The Negaverse Captain was starting to feel the effects of all the fighting and hunting she had been doing lately. It wasn't easy, keeping up with her enemies and tracking down those miserable Pages in her search for the two she owed some revenge on.
She spent more time on her hunts, stealing energy and then using the rest of her night, well into the morning hours sometimes, to look for leads concerning the Pages, or in the hopes of catching their energy signatures.
Nothing yet, but she was nothing if not diligent.
Tonight, however, she was sitting down on a bench near a bus stop. She wasn't waiting for a bus, which weren't running this late anyway, but rather she was taking a moment to eat her dinner. Or breakfast. Whatever she wanted to call it, she was hungry and had missed eating the evening before.
She had a meat and cheese filled sandwich with her, of which she was eating a half of, the other sitting beside her. It was the most delicious thing she had ever eaten, surely. Or maybe she was just very hungry.

Okay, so maybe the ridiculous sleeves had a use. Well, the pockets they hid had - it was the perfect recipient for energy orbs.... Well, as long as he didn't start blocking hits with his arms. But now, his first success, one lone orb of energy, was kept tucked safe, and Alunite was wandering the streets carefully. It was late - and he needed to go home soon to catch some sleep.
...But... something... Something smelled delicious. Very delicious, actually. And he was reminded of one fact - man, he was hungry.
Time to investigate.
He homed right onto Painite thanks to the scent - and leaned in over her head to peek at the sandwich, which caused his ponytail to fall over the bench. That earned an annoying grumble from it's owner.
"Hey there." He said to the Captain. "Where did you get that ? That smells delicious." Men. Really.

Painite felt the energy, still unfamiliar enough to make her bristle, but she relaxed when her memories clicked into place and she recalled that the tainted feel in the air belonged to a senshi that was now on their side. A corrupted senshi, as they were called.
Also, he was leaning near enough for her to actually see the tell tale signs of his status on his forehead.
"I bought it, and it is delicious," Painite teased with a jovial laugh. She patted the bench, though, motioning for him to join her in her picnic. There were few times she had trouble treating her fellow Negaverse soldiers, corrupted senshi or any other folks fighting for the same purpose as she was, with instant friendship. At the moment, she was in such a good mood about her sandwich that she didn't mind him sniffing around for some.
"Do you want some? I've still got half. Hey, I've never seen you around before." True, she had only met a couple corrupted senshi in her existence. Actually. One. She had met one, who was awesome, and a corrupted cat, who was also awesome. So, following what she knew about them so far, she had high hopes for this stranger.

It was all the invitation Alunite needed to hop over the bench and sit down next to her. Okay, so maybe the hair pissed him off, and the skirt, and the leggings, and holes everywhere... But he could really get down on the whole 'you defy physics like a god damn anime character' thing. Had Matthew tried to do what Alunite had just done, it would probably have ended quite badly.
For him, that is.
"If you don't mind !" Hey, she was offering. And he was hungry. All good, yes. And he felt... oddly at ease with this girl. Strange...

Painite watched as Alunite hopped over the bench, nodding her head in approval. One of the many fun parts about being a super powered being was the ability to do thing their normal civilian bodies couldn't Painite used her strength to he advantage, but was not too well practice on the agile, physics defying part.
So she was easily impressed when others were, and used it.
She also didn't know he didn't like his hair or flowing robes. To her they looked rather breezy, easy to move in, and certainly conducive to running and jumping. She'd probably step on them or get all caught up if she tried wearing something similar, however. Still, she didn't have a bad thought about his look.
Sliding the untouched half of the sandwich toward him, she nodded her head and let him take it.
"Not at all. Hey, I haven't seen you around before. Are you new to this scene?" She watched him curiously. She had met corrupted senshi before, and knew the basics, and a few person-specific details about her last encounter, so she didn't have to bombard him with questions right off the bat. Not that the impulse wasn't there.

Alunite accepted the sandwich half with a nod and a grin. "Thanks !"
Hey, even evil was polite ! Though neither himself or Painite would call themselves such, of course.
"I haven't been around long." He said in answer, before taking a bite. Yep, tasted just as good as it smelled ! "A few weeks... maybe ?" Odd how the more time passed, the more days seemed to blend back into some sort of normality. "Something like that. Still pretty new."
"My name's Alunite." He offered. "And you would be... ?"

Painite smiled and nodded her head, saying, "you're very welcome!"
It was always nice to get along with other folks in the Negaverse. She considered them all her friends, they just didn't know it until they met her. Most of the time, anyway. There was no point making enemies where she most needed allies, after all. They were all working for the same cause, even if in different ways.
Or so she liked to think. What else could there be?
"Oh, I see! I don't know everyone around, of course, but you guys are in smaller numbers, so I wondered if you might be newer rather than I just hadn't managed to feel your energy around anywhere," she smiled, taking a moment to enjoy her sandwich before nodding and swallowing quickly.
"Oops, I'm sorry. Captain Painite. Pleasure to meet you, Alunite! You look familiar, in a way. I'm not sure why." She didn't realize it was the same reason why he had looked familiar in the game shop, when she met him as a civilian. He reminded her of Fluorite.

"Ah ?" Alunite let out in between two bites. How odd... Did they really feel familiar to each other ? But when had they met ?
"Hmm... We might have crossed paths briefly ? Though im... quite noticeable, or so im told." Fluorite said it best - his aura could fish out senshi in a goddamn 10 miles radius.
Hopefully exagerated, but still.

Painite laughed and nodded her head.
"Well, your energy definitely is, but that's not what I mean. I've met corrupted senshi before, so I know what they feel like. But it's something else. Have you teamed up with anyone? Or maybe I've seen someone who looks like you in the Negaverse."
She tapped her chin thoughtfully. She couldn't place Matthew or Ashley against him, but she did get the feeling that she was on to something. He looked like someone she had seen before.
"Ah well! I don't think it's too important. Either way, we know each other now, right? So! Were you out on patrol?"
She was always talkative, and she liked the rare chance to just hang out, though hunting energy and senshi, and now knights, would always be her main source of fun. She finished her sandwich half slowly, missing it when it was gone. She'd have to get another one some time, as it was very good.
And an effective way to meet people, as it turned out.

"Oh, um... You might have met my sister ? We look kinda alike. Im older than her, though im told if we were closer in age, we might pass as twins." He shrugged, devouring his own sandwich half.
Deja-vu, anyone ?
"I was patrolling, yeah. Im not... too good yet, but I try to help out when I can, and distract senshi when I run into them." Be it attempting to fight, or perhaps even to get insight. Alunite couldn't help it - he was curious about the other side, how it operated, and how things were.
Both to see what he might have missed, though so far his only meeting with a senshi that hadn't ended in a fight hadn't impressed him. But also for information. Who knew, maybe one of them would be loose-lipped enough to let something slip.

"Your sister!"
Painite looked surprised, but oddly delighted. The last corrupted Senshi she had met was related to someone else in the negaverse. Was that a prerequisite? She grinned and kept her thoughts to herself, nodding her head eagerly.
"Maybe that's it! Who is your sister? Oh! Is it Fluorite? I bet it's Fluorite. That would make so much sense! Wait! Are you Matt? I met you before! We were in the video game store."
She said it, her thoughts all coming out rather than staying in her head in case she was wrong. But now that she was sure she had figured it out, she was confident she wouldn't be embarrassed. She was not sure, however, if he had been corrupted when they met or not.
He might not remember her.
"Aw, it just takes some practice. No one's good right out of the gate. I'll help you out if you're ever in a pinch!"

When Painite started chain-tailing, Alunite didn't seem to notice or mind. Really, it was when the words 'Fluorite' and 'Matt' came out that he suddenly choked on his sandwich.
Whoops !
"Wait wait wait wait wait," He managed once he had caught back his breath. "You're Ashley's friend ?!" Yeah, s**t, now it made total sense, how the hell had he overlooked it ? I wasn't like she grew 5 foot worth of hair whenever she powered up !
"Yeah, I remember you !" s**t, what was her name ? G... G-something... s**t !

Painite sometimes couldn't stop words from falling out of her mouth, but usually it was harmless and mostly when she was happy or gloating. Right now it was the former, and she was smiling broadly.
"Yes! I've hung out with Ashley, and as Fluo, of course, we've trained," she kept her voice down, just in case, though at this hour the street was abolsutely empty. She was all smiles, "I'm Gently, Gently Ponsonby!"
She laughed.
"Well, this is a surprise! So you're... wow! That makes this even better. Now I know you in both places, huh?"
At least she didn't feel too bad for not recognizing him. Of course, they weren't supposed to know without being told or helped to guess, even with her own fellow Negas it was difficult. Corrupted senshi were even more difficult, she justified. Plus, what was with all the hair? She was sure he hadn't had it at the game store, she would have commented.
"At least now I know who to order sandwiches for next time I'm out. Save me having to split mine, especially when it turned out so wonderfully delicious." She laughed.

Alunite was still mostly dumbfounded, for the most part. What were the odds of this ? Seriously ?
Dude.
"Well, next time I'll be a gentleman, and I'll pay." He couldn't help it - her good humor was infectious, and he laughed. "Allright ? Maybe some tea, too, though... Ah, probably better not to go like this. There's something about men in skirts with hair that nearly goes to the floor and holes in their chests that draw attention."
There was just a slight bit of bitterness in that statement. It was still an annoyance, but slowly, he was getting used to it.

She gave him a bright smile and batted her eyelashes when he said he would pay next time, teasing the chivalry playfully.
"Will you? Charming!" She chuckled, breaking character not too long into. An actor she was, but she had never been too fond of the girly characters. Lacked bite, though they could sometimes be fun to play if they were airheads.
"You don't have to worry about being a gentleman. Chances are, I won't be a gentlewoman all the time, either, so we'll be even." She chuckled again, scrunching up the wrapper and napkin from her food and tossing it toward the near trashcan. It bounced off and, despite herself, she sighed and got up to get it and throw it out properly.
"You're probably right, though. The hair, definitely draws some stares," obviously much more than the hole in his chest. Truth be told, she found those holes on corrupted senshi fascinating. "Though, maybe if you braided it, wore it Leia style?"
She smiled at him, noting his tone and giving him a nudge.
