Adrian "Vamoose" Moose stared upon the murk of sloppy lemon scented water. The light above turned it into a dull mirror and for once since his stay in Kodo, he stared upon the eyes of his own which lacked the luster of happiness. Due to his little idea to skip out on his afternoon requirements, his shift was doubled to mop the entirety of both the first and second floors. The material of his trainee gloves caused his grip to slip along the mop's handle so of course, it was common logical sense to remove them to slide the ragged Medusaesque item across the tiled floors. Yet, the wetness had left his fingertips pruned and dry like a Magikarp left in the sunshine. A frown sloped itself down onto his thin lips and he sighed, throwing the mop down with a clatter and throwing the short locks of wheat blond over his forehead.

"Yea, uh-huh, 'all shall be well'?" He drew a breath than and remembered he had quit the cigs months ago. It was also the same time he shredded his hair, lost his only slice of good flesh, and lost all semblance and idea of respect from his other colleagues by falling back to trainee and being shipped to Kodo like a nice wrapped package; bring red bow on his pasty flat a**. "Nothing more than s**t . . . "

The red clad trainee pushed himself towards the metal clad corridor walls and stilled himself to a half-squat to the wall. He lowered his head into his hands and sighed. His stomach jumbled. What was this? A desperate bout of homesickness or a pathetic wash of fright? All in all, there was just literally one answer to his predicament: all was not well.

Akemi didn't have any assignments for the day, and she was restlessly wandering around HQ. Ever since getting injured a while back, missions had gotten somewhat more straining for her, since she'd suffered some very minor neural damage which made her lose her grip on things on occasion.. such as her Pokéballs.

The Grunt was pondering whether to head for the training facility or to look for something to assist with in some other part of the building. Rei was perched on its petite Trainer's shoulder, swaying its split tail peacefully behind them. The Espeon had become the girl's most trusted companion, alongside her Ivysaur.

"Ugh.. what to do, what to do.." Akemi mumbled to herself, forgetting to watch where she was going. Before she knew it, she walked into someone in the hallway, causing her tiny frame to stumble backwards. "Ah, I-I'm so sorry--" she said, scurrying back onto her feet. She always walked close to the walls to stay out of the way of higher ups.. and she was unfortunate enough to bump into a Trainee, seemingly on cleaning duty. "Um.. is everything okay?" the girl asked, noting the male's somewhat troubled expression.

Teal eyes glanced upon the girl, seemingly careless about her presence. Sure, she was cute and he was hankering for other undeniable pleasures but it was neither the time nor the location for such sacrilegious thought. No- he was forlorn, depressed, lost in an uncanny world- looking, looking, looking- breathing, breathing, breathing- breathe, breathe, breathe- sadness . . . It was as unsatisfying as his first time, this feeling. Adrian shuffled up to a full standing form and twisted his mouth up to the Grunt. Was she another unrelenting fille de joie? Or another ingenue maiden with vague interests in scrambling across downtrodden men during searches for enjoyment? Ah. Husks of humans were harder to read than their thoughts.

"I'm alright." Feverish lies but he answered, scratching the bottom of his chin. "Are you okay?"

Those two eyes looked to the Espeon next and at once, he wondered how his purple mystery was behaving. She had left his presence long ago to scan the enjoyable recesses of her new home. Considering the passing time, she most likely found a favorable spot to nap.

"Ah," he choked. "You lost or something?" Great question to ask, when he was only there was a number of days and already lost himself twice, both psychologically and physically. At least it was just easier to get to the cafe . . . it was at the bottom of every building he had past visited.

The girl's pale cheeks grew slightly pink, out of embarrassment because of her carelessness more than anything else. "I'm really sorry.. I wasn't looking where I was going. I'm glad you didn't get hurt-- and I'm fine - I'm tougher than I look, haha.." she spoke in a somewhat hasty tone, yet still genuinely apologetic. "N-no, I didn't lose anything.. I just have no duties for today and I was trying to come up with something useful to do.." the girl explained.

Rei's eyes were fixed on Vamoose, yet the look in them was relaxed. It was simply observing their new acquaintance.

"Uh.. I guess you're new here.. I don't think I've seen you before", the tiny Grunt continued, giving the Trainee a slight smile. She held out her hand for a shake, then. "Th-the name's Yumeno.. Akemi Yumeno. Um.. if.. you ever need help with anything, I'd be glad to offer a hand whenever I'm free.."
Indeed, at times she seemed way too nice to be a part of a criminal organization. Maybe that was part of the reason why she still hadn't been promoted any higher. She lacked the attitude of a true Rocket, despite her obvious dedication.

Finely blushed cheeks; it was a common occurrence for a man who loved all women. Even if the sight beheld his sacred, ignorant sight more than a hundred times, he never denied the almost laughable contentment it brought him. At once, he denied his sadness that bellied depression and obliged the other with a positive and welcoming salutation.

"Pleasure," he responded, tone now dropping low. That's right, he was sad. "The name's Adrian Moose, pleasure to meet you Akemi." Adrian withheld his codename or more casually, his 'nickname'. There was no need to embarrass himself further, though his last name itself was an indication that chuckles should ensue.

He withdrew his hand after a moment's pause, hoping to let the happiness linger. It did not. "I am new, came to this Hel- came to Kodo no longer than a couple of days ago. Still getting acquainted and all; gotten lost multiple times . . . place is like a damn maze." A pause than a bright consideration. "Question: you free to show me around? A tour would be great."

Akemi continued to smile in a friendly way. "Nice to meet you, Adrian", she confirmed, hoping to memorize his name. She never forgot a face but sometimes the name connected was lost along the way. "Yeah, this place is big, I used to get lost as well when I got here, even though I'd received a floorplan prior to transferring.." she said, chuckling embarrassedly.

Rei yawned languidly, flicking its ears back, listening to sounds coming from down the hallway. The small Espeon glanced over to the mop and bucket a few feet away from them, tilting its head.

"Sure, if you're done with your cleaning duty", the girl then replied, noting the cleaning supplies as well. "I wouldn't want either one of us to get in trouble. If you're not finished yet, I could help though, and then show you around", the Grunt then offered. Like a girl scout, always wanting to help others.
"Oh, where are you from? I grew up in Orre, but my parents were Kanto natives", she said wistfully.
