with leaving Gaia for good after all, it's still too much a part of me. xd
sides, I was starting to get the idea that you and a few other friends of mine on Gaia who hadn't already began contacting me offsite weren't ever going to.
anywho, I gotta say, I swore off wearing anything that didn't go past my legs the day I wore a mini skirt. sad it's ******** how automatically harshly judgemental people become when you put one of those on. I realized that day that Miniskirts are purely Sex Costumes.
and yet, I've recently accepted a green dress that one of my Stripper friends used as a :ahem!: "work uniform" before she gifted it to me... redface
she convinced me to play dress-up, and it was in her house with just me, her and her fiance, and she did my makeup and everything and I've never looked so pretty in my life! >///<
but the hilarity of your revulsion to my favourite number for the same reason that its my favourite! xd rofl that's awesome.
I always have to rinse out a cup at least three times before filling it with the drink of my choice; once counter-clockwise, once clockwise, and the counter-clockwise again. ------------------- I have to have my hands in fists. Open hands feel odd. ------------------- I follow the same general process every day (similar to a routine/schedule, but not at fixed times).
.....There are more, but I can't think of them at the moment...... ninja
When ever I start running, I start breathing in time with my steps, out-out-in. razz I walk faster on inclines than on level surfaces. I take the stairs two-at-a-time. I say "excuse me" after every burp, cough, sneeze and yawn.
Um...I think that's it. My husband could probably list more. razz
I don't think I have any straight up OC habits... I do do weird things, I just don't think I have anything I HAVE to do to function...
I do quite often have imaginary conversations (or confrontations) with people I know... Like, it starts off with me thinking of a question I want to ask someone, or considering confronting them, and then my mind takes off with the endless possibilities of how the resulting conversation might go. I can occupy myself for hours considering the what ifs.
Normally, when I do finally ask or confront, I am so totally prepared that I get disappointed when certain parts of my imaginary conversation don't make it to the RL version.
I hate the feel of skin on paper, or using the smudge stick on paper, the roughness goes in me like nails on a black board goes for other people. It's really bad cause i'm an artist always drawing or, now even more, needing to smudge things |' D
I always have a need to know the time. Oh I can forgot about it for hours, but I get itchy when i want to know the time and don't have some clock to tell me...
I have a need to sling a bag on whenever I go out, even if it's mostly empty. Though it gets really anoying whenever I have to run and catch the train or something as it slaps against you if you don't hold it down.
Aaand i probably have more but i've got homework i really should focus on :" d
I have a few habits, although I can't think of all of them at the moment. My biggest thing is that everything has to be straight, piles of paper, dvd cases, picture frames. I also check all locks and my alarm clock three times to make sure everything is how I want it.
