It wasn't long after that party Team Rocket had at the karaoke bar, that Jerome was heading back into the city, taking the families rout (On the roofs again) To the little Mechanic shop that was owned by the young women Izumi, or as Jerome knew her, "Ink"
She had been there at the bar when Jerome had gone, and she had told him that his MP3 player was ready to be picked up. He couldn't take the time off right away to go get it, but after some of his training for the last few days was giving way to a small break for the afternoon, Jerome had headed over.
Dropping down from the roof, into the front of the sore, The man stood, and made his way inside, glancing around for Ink, or that Beldum of hers.

Izumi and her blue-eyed Beldum were nowhere to be seen, even though the store was unlocked, and the door leading up to her apartment was wide open. The shop was strangely silent compared to the other times that Jerome had dropped by, likely meaning that Izumi wasn't hidden working under a car. There was an mp3 player sitting on the workbench with a shiny new silvery grey case, about the same size and shape of the little device that the gangster had dropped off to be repaired.

The shop was unlocked, and her open hours were posted, so he assumed that that shop was open, only... when he walked in, he found it oddly empty, and the door across that he knew went up to her apartment was wide open for some reason... that was usually closed.
"Ink." He spoke as he walked further into the room, glancing around at the cars that were lined up to see if she was under one of those... nope.
He frowned softly, listening so any kind of noise... nothing.
His eyes returned to the open door with another frown, had someone finally broken in? was Ink in trouble?
He glanced to see his MP3 player, good as new laying on the table... it wasn't taken, maybe she wasn't robbed.
"Yo! Ink!" He barked louder, stepping over to the open door to peer up the steps.

There was a loud crash upstairs, like someone had dropped or knocked something over. Still no answer.

Well ******** scowled coldly when he heard that, but didn't make any other noises, briskly he made his ay up the steps, and as quietly as he could go.
Keeping himself against the wall.
Damn it why was he going up there? It was probably some dude's from Grif's gang, they run this turf now, This was bound to happen eventually, He was still finishing healing from the last time he encountered them!
Still, Jerome kept moving up, not really becasue he had something to prove, but Jerome found he was actually concerned to see if Izumi was at least still alive.

"Augh!" A female voice shouted from somewhere in the apartment while something rattled around. "No!"

Yeah, that was definitely Izumi, so she was alive, though clearly something was wrong.
The good news though, is that he knew where the noise was coming from, and picking up the pace he slipped around the corner, sliding along the wall until he got the room room the noise was coming from, balled his fists and stepped into the kitchen.

"Wheatley! That isn't- Don't put the peanut butter in the toaster!" The blue haired girl lamented, pulling the blue-eyed beldum away from the toaster, letting a jar of peanut butter clatter to the floor. The kitchen was a mess, but no one had broken in. Izumi hadn't noticed Jerome step into the kitchen, hadn't heard him downstairs, and hadn't heard the door chime when he had walked into the building.
"Dum." Something floated suddenly in front of Jerome's face- something with a bright orange eye. It stared at the man, analyzing, considering how to deal with the intruder.

Jerome was ready to bust some heads in, fists were clenched and raised, his arm already moving to swing at the first thing he saw that wasn't Izumi.
Only... there wasn't anything that wasn't Izumi.... other than her Beldum.
Jerome hung there, all tense and ready, his black eyes wide, as they blinked in surprise.
... There was no robbery, Izumi was fine, and she was making... lunch.
Jerking back as a reaction when something suddenly appeared in his face, he lifted a hand up, shielding from the light of its eye.
squinting slightly and able to make out... another Beldum.
"... Ya know Ink, ya should really lock the shop when ya ain't down there." He said, with a sign.

"Ah!" Izumi jumped, startled by someone she hadn't noticed speaking up behind her. She turned around, a slightly fearful look in her silver eyes, before realizing that the person standing there was Jerome; "H-hi! Wh-what- Um- Hi! Glados, don't be rude..." The thin girl let go of the Beldum in her hands, which floated back over to the toaster to poke at it with the claws on the bottom of its body. The orange eyed Beldum backed up slowly, gaze never leaving the suspicious man. "Oh- No, it's okay." She said in response to Jerome's advice about locking the shop, a carefree smile crossing her face.

Yeah, no kidding he surprised her, she left her shop unlocked, unattended and her home door WIDE open with valuables laying all over the place.
She was going to get herself killed.
Watching as the Beldum floated away, furrowing his brow slightly before letting out another sign and putting his hands in his pockets. walking further into the room and over to Izumi "I'm being serious, this kinda hood, you don't want to be leavin' your door unlocked."
He did glance back over at the new Beldum though, a slight, pondering frown on his face. "Is that... the one ya found in the yard?"

"What?" Izumi looked at Jerome like he was crazy. This kind of hood? "Everyone around here is nice, besides. My shop is safe." She waved a hand casually and turned back to the toaster, which was now full of peanut butter and in the process of being filled with jelly.
Wheatley was helping! "Oh no! Wheatley!" She grabbed the Beldum again and pulled him away to a loud protest of whirring and clicking. The orange eyed Beldum glowered at the other steel type. "Um- y-yes. I fixed her." Izumi said cheerfully, despite dealing with a struggling pokemon who only wanted to improve making sandwiches. "Jerome, meet Glados."

He stared at her... how long has she been here? she thought everyone was nice? No... No Ink, not everyone here is nice, not nice at all. Why was she saying that?
He honestly had no idea why she thought that, why she wasn't more careful.
"Ya really think so? this ain't the best part a town ya know."
When she introduced her new Beldum, Jerome looked back at it "Glados" He repeated. and looking rather impressed "So ya did end up fixin' it, I was certain ya wouldn't be able to... it is a pokemon."
He lifted a hand up, in a greeting gesture to the pokemon.

"Everyone keeps saying that..." She mused as she grabbed a screw driver from the kitchen counter--because she kept tools everywhere-- and started taking the toaster apart. "Yeah- but, it's also a machine, and I can fix any machine."
The new Beldum turned back to Jerome, slowly rotating around the man, observing him. "Bel..."

Jerome watched the Beldom as she moved around her, lifting a brow lightly. "I didn't know that." He admitted, and to think it had been throw out...
"So you got yerself a new pokemon."
He looked back at her, watching her hesitantly, He knew she wasn't stupid, maybe a little shy, and abnormally kind... did she seriously think people here were nice? that he was nice?
