It was overcast just like Tahki liked it. Something about the gray clouds made being out side all that much more enjoyable. Possibly because she was used to sitting in a dark room for hours on ends playing video games or reading as apposed to being out side in the bright sun shine. Possibly.
The wind though, the gryphoness could have done with out. Every now and then a strong breeze would come and be so strong that Tahki would have to shield her self with her forearms. It was a good thing the gryphon had voted against bringing an umbrella. The hassle with this wind and the umbrella would have been far to much.
Another strong gust started up but this time Tahki had not been prepared for it. The wind literally knocked the gryphons headphones off her head and blew them towards a entrance gates of the academy. Tahki did her best to catch up to them but by the time they had exited the campus it was to late.
"J-JACK DAMN IT!" Tahki covered her mouth the moment she cursed and looked around. No one seemed to be watching. Would a S.N.O.T like her get in trouble for leaving if it was to collect her headphones back. Tahki eyed the headphones now resting in a tree branch just out of reach from where she was standing. Would she risk it? Tahki looked over her shoulder one more time and put one foot down out side the gates.

Tybalt had spent most of his day off campus and was actually sneaking back in when something hit him directly in the face. But before he could say a curse of his own, he heard one not too far off and despite being a curse, the little stutter only made him snort. It sounded like a first time offender but when he looked down at the item he had caught ( with his face ), he noticed that he had seen these somewhere before. They were headphones, gold ones...
Now, there were a few people he had seen wearing headphones often. But there was only one he re-called wearing gold ones like these. That white gryphon ghoul he had seen a while back and who he saw at the N.A.P. club.
Tahki was it?
Looking around the gates to the school's entrance he saw that it was indeed Tahki and looking rather distressed too. Perhaps it was because she had lost these things? Kind of looked like it and though he was tempted to return them to her, he was also wary. She was after all a gryphon, and if she was anything like that Ren, he would rather just avoid her. Put her headphones in the lost and found and leave it at that. That's what he was planning. But after taking a second look at her, she didn't look at all like Ren. If anything, she looked like the timid type that always avoided being the center of attention.
Staring a little longer, the black dog finally gave a sigh; giving in and heading directly towards her.
"You lose these?" He asked. Holding out the golden item towards the white winged ghoul.

Tahki held her breath and closed her eyes after her foot had been put down, but nothing happened. No teachers came out to yell at her and the world hadn't ended. Slowly, Tahkis eyes popped back open and she took another step feeling just a little more braver. And then another very tinsy tiny step more.
But then a rogue voice caught her off guard and she let out a cry and leaped up ward into a branch. The gryphon hugged that branch for dear life while she also shook. It took her a second to realize that the voice did not belong to any one on staff, but it belonged to Ren's friend from N.A.P club. Tahki gave another sigh of relief and let go of the branch and landed on her two feet. The branch she had clung to had not been very high off the ground. In fact, it had been embarrassingly low to the ground.
"Uhh.... Y-yeah..." She looked down at her feet. "Im.. Errmm.. I mean I was... The wind you see?" She looked back up with her head tilted trying to explain what happened to Tybalt. "I-I-I mean... Uhh... Wh-where did you find those?"

Tybalt simply watched as the ghoul literally sprung off the ground and clung to a branch. It was a funny sight. Seeing this predatory creature cling to the branch like her life depended on it and even with a startled look on her face! It was priceless! Thankfully, he managed to keep his laughter contained and was relieved to see she was able to make it back onto the ground again without injury.
"Err, my face found them." He said, still holding them out for her to take them. He'd let her guess what he meant by that. Right now he was still trying to decide if she was okay or not. So far she was passing, in his books.
"Whatcha' doing this far out on campus anyways?" He asked; despite the fact that he just sneaked back onto campus himself. Though it's not like she saw or anything, so there was no point in mentioning it.

The statement 'my face found them' was not easily pieced together by the gryphon. She had a few guesses pop up in her head but all of them were over imaginative and completely wrong to what had actually happened. She didn't question the canines answer though and just accepted it.
"This far off campus?" Tahki looked behind her. Literally the gate was right there. Then she looked back at Tybalt and raised a brow. "Is.. is this far off campus?" The question was half serious. Did students normally just not leave during this hour? Her brain went over the scenario quite a few times but left out the most important detail there was. What was Tybalt doing off campus?
"Im.. Errr.. Lost my headphones..." She looked down shyly at her feet and kicked at the ground some in a child like manner. " T-the wind you see its...."
Thunder over head interrupted the gryphon mid sentence and was met with a very quiet Eeeep from Tahki.

"Mm.. On. Out on campus." He corrected her. Though since she looked upset about the entire confusion ( that he partially caused ), he decided to speak up again. "Don't worry. You're still on the campus and even if you did go off it, I don't think anyone would pay much attention to it." After all he did it all the time.
"Well, you have them back now." He assured her. Placing them in her hands and looking up at the sky. "It is getting pretty stormy though. Think there will be a--" He started to ask, but before he could finished his sentence, the sky answered giving a low rumble across the sky. "..storm." He finished with an amused look on his face. Though his attention was quickly brought back by the startled sound from the gryphon ghoul. Was she scared of storms or something? Or was it just because it was a sudden crack of thunder? Nevertheless, it was probably best to make sure.
"You okay? Do you need to go back to the dorms before the storm is right overhead?" He asked.

The look of terror on Tahkis face melted away the second Tybalt returned the headphones back in her hands. She felt a little more secure now that they were back in her possession and Tahki wasted no time to place them back on her head. Not that she was listening to any music or anything right then and there.
"No one pays much attention to who comes and goes?" That gave the gryphon another load off her back and she had almost forgotten about the storm until another crack of thunder happily reminded her sending shivers down her spine and she gave another high pitched EEEEE sound.
"Dorms.. Dorms might be safest? " This time the storm was kind enough to let Tahki finish her sentence. But the sky opened up right then and there and bombarded everything with rain. This got an amused look from Tahki.
"Maybe driest too.." She offered an unfolded wing out to Tybalt.

Yep. Definitely the owner of those headphones. That was the image he always remembered. They were like a permanent feature on the gryphon ghoul.
"Not that I've noticed. I've yet to be caught and I don't even think it's against school rules to go off it. I see others go to places like the maul all the time." Himself included. After all, he had to get food for his minipets somewhere and wasn't going to try snatching food for them from Ginger's cafeteria. No way in hell!
"Okay then. I'll walk you back?" He stopped. "Or run if you prefer?" He wasn't sure how scared she was of storms, but she was indeed scared of them. It was just like Night. Except... less clingy...
Thank Jack!
By now the rain had begun it's downpour and the sky was growing darker and angrier by the minute. Pretty soon the storm would be right on top of them. To be honest, it was pretty exciting. Especially since the storm looked to be promising. Perhaps he could spend some time out in it afterwards?
Rocking back on his heels, the black dog shook his head and offered a toothy grin when he noticed Tahki offering to cover him with her wing,
"Nah. Thanks anyways. This is my kind of weather. Plus, a little rain won't harm me."

The rain continued to pour down on the two and everything else. Tahkis bangs, now drenched, hung in her face completely covering her eyes. She looked almost like a sheep dog. Almost.
"Ah.. I see," Tahki nodded her head at Tybalt even though through her hair she couldn't actually literally see much right now. Though the gryphon quickly remedied that by pulling her bangs from her eyes. However the moment she let go the bangs were right back where they had been. Tahki gave up that battle.
Thunder cracked over head again and Tahki found her self low to the ground shivering. Yeah, at least for her the dorm was probably a better idea.
"I-If you wouldn't mind," Tahki looked up at Tybalt, "If its not trouble I mean... "

Tybalt couldn't help the snort that came at the sight of Tahki's bangs. Though if anything it made him thankful that is own bangs were less inclined to do that when they were wet. After all, he was out in the rain whenever he could manage.
"Sure, I don't mind." He assured her. Putting his arms up behind his head as though this was just like any other day and there was no storm raging overhead. "Which dorms you from? Monster, right?" He asked, just to make sure he wouldn't accidentally take any wrong turns. But now that he thought about it, this would be his first time going anywhere near the monster dorms. In fact, he had only ever been to the ghost dorms and that was because that was where he stayed.

The snort caught Tahki off guard but she didn't hold it against Tybalt at all. She was aware of what she looked like with wet bangs.
"Really? You really don't mind?" It did surprise Tahki some. Though, when ever someone was willing to do something for her it kind of surprised her no matter who it was. She wasn't one to be optimistic all the time about others or her self for that matter.
"Y-yeah! I mean. Yes. The monster dorms." She couldn't hide the smile sprawled across ear to ear.

"Not at all! I should be heading back to my own dorm soon anyways. Might stay out a little longer to enjoy the storm though." He admitted; looking up at the sky to admire the next flash of lightning, soon followed what sounded like a booming roar.
Ahh~ How he loved storms.
"It's settled then!" He said, returning her smile with one of his own and walking off towards the dorms.
Luckily, the monster dorm was located behind the ghost dorms. Which meant the walk shouldn't be too long. All they had to do was take a left and head straight forward and she'd be back safe and sound in her own dorm and then all he'd have to do is walk back to his own.
"I'm Tybalt by the way." He said, finally offering his name, now that he was sure that she wasn't the same type as Ren. "You're Tahki, right?" He asked, vaguely re-calling her name from the N.A.P. club's disaster meeting.

The flash of lightning over head earned another eeeeeep sound from the gryphon. Storms, specially electrical storms, where never her favorite. Usually it meant no plugged in electronics such as video games and what not which never set well with Tahki.
"T-the rains not so bad but the lightning..." Tahki nervously twirled her thumbs. Finally, she lifted her self back up from her grounded safe position. Tahki felt her cheeks go pink when Tybalt offered his name. She'd forgotten to offer hers and hoped that he didn't find her rude for not introducing her self.
"Yes. I'm Tahki. Its nice to meet you Tybalt," She gave the dog a warm smile, "Your Rens friend right? Calder said not to touch Ren or his boil friend would come after me." She frowned, "I may have touched his hand at one point? Im so sorry.... Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" She looked down feeling ashamed. Of course Tahki took the wrong meaning of what Calder meant by 'touching' and the wrong boil which was completely false anyways. The whole thing had been a miss understanding.

"Eh? But the lightning's the best part! Look at how everything lights up!" He said excitedly, just as they were blanketed by light in a single flash. "It looks like when the sun shines on everything when we were on that boat ride in the human world." He said happily. He was excited to be in the storm. For some reason, he always felt drawn towards them. How anyone could dislike them, he'd never understand.
"Nice to meet you as well!" He offered a grin, but unfortunately, that grin was quickly lost.
"...Ren?" He asked. Confused. What had given her the impression that he was friends with that a**? And what's more, was she mistaken him for something more..? "Hey! Whoa! I'm not friends with that guy! If anything, I think it's safe to say we despise each other!" He assured her. "Seriously! You could beat the s**t outta' him and I wouldn't care! Honest!"

"I.. I suppose.." She looked up at the sky expecting another flash but for once the sky was actually quiet. It was a good thing at least to Tahki. "It gets in the way when your flying or playing video games though... or out side... I don't like being shocked."
Then Tahki regretted the passing over the false information over to Tybalt. She swore it was Tybalt.
"Phew! I was really worried you'd come after me. I wonder who his boil friend is then if its not you." Tahki looked thoughtful for a moment and then let it go. It wasn't any of her business. She'd just have to keep space from Ren if the two were to see each other again. Yeah that would work. Then who ever his boil friend was wouldn't attack her.
"Not that I'd beat Ren up or any thi-... Wait you two hate each other?" It just clicked and Tahki had all but forgotten that she was standing out in the storm.
