 Ami walked into the cafeteria. She held a notebook in one hand and a pencil in the other. She noticed that the cafeteria was pretty much empty and thought to herself.
No one's here.
Ami hadn't even checked out her dorm yet. All she wanted to focus on right now was her writings. She sat down at one of the tables and laid down the notebook. With a pencil twiddling in between her fingers, she called out,
"Hello? Is anyone here?"

Fuyuko walked in, in her human size. She hummed happily carrying a bunch of fresh picked strawberries. She walked through the cafeteria to the line area going right on in. She came out with a tub of vanilla ice cream in one arm, still holding the strawberries in another. She sat down at a table and put the ice cream down opening it and throwing the strawberries on top. "Yummy!"

When Ami saw another girl come into the cafeteria, her eyes jumped to her notebook. Because she was shy, she was embarrassed to say hi. Writing random notes in her notebook, she began to scribble down diary entrees randomly. She glanced up a couple of times at Fuyuko, wondering if she would say "hi" and make friends with Ami.

When Ami looked up again, Fuyuko was sitting right infront of her. "Hiii!" She said smiling. She ate a spoonful of icecream. "Whatchya writing??" She said as her spoon turned into solid ice, eating some more icecream.

Ami glanced at her notebook and laid her pencil across it. She shrugged. Her voice was quiet, but not quiet enough to be a whisper.
"Oh.. Just some random notes. I can't think of-- of anything to write."
Her eyes widened when Fuyuko's spoon turned to solid ice. It was just like in her stories, when she would write about the impossible.

"You're human aren't you?" She said straight to the point. "We don't get many humans here. Well I don't think so anyway." She finished up her icecream happily. "mm thats better. I dont like the hot weather."

"Hu- Humans?"
Ami had a puzzled look on her soft face. This place was really like her stories! Non-human creatures, fantasies-- maybe Ami was exaggerating.
"Y- Yes, I'm human. You're not? I'm taking it that- that this academy isn't ... I don't know how to put it, human?"

"Un!" She said smiling saying yes her own way. "Most humans here have special powers!" She grinned. "I'm a snow fairy!" She said changing her size into a fairy size. She grew out her wings and flew onto Ami's shoulder sitting there. "Some people here though are dangerous.. To the point where we don't see them much... so be careful!"

"Sp- Special powers?"
Ami flinched when Fuyuko jumped onto her shoulder. She look at her; wide-eyed.
F- Fairy!
She thought, crossing her hands together and laying them on her lap. She knew that she had the right to believe in mythical creatures-- and she was right! They did exist. Therefore, Ami smiled.
"My name's Ami.. what's yours?"

"Fuyuko" She said sitting down on her shoulder. She thought Ami was interesting since she has not known that this place was meant for "special" people/creatures. She was wondering how she had gotten in the school.

"I wake up and think that dreams are real...
"Nice to meet you, Fuyuko. I'm Ami."
With a shy smile on her face, she introduced herself. Ami knew that it would take awhile to adapt to this academy, but with Fuyuko around, it wouldn't be so hard. Ami hated the fact that she was shy. It had always prevented her from making new friends, meeting new people, and even trying to speak up. Bringing some courage in herself, she asked Fuyuko,
"Do you know if maybe we have dorms here? I haven't checked if I have one...."
... because I know that reality is a scary place."

Fuyuko smiled, flying off her shoulder and changing back into her human form. "Of course we have dorms silly. And you can choose whichever room you want to be in!" She said fluttering her wings making herself hover above the ground. "Do you want me to take you there?" Lately she has been showing the new kids to the dorms area, but it didn't bother her one bit.

She shrugged, still holding that smile on her face. She glanced down at her notebook, but her eyes automatically became glued to it. She skimmed her hand over her pencil and like a magnet, it became trapped into her left hand.
"but to be honest,"
Ami said, finishing her previous statement,
"I'm curious to see how my dorm looks like.. if it's no trouble, can we maybe go check it out?"
... because I know that reality is a scary place."

"Mhm! I can take you there now if you'd like!" She said excitedly. "Follow me!" She turned around and fluttered out of the cafeteria towards the dorm area.
