Feeling the cool breeze blow through her fur, Areia sat, Bali leaned against her side, with a distant expression on her face. There was little doubt in her mind that Bali was both her brother and her soul mate, something that she really saw no problem with, mainly due to the fact that they weren't blood related. Though she saw mates and lovers simply as siblings not connected by blood.
"Bali, do you have a girl that you love on the outside?" It was an honest question, and she was merely curious about the fact. She wasn't really the jealous type; in fact, she could have shared a male if she believed that he had more than one female linked to his soul.

Feeling rather sleepy, Bali couldn't have been happier. It had been a first for him, when he met Areia, but they had spent every moment together since that day. It was a beautiful thing, and he could have sworn that they both felt something more than just 'sibling love,' but they both knew that they could never call it anything other than that. It was just how things were.
"A girl on the outside? Not really, no." Sure, there were flings and one-nighters, but Bali didn't really feel anything deep for any of them. Not like what he felt for Areia. "My dearest sister, you wouldn't be jealous, would you? You know that what we share is greater than anything I could ever share with anyone else." Poking fun at her, he knew that she probably wasn't. He'd come to know Areia very well, and she always had a way of saying exactly what was on her mind, no matter how fickle the desire may have been.

"I'm not jealous." Smiling like a small cub, she felt slightly relieved. It was more a matter of not wanting to have to deal with someone else that he was serious about, because she wasn't sure if she'd have a link with their soul as well.
"Bali, I feel like such a selfish little girl with you here with me. Like we are in a private world of our own." Grinning up towards the sky, the constant silence of the desert only increased this feeling. She loved having him all to herself, especially in the first couple of moons since their initial 'birth' as siblings. To her, these days were needed to better establish their bond before they go on separate journies. After all, she wasn't sure when the next time she'd see him would be.

"Darn, and I was so hoping you would be." Laughing, he found it almost disheartening that she wasn't. But it didn't really mean much.
"It's alright to be selfish. As long as we're here, I'll indulge the fantasies of this little girl." Nuzzling up against her, he laughed. He felt kind and perverted all at once, like he was truly the one that was keeping her caged up all to himself. But he wouldn't tell her that, not as long as she was this happy.
"Areia, I love you more than you know." Rolling up onto his stomach, he grinned at her, gently sliding his paw over before tackling her to the ground.

"You sound like a creep." Giggling, Areia looked up at him, almost wishing that, in this moment, he was more her lover than her brother. But she couldn't change the cosmos' will.
"Bali, you're teasing me again." Pawing at his underbelly, she gave him a small smile. She knew that he was good with the girls, and she was no exception to that. By now, she knew that he knew what her feelings towards him were, no matter how complex they seemed.
"But I don't mind it."

"Good, because when it comes to you, dear 'sister,' I feel like being the biggest creep in the world." Pressing his nose onto hers, she could feel her breath run down his neck, and it gave him shivers. If it hadn't been broad daylight, he'd be tempted to do something just awful to her.
"It's alright to tease your little sister; it helps you learn." Taking in a few deep breaths, Bali climbed off her, taking a few steps away from her. He smiled gently, wanting to get rid of the tension that he knew was growing between them.
"My beloved sister, have you ever left our little paradise?" Thinking back over the past few days, he couldn't ever remember asking her that. It seemed odd, but he could somehow feel that she hadn't.

Rolling over, Areia's expression almost looked cold. Though it wasn't odd to her, their relationship was as bipolar as the ocean, constantly shifting back and forth between siblings to something way past that.
"I've never been out there." Looking down at her paws, she knew it seemed odd to him. He was a traveler, so outgoing and full of the yearning to learn more. When she was young, she dreamed of leaving the desert to where the grass would slip between her toes gently. "But mother always kept me here....even after she went on to the next phase." Now, it was her mother's memory that kept her here. "But now that we're linked, I think I can do anything." Nodding at him, she felt her heart throb slightly. "I can feel you life flow through me, and it gives me strength."

"I thought as much." Giving her a soft smile, he was sympathetic to her situation; what young cheetah would want to leave the place their only family lay in the ground. It didn't seem odd at all to him.
"But you know, you should leave this place, at least every once in awhile...." His voice carried off as he thought for a moment. "You could come with me." Grinning at her, he took a few steps towards Areia, pressing his paw against her chest. "If it is my life that streams through you, then shouldn't you always be close to me? If you'll be my grass, I will be your earth, and always give you what it takes for you to live on and grow." Sure, it sounded a little cheesy, but it came straight from his heart.

"I've always thought about leaving this desert, but my paws always stop themselves before I reach the Savannah." Though it was more her own will then the will of her paws, Areia had honestly tried multiple times to leave, but found that she just couldn't.
"You really....you really mean it?" Eyes lighting up with excitement, she knew that if Bali was leading the way, she'd never turn back, no matter where he'd take her.
"Then I think I want to go with you, Bali. To the ends of the earth and even far past that." Smiling gently at him, she licked his nose, overjoyed at what was to come.

"Then it's decided." Nodding his head at her, Bali could feel himself blush as her tongue ran across his nose. "We'll leave tomorrow, and only look back when we must." Though he had high hopes for it, he knew that they wouldn't stay away long. After all, this desert was their home, and most importantly, it was their own personal origin.
"Areia, I will love you until the sun and moon fall from the sky." Smiling at her, he coiled his tail around her, feeling that now he had someone that he needed to show the world to.
