Sam was crouching, low to the ground. A large pillar, which was splattered with some sort of glowing goo, kept him hidden from view. It was imperative not to be seen. The boy was dressed in all black, like a spy. A black turtle neck shirt and dark jeans covered his body. Over his clothes was an armor-like vest, and in the boy’s hand was a gun.

Slowly, he peered around the corner of the pillar. The coast was clear. Checking behind him, he glanced back to see his companion standing up right , pressed against a wall. Sam gestured that she follow him.

Quickly, the boy was on the move, running down a metal ramp. It made a loud clank with each step. The noise caught the attention of the enemy below. Sam could barely make out their forms. The entire room was dark, except for the eerie glowing splatters and a black light. Then he saw it, a bright light. Someone had let their guard down.

Taking aimed, Sam started shooting. His female companion following close behind him. It was kill or be killed. Pew Pew Pew.

The light of the target flashed, indicating a hit. Sam’s laser gun managed to hit the top left target of someone’s laser tag vest. Success.

Nate didn't usually play around in the arcade. Sure, he liked video games, but he preferred to play them while lounging on his bed, surrounded by any food he wanted, rather than stale and greasy concession stand food.

Plus, at home he didn't have to worry about anyone putting their money into a game he was playing and beating him at it. That s**t drove him up the walls, and he wanted to punch the snotty little brats that played so much they had no trouble beating him.

He was only fond of competitive gaming when he knew he was the best player in the room.

But this was a bit different. Laser tag was just a less fun version of paint balling. Less fun because it didn't leave bruises and welts, nor did it leave stains of blood and paint. Still, it was an excuse to shoot at little kids and get away with killing them, and ruining the day of people who went to play on their birthdays was always a kick.

He spotted a target and followed them, not seeing who they were until he poked out behind cover to aim. Some kid just shot someone else, and Nate grinned, firing at the kid in return with the invisible laser.

Lily grinned following behind Sam. Laser tag had been such a great idea, like stealth and aim training without the bumps and bruises of a battle. She hoped it would be a very helpful and fun activity and so here she and Sam were sneaking about, guns in hand ready to take out the enemy.

She ran down the metal ramp in the darkness, dressed in black as Sam was, although as always a little over dressed for the situation, not that it really mattered. Usually as a senshi one was always a little over dresses or too under dressed.

She caught sight on the bright light, but Sam did as well taking aim and shooting. Lily turned to cover their back and as the light went off on the targets vest she whispered, "good job Sam, keep it moving."

She turned back to follow Sam once more and only just caught sight of the other shooting at Sam. "Over there" she hissed quickly and quickly took a shot at the other, even though she thought her aim might be off.

A shot from any unknown direction hit one of Sam’s light. His vest made a sad little beep as the light on the lower-left of his back went out. “Damn..er.. dang.” Sam corrected his language in front of Lily.

His eyes narrowed, trying to pick out where the shot had come from, but he couldn’t make anything out. Firing a few random shots, Sam followed after Lily.

The two of them turned left the ramp and slipped into a strangely angled corridor. The path took a few sharp turns and finished in a dead end. Lily and Sam were trapped and would have to go backwards to the open area.

Nate pulled himself out of the line of sight after shooting at the kid. He could use the lay out of the place for his advantage, running to get some distance so he could circle back on his new targets and give them hell. They had to be chasing him, right?

Because he had just shot one of them. Who left a man injured and unavenged?

He managed to lose them in his efforts to best them, of course, but when he found them again he saw they had walked into a dead end. He grinned, moving to the opening and looking at the two waiting at the end.

"Well well, what have we here?"

He grinned, gun aimed in their direction, realizing he recognized both of them.

"If it isn't my music tutor and protege. Trapped like rats." He tapped the butt of the gun with his thumb, the other still near the trigger. He grinned at them devilishly. So this trip to the laser tag arcade was not a waste at all.

Lily frowned when it seemed that they had been cornered but lifted an eyebrow to the voice that had cornered them, then looked to the face to confirm. It was Nate. She most certainly hadn't expected that.

"You would shot a girl and a child, would you," Lily sad with a pout before grinning at her friend almost certain that in a few seconds she be dodging to make sure her light didn't go off indicating she had lost a life.

Her own laser gun was pointed toward Nate, but not aimed at him, but her other hand tapped Sam's back to get him attention. It was a very small movement, she didn't want Nate to notice.

She gave him a light push, not enough to move him, and then tensed. "On three," she whispered letting him know they were going to try to get around Nate. She tapped his back .... tap .... tap .... tap ... and quickly made to run left around Nate.

Go around? Not likely. As Lily tapped on Sam’s back, Sam raised his laser gun up and took aim. Pew, pew, pew! Sam fired shots at Nate rapidly before moving to run after Lily.

He had to shoot; he knew that the older boy wasn’t going to let them go easy. Shooting first was necessary. Sam was quick kid, and his size helped. He skirted around Nate with easy and then dashed in front of Lily. Nudging Lily as he went passed her, he pointed towards a hiding spot for them.

Turning a corner, he ducked a rolled, landing underneath a low hanging shelf: it was an excellent place to lie and wait like a sniper.

Nate laughed loudly when Lily concluded that he would, in fact, shoot a girl. And a kid. Which he would, without hesitating, at least in this setting. And with paintball.

"Of course I would. Isn't that a thing with you guys? You want to be treated like everyone else. Except when it's convenient and can get you out of some trouble."

He grinned in the dim, multi-colored lighting.

Then she was moving, and Sam was firing. Okay, so standing out in front of them when they both still had their weapons was probably not his best move, but he laughed and moved to get to safety. He fired his laser in response to one of his lights going out.

"Way to go, Han Solo! I thought you'd wait for me to shoot. See? Can't play easy, even if you are girls and kids," he called after them, hiding behind a wall. He implied they were both girls and kids. "But don't think I'll let you get another shot like that in."

He was down against them in hits, and he had to deal with two against one, but he was not going to let that get the best of him. He slinked around the walls, keeping low, trying to find where they were.

"Come out, come out, where ever you are.."

Lily grinned when Sam let off some shot, the boys was a quick thinker and even quicker on his feet. It made her feel more confident that he would become such an amazing senshi as he grew.

She of course followed him after skirting around Nate, but she was none to fond of Sam's hiding place and wished momentarily that she was powered up so she could jump up on top of something. He slide under, but she backed behind a pillar to hid from their 'attacker'.

Lily had good ears so she was listening for any movement, and even more so she knew Nate wasn't the only one around. A rustle of cloth from close by was the only warning she got before be shot at and having jump out of the way, just barely being missed and shotting at her unknown attacker.

She was in the open now and the shots of course had drawn attention to her.

Lily! No! She was out in the open. Sam crawled on his stomach to get a good view of the place and see what was going on. He was mostly well hidden by the overhanging wall., except for a foot which was poking out the other side .

From his low position he watched people come go to shoot at Lily, and before they could get too close Sam shot at them first. Pew Pew! Due to his funny angle, most of Sam’s shots missed, but he managed to hit a few targets.

Now if only he could spot Nate. Where had he gone?

Nate saw Lily appear in plain line of sight, and he laughed, moving to take that shot. Why pass up such a perfect opportunity to take out an easy target?

He didn't think it might be a trap.

He saw Sam at the last moment, before taking a shot at Lily, and pulled himself back behind cover. He frowned, then opted to take the front on approach. He wasn't going to spend all his time hiding, damn it, he wanted to get some hits in.

Plus, he didn't care about getting himself out, so long as he took someone else with him.

Gun blazing, he jumped into the open and hit the floor, flat on his stomach. He fired at Sam instead of Lily, since there were other laser taggers focusing on Lily as well. In all the chaos, he hoped that he could at least get some surprise on his side.

Lily turned at the thump on the ground and frowned seeing Nate on the ground shooting at Sam. She didnt hesitate to shoot at Nate, who was shooting at Sam. This of course put her at a disadvantage and her light lit up to let her know she had been hit.

She had to retreat behind a pillar, but she stuck her head out to shoot at the girl that was now shooting at Nate, before shooting at Nate again. Whether or not her aim was accurate enough to hit him was debatable, but she was most certainly trying.

She was even grinning at how fun their little battle was becoming as she pulled back to avoid another shot at her. When she poked her head back out she frowned at the two who approached Sam and Nate.

"Guys heads up, behind you," she said forgetting Nate was on the wrong team. Man she was bad at this game.

Sam didn’t expect to see Nate, belly down and shooting at him. Both lights on his shoulder went out.

He heard Lily shout. Giving up shooting at Nate, Sam wiggled his way out from the ledge a bit and instead fired at the team of kids who were shooting at Nate.

The light on the smaller boy’s chest went out, complete with a sad little sound. That signaled that he was ‘dead’. The boy’s head hung down and he promptly left the field. His friend however leapt back and ducked behind a corner before he could be hit by Lily or Sam. The kid cried out “Don’t worry! I’ll avenge yooooouuuu.”

“Good Luck with that.” Sam called out back. The question was what to do now? Go with Lily and help take out her attackers, or try to eliminate Nate. Nate was more challenging, and Lily was a sitting duck. Sam opted to help her, who knows, maybe Nate would even help too?

Nate found himself in a hail of invisible gun fire, lights going off all over the place. He was getting hit, he could see the guns being trained on him, and could see his enemies getting hit. All very distracting, but he kept his eye on the prize.

He wasn't going down without a blaze of glory, damn it.

"How rude!" he called out, rolling away from his vantage point on the floor. Since everyone had noticed him, it wasn't advantageous to remain on the floor anyway. He scurried behind a wall, pressing his back to it and checking on his lights.

One hit left.

And no way to cheat for more, unless he stole a vest off of someone who had more hits left. But that would be difficult and more trouble than it was worth, in the end.

"Those are my targets!" Nate called, firing from his hiding place to try and get rid of the other kids shooting at Lily and Sam.

Lily grinned to see Nate helping even it was for his own selfish reason, but that was Nate for you. It amused her very much though her amusement died when she lost yet another light. "Hey," she called a little irritated before lifting her own weapon and firing at her attacker.

Sam was at her side again and she couldn't help but to be relieved. "You okay Sam? How many lights do you have left?" She was asking the question despite her current distraction of shooting at random girl one who seemed to be helping shield random girl two. It was interesting teamwork albeit a bit weird.

She laughed looking over to Sam briefly, "not as easy as it looks. Good training though huh?" It was a whispered statement, but she was sure Sam heard her.
