Personality Personality Traits☼ Creative:Living most of her life apart from parental supervision or support, Liarae learned from an early age that she had to entertain herself to abstain from idleness, something neither of her parents could abide by in their children. Imagining friends, or games or stories in their yard and gardens was her past time, teaching herself to think differently from many people. As she grew her creativity grew with her, adapting to give her unusual and new ways to get out of unwanted situations or problems. ☼ Active:Unwilling to remain unmotivated, Liarae is always on the lookout to do something with herself and always seeking some activity to keep herself moving. Though sometimes she can't make up her mind on what to do, or switches in the middle of an activity, she is always enthusiastic when it comes to joining in activities. This also means Liarae will either force or convince others to join her in activities if she feels like doing them, pulling on either her domineering or manipulative nature, or both if the instance presents itself. ☼ Manipulative:Liarae can use almost any situation to her advantage. She has a need to con people into doing what she wants. Call it an extension of her dominating nature, Liarae loves it when she can get her way, be it from someone else or in a battle sense, she will use any skills she has acquired to force her way. ☼ Fickle:In nearly everything she does, Liarae is liable to change her mind on a regular basis. No matter the situation, she can casually change her mind or choose to just ignore it entirely. The way she can change her position and blatantly, or even coldly, tell you she's doing it, and then change her mind again. Liarae isn't easy to get along with, partially for this reason, at least until you get to know her. ☼ Domineering:What anyone else would call tyrannical or overbearing, Liarae considers the most efficient way to get what she wants or needs. She will not hesitate to do what it takes to be her best, despite what it means for those around her or what she has to do for it. The easiest approach to a simple situation is to demand or threaten an answer acceptable to her, and the best way to make sure no one can use her, is to take over the lives of everyone else. Hobbies☼ Sketching:An artful outlet, Liarae enjoys sketching things she sees. If something strikes her fancy, she will pull out her sketchpad, which she carries everywhere with her. She enjoys profiles, landscapes and anything else she can sit and look at for long periods of time. Generally, she prefers landscapes however, especially if she can find different or unusual vantage points for things people pass every day without noticing. Liarae has sketchbooks full of her art stashed into her room, with a few of her favorites on her walls. However, Liarae never goes on to paint her artwork, feeling it takes away from the feeling of freedom sketching, and that finished product, brings by adding color to it. She also feels it stops the creative process if the imagination can't supply the colors. Usually she is possessive of her art, but occasionally she will draw something specifically for another person. That is generally the only art she will give away, though she has no problem showing her hoards off. ☼ Xiangqi:A two-player Chinese board game that utilizes strategy, Xiangqi is an outlook on war that forces each player to conquer their opponent. Liarae was originally forced into the game with her older brother, as their father wanted to boost his intelligence and wit. The effects on his daughter he was less concerned about, as she was simply the only opponent always available to play against him. Liarae, however, found a natural talent in strategy. Soon she was forcing her brother to play with her instead, much to his irritation as he found he could never beat her. She still plays as often as she can find new victims to play with, servants, family and friends alike, strengthening her strategical skills. ☼ Tai Chi Chuan:Usually shortened to Tai chi, this ancient Chinese art form is a martial art used generally for the technique and longevity. It is usually slow paced, though each form has a faster pace. The training and discipline keep Liarae balanced and focused, and the challenge of faster and slower pacing helps her with her weapons-work as well, not to mention her other types of training. Liarae uses Tai chi as a means to center herself, keep herself limber and find a different outlet for her creativity and free time so she does not find herself tiring of her regular training ritual. Liarae is hard pressed to dedicate herself however, when something else draws her attention away it normally comes down to what she feels like doing at that moment. This means that Liarae does Tai chi when she feels like doing Tai chi. ☼ Chain Training:Liarae's final hobby is training with her weapon of choice, the chain. Normally, she switches between a whip or the chain to make sure she can work with anything she can grab ahold of in case her chain is unavailable. Time for this is set aside everyday, as her favorite weapon is not something that is easy to wield and therefore takes a lot of work and effort to use effectively. However, Liarae doesn't always make it to these practice sessions, deciding she isn't in the mood. There are also times she will leave in the middle of any training session to find something else to do that will entertain her more. She does stay enough to learn proper use of her weapon, however, and her parent's don't seem to mind or pay enough attention to have any problems with her choices on this matter. The good choices, or the bad.

History Liara's story goes back further than her birth as her parent's were promised to each other as children themselves. Although Amolika and Taj were too young to understand what it meant to be engaged, they knew that they got along. As they grew the concept became easier for them to understand. While they were not sure about the prospect of never being with any other person, they were not unwilling to remain with each other for the rest of their lives. Both families owned land and as a result, when the arranged marriage arrived, Amolika's father offered her husband-to-be a good portion of his own land as her dowry. Taj, the only son in his family, became quite wealthy after this and was proud of his new prosperity. They lived together happily, enjoying the birth of their first child, a much hoped for and adored son. Then Taj began to change, realizing he could make a lot more money by raising taxes on his lands and keeping his rule over the people living there both strict and firm. This changed the family dynamics, and while it raised the wealth and prosperity everyone within the household felt the differences. He became a man nearly impossible to please as greed slowly overcame him. As their son began to grow, Taj realized he wanted another son to take over with his brother, so life would be easier for them. It didn't take much convincing to get Amolika to agree, she wanted always to please her husband despite that he always seemed to be away. Running the household, giving orders to their servants and hosting parties was her business, but pleasing her husband was her life. When a daughter was born, Taj was disappointed. Amolika however, was pleased knowing she would be able to raise a child to learn the womanly ways and marry wealthy, moving their family up even further in the economy. It took time for them to choose a name, however, and knowing women were supposed to be seen and not heard, the name Liarae, meaning “whisper”, was chosen. Liarae was also a much quieter infant than her elder brother had been. Taj decided when his daughter was born he wanted no real part in her life except to see her become a woman to marry off. Amolika was not much better. She wanted her daughter to grow into a perfect lady, but left the raising of her to tutors and her personal servants. Growing up, Liarae knew little about parental love. Lohit, however, knew all about it, being the perfect son. He went everywhere with his father, learning the family business, and taking after him. Between Liarae and her brother, nothing much was ever said, except perhaps for a snide remark from him or a comment on her clothing, hair or anything else relating to the things he had learned from their father were perfect lady-like qualities, qualities Liarae did not seem to possess. Growing up, however, they had been friends at an early age. Lohit enjoyed his sister's company, they played games together, and until Lohit began joining his father on outings on a regular basis they were the perfect brother and sister. During her younger years, Liarae's only friend was her brother. When he was removed from her, when he began to change, Liarae lost the only person near her age she had any close ties to. She became sheltered, but she also began to demand her own way. Hating that she now had no one, Liarae began forcing the servants to spend time with her. Until she reached her teen years, the servant's in her home and her tutors were her only friends, and they always did whatever she demanded. Due to this personal neglect, Liarae learned her early studies from her tutors, and the tasks behind running a household, aside from the orders given, from her servants. The cooking, the cleaning, she learned it all, but her mother was always there giving orders, demanding her daughter learn the womanly things, not the things menial laborers were meant to do. When she was at home, she heard from her mother about the proper way to do things, and from her tutors how to do the things society deemed correct. Always when her father returned he re-instilled in her how independence was an important trait in a man, how orders weren't meant for men and how the Emperor and Legionaires did nothing but dictate and demand more than anyone could give. That was why he joined the Noble's cause as it rose, and while he told his son every day that they were in the right and he needed to be a strong independent man of his own, he told his daughter that she would one day be honored to serve a man like that if she was lucky. Everywhere she turned, Liarae didn't seem to measure up to her parent's expectations, so she left home as often as she could, enjoying her own independence, always plotting the best times to leave and return without getting caught for being out of the house alone. Instead of trying to force her way into her families hearts, Liarae decided to find her own path. After a time, pleasing her parent's took a backseat to her desire to strategize, to being alone and to the hobbies she found with help from her tutors. She did pick up traits from her parent's, and she knew she learned more from her father than she wanted to. She attributed her faults to him, and it made her dislike him even more than his neglect and chauvinism could. However, she gave her credit for her life to herself, knowing only she could change what she felt needed changing within.

Family Ties Family Name: Dey ☼ Taj Dey (Father)Taj means “crown”. He is in charge of the lands he inherited by birthright and as a dowry from his wife's family. As the head of the household, Taj takes his name seriously. He is in charge within his household, and makes sure it remains that way. He is a man that is easily angered, and when crossed makes sure whoever crossed him suffers. His taxes are high, but no one questions him, as he can be ruthless and is feared. Though Lunarian, he takes his heritage from Chinese traditions. ☼ Amolika Dey (Mother)Amolika means “priceless”. A beautiful woman as a girl, Amolika grew up with a soft nature which she passed on to her daughter. Amolika is probably the only person that holds no real fear of Taj, however she knows it is the duty of the wife to please her husband, and she takes that seriously in everything she does. Amokika takes her heritage from Bangladeshi traditions. ☼ Lohit Dey(Elder brother)Lohit means “of red color”. Red can symbolize strength, and that is why Lohit was given the name he was. He is built strong as well, with muscles and a stout physique. Lohit learned mostly from his father, and has learned that with responsibility comes demand for respect. He enjoys making money, and wants to take over his father's lands when he is old enough.

Noble Allegiance ☼ Why noble? ☼She was raised as a noble. As a child she was taught from that the way of life they knew wasn’t as it should be, and that changes had to be made. In time she will grow to find her own reasons for following this alliance. ☼ Fighting Style ☼Using a longer weighted weapon Liarae out ranges her opponent's, using the distance to her advantage. She can also bring the fight in close when necessary and deal with her enemies that way. ☼ Type of Magic ☼Weapon Projection Magic ☼ Specifics ☼Liarae will learn many things to do with her weapons and magic, but she focuses her learning on the morphing of her weapons material into anything she chooses them to be. It could be an element or specific type of metal or wood. She isn't the best at it yet, but it is where her main training in magic lies. Specifically, Liarae uses mainly elemental magics. From infusing her chain with lightning for a "shocking" strike, to transforming the chain itself into wood and allowing fire to engulf it without burning it, she is a force to be reckoned with. These are just a few examples of what she can do with her weapon magic. ☼ Weapons ☼{Fighter} ~ { Kusari Fundo} Locked; Known as the “angry chain”, which is a weighted 4'6" chain weapon. It is a medium range weapon, and can be used to strike, snare or entangle an enemy or their weapon. {Captain} ~ { Kusarigama} Locked; Called a “chain sickle”, this is another chain-based weapon that has a kama, or sickle, attached to one end and a heavy iron weight at the other end. It would look something similar to that, but with a more girlish flair. {Tenryujin} ~ { Double Bladed Kusarigama} Locked; A Kusari-gama with sickle’s at both ends, instead of a weight at one end.
