Heart wasn't sure why she was out this far from the dens - alone - it was something Heart normally would never..ever do..but Raven had convinced her to head out this way for some reason or another and even though she currently forgot what that reason was heart was sure that it had been a good one and to keep Raven from becoming angry with her she had better just keep wandering around until she remembered what she was supposed to be doing.
This was exactly the reason, she told herself that Azazel had chosen to stay with Raven - she just wasn't strong enough to protect the little bird. She got that...she really really really wanted Azazel to stay with her of course but as Raven was always pointing out - what would she do if he ever got into trouble? In any case all of this wondering and thinking wasn't helping her recall what she was supposed to be doing and sighing slightly Heart paused to looked around and try and figure out where she was.

Okay, this was bad. Though granted she had been in worse situations as well. Perhaps someone would come by to help her out. All she had been trying to do was get to that nice little clover patch over there so that Blackavar could have a yummy snack...but fate was against her, as per usual. So for the moment Rabbit sat on the ground, a slightly dejected look upon her face. Blackavar was laying beside her, patiently awaiting for her to get out of her current situation. She wasn't exactly sitting, though it might have looked that way from a distance. Rebbit knew the truth. Her one hind leg had slipped into a hole that she hadn't seen and was now solidly wedged into that hole.
She had though about digger herself out, but it was hard to dig something that was behind you when you were stuck facing forward for the most part. Sighing Rabbit was not impressed. Clearly someone needed to be given the job of filling holes such as this one to prevent this from happening again. Stuck in her thoughts Rabbit almost missed the black and pink form of one of her siblings, but when she did Rabbit truly hoped that it was not Raven for he would likely laugh at her misfortune. Watching the figure for a moment she learned that it was actually her sister. Well that was better than Raven, or most of the rival litter as well. "Heart!" She called out, tail thumping against the ground hoping that somehow her sister would come to her rescue.

Heart was still lost in the maze of her own thoughts, chanting 'remember' 'remember' 'remember' mentally to herself as she gazed at her surroundings without really seeing them. when Rabbit suddenly shouted out at her Heart yelped and skittered sideways a bit, ducking her head and tucking her tail almost instinctively in the hopes of soothing whomever it was shouting at her..of course once she figured out it was only Rabbit Heart straightened up a bit.
Slinking towards her brightly colored sister Raven cast a questioning glance towards her "R-r-rabbit?..what are you doing way out here?" She questioned in a halting but decidedly happy voice "Boy am I glad to see you! I was way out here and alone..and I don't know exactly how to get back and ...so why are you here again?"

Watching as her sister came forward Rabbit shifted her weight a little, as her stick leg was starting to tingle a bit due to the confined space it was in and her weight pressing down upon it. What was she doing out here? Rabbit tipped her head to the side in thought for a moment. "Oh...I was taking Blackavar to get some clover. He really loves it and there's a bit patch of it just over there." She motioned with her muzzle towards the clover that was so close and yet so far away. Cursed holes. But of course now Rabbit was curiously as to why Heart was way out here, it seemed quite out of character for her sister to have wandered this far from the dens.
"Why are you out here?" And more importantly why are you alone, Rabbit added mentally knowing her sisters penchant for being near others. Though taking a wild guess Rabbit figured that Raven had something to do with Heart's far off wanderings. But she would wait and see what Heart said, for surely there must be a very good reason for her to be out here, but whatever it was Rabbit was glad to have someone found her, even if Heart wasn't exactly the rescuing type...she would have to do for now.

Heart glanced towards the clover Rabbit had mentioned, it was nice and green and bushy and looked like just the sort of thing that Blackavar would have loved - though she couldn't figure out why they were sitting over here instead of over by the clover. she was on the verge of asking just that when her sister went and changed topics on her.
Heart completely forgot what she was about to say and flattened her ears slightly in thought while she considered her answer "I...I don't remember" Heart confessed "Raven told me to come out here for something but now I can't remember what it was and I just know..just know! that he and Azazel will be awfully angry if I don't remember!" The black and pink wolf sniffed miserably and blinked her eyes to keep from crying.

Oh dear, perhaps Heart wasn't the best wolf to come across Rabbit right now. Look she was almost on the verge of tears! But maybe, just maybe they could help each other out. Perhaps if Heart could help get her out of this hole then Rabbit could help her remember why she was out here. Flashing her sister a bit smile Rabbit figured it was the best solution to both of their problems. "I'm sure you will remember what it was. I'll even help you try to remember okay?" Well there was the first part of her plan done, now to more on to a more personal matter.
"But I need your help too okay. You help me, and I'll help you. Sound good?" Rabbit probably should have waited until Heart agree before telling her what she needed help with, but really the sooner her leg was free the better. Lifting her back end up a bit, Rabbit glanced back at her stuck leg. "Think you can help me get my leg unstuck?" Returning her eyes to her sister Rabbit flashed Heart a pleading look. "I think you could just dig a hole around it, that will work." Giving her head a nod to confirm those words and perhaps reassure both herself and Heart that this plan would work.

Heart sniffed again as her sister smiled at her and told her she would help her figure out why she was out here - Heart didn't know why she was surprised by the offer, Rabbit was by far one of the nicer of her siblings even if she was always getting into trouble and having bad things happen to her.. "You will?" She asked hopefully, sniffing again while she listened to Rabbit go on, her eyes nearly bugging out of her head the more she heard.
"Your stuck?!?" She squeaked staring at the leg in horror "But you won't be able to eat and you'll starve!" She wailed, anxiously hopping from one paw to the other while she looked at the leg "and were so far from the pack and and I don't know how to get back and I don't think I could find you again if I did!" She continued on in a panic stricken voice, completely disregarding the whole digging out plan in her panic.

Letting out a sigh, Rabbit shook her head, yup this was definitely not going well. Heart was turning out to be of no help at all and all of her frantic talking was upsetting poor Blackavar. Lowering her head she nudged her little friend and whispered to him. "Don't worry, it will be okay." Not only was he upset over the current mood surrounding him, but he looked pretty darn hungry too. But bless him for staying at her side when all that delicious clover was so close and likely taunting him with it's sweet smell.
Focusing back on Heart Rabbit had to figure out what to do. Her sister had made some valid points, there was a very small chance of Heart making it bad to the dens and an even smaller chance of her finding her way back here. Man where was Rua when you needed him, she though with a shake of her head. Rua had previously rescued her from a similar situation and his help could be used right now. But, she had Heart and that was it. "Heart!" Rabbit said loudly to get her sisters attention and hopefully stop her babbling. "If you get me out I won't starve. Just dig a hole near the one my leg is stuck in." And to encourage Heart to do just that Rabbit thumped her tail on the ground a few times. "I bet your great at digging holes." She said cheerfully and prayed that she was right about that.

Heart yelped again when her sister yelled at her again, jumped backwards only to focus on her with huge sad eyes and a 'why are you yelling at me? I'm really really sorry' expression on her face. Shaking she nodded and crept closer to study the leg stuck in the hole.
It looked awfully wedged in - what if it had been broken when it got stuck? What if there was a larger hole underneath and when she started digging it collapsed and they all fell to their doom?!?! "I don't know if I can!" She wailed making one half hearted swipe at the dirt beside Rabbits leg "What..what if I hit you when I dig? What if your legs hurt?"

What if you take too long and I starve to death? The question rolled about in Rabbit's mind but she decided not to ask it. Doing so would likely send Heart away crying and then she really would be stuck here forever. Rabbit had to keep a relatively calm approach to this. "Of course you can." If you don't help me, then no one will. Honestly Rabbit was starting to give up hope, and her leg was really starting to go numb from being pinched by the edges of the hole.
"It doesn't feel hurt. But if it is, then it's best to get it out quickly so we can get home." Oh gods she hoped it wasn't hurt, for that would really put a damper in her day and poor Blackavar would have to wait to get some clover. "Just...dig carefully." Probably shouldn't have said that either, Heart woudl probably get even more paranoid about digging. "And remember, as soon as I get out I'll help you remember why you came out here."

Heart glanced at her sister and took a deep breath, if Rabbit really thought she could do this then maybe she could. In any case Heart didn't think there was much choice in the matter and aside from the whole finding a bigger hole and falling to their doom thought from earlier there wasn't to any ways that this could get worse.
Plus she really wanted wanted to figure out why she was here in the first place and Rabbit kept saying she would help. Hesitantly she took another swipe at the dirt trying to keep from getting too close to Rabbits leg - which was hard since she was also trying to free the leg and the dirt was packed really really hard and she had never been the strongest of wolves to begin with. Still after a little bit of digging she had managed to make a decent sized depression beside the leg.

Hey look at that! For once luck was on her side and Heart decided to actually put a real effort into try to dig out her leg. Best not to get too excited though, things had a way of quickly going back for Rabbit all the time. As the hole her sister dug got a bit bigger Rabbit attempted to wiggle her leg. The dirt on one side felt a bit looser but in the end her leg was still stuck. "Keep digging, I think it's getting looser." It would take some time, but if Heart kept it up the leg should be free soon enough.
If only she could turn her body about then Rabbit would help Heart dig. But doing so put way too much pressure on her leg and she didn't want to look like she was in pain or else Heart may stop digging. So she remained as she had been and gave her sister some encouragement and support while she waited to be freed.

Heart paused as her sister tried to wiggle her leg free a bit an while she could see some movement it didn't seem like she could pull it out quite yet - which meant she would have to dig deeper, or maybe dig a bit more to around the leg itself... since she didn't think making the current hole bigger was going to help all that much. "Okay" She told Rabbit "Maybe this will work..." she mused mostly to herself before pawing at the dirt again, this time she tried to swipe some away from in front of the leg hoping that it might loosen the ground enough so that her sister could pull free.
After a few swipes she unearthed an earthworm and after squealing in girlish horror and skittering away shaking her paw she slunk closer again, peering into the hole to make sure there wasn't any more bugs before she took a few more swipes. "Try again!"

Hearing Heart's words made Rabbit realize that her sister was for once in her life showing a bit of confidence. Well wasn't that great! And all Rabbit had to do was get her leg stuck in a hole in order to see that happen. Maybe she should have had this happen soon. No, giving her head a shake, that wasn't the way to think. Yes it was great that Heart seemed to be coming out of her shell but Rabbit was really tired of holes and being stuck in them. At Heart's squeal Rabbit turned her head to look to see what the problem was, and spotted her sister cringing at the worm. That made her laugh a bit, but she quickly stifled it not wanted to shatter Heart's new found confidence.
Once more Rabbit tried to get her let out. She pulled, and wiggled and slowly she could feel it moving. "I think it's coming out!" With one final large pull and a grunt Rabbit flopped face first into the grass, her leg now free from the hole. Panting heavily Rabbit looked at at her sister with the largest smile on her maw. "You did it!" And now for the real challenge, figuring out what Heart had come out here for.

"I did it!" Heart cheered as her sister flopped onto the ground, now Blackvar could have his clover and Rabbit would starve...maybe she could even remember howto get home because try a she might heart still couldn't recall that herself. wonder of wonders however she did sudden'y recall why she had been wandering about out here to begin with. "Azazel wanted grain! I was looking for some seed plants!" She suddenly blurted out cheerfully 'But I think I went the wrong way" She added with a frown. "At least Blackvar can have his clover now" And one of the family friends could have what they wanted which was better then nothing she supposed - although she was sure that Raven and Azazel would yell at her when she got back - a thought which made her ears droop slightly.
