Yoru had been working on something for quite some time and every time Minty would get close- he would switch to something else as to detour her from looking at what he had been working on. Or when she slept he'd work throughout the morning and be slightly exhausted at night when he was usually awake. It had been a long time since she had first arrived and made his life coughcoughfullofdelightfullyannoyingdestructiveblisscoughcough. He had accepted it and sometimes through time bumped heads or healed her when she did get hurt. It was routine now to have her around. Even as far as making a small hay stack for to sleep on so she wouldn't have to sleep on the floor but that had already been in use for quite a bit. Doing small but meaningful things to help keep her here. To feel like this was home..
But wouldn't she have to go back? From which she came? Did she have a home otherwise? He didn't know, but he didn't want to ask and remind her and have her leave him. Something that was so selfish to others but when this girl had come in to his life, he only knew of sorrow and death. Loneliness was slightly an issue but he would think he heard the voices of the dearly departed. Talking to gravestones before she came in to his life. It felt now, so right. So. It came around the day of the anniversary of her stay here at the graveyard and he was excited. As much as he could show it and contain himself for the big reveal. He awoke early and fished a few small fish in a nearby river.. then brought it back, slapping it down and pulling of a small pouch of berries. All different and delicious in their own way, because this was the food he knew and loved. What she ate, before meeting him, was beyond his understanding.
Adding the fish in to the pouch before making his way home and dropping the pouch beside her sleeping body before running a few feet back and laying down. Watching her, and dipping his head low between his legs. Hoping she would wake soon.. it was around that time. Just about. It was just about to hit night.. when they were usually up and cleaning gravestones and planting flowers. His tail coiled close to him as he wondered what she would be like, if she remembered.. or.. hoping that it was a good thing that he DID wake ahead of her.
