Rise Against -- Re: Education Through Labor

The arena went dark and multiple flashing white lights filled the stadium. The lights synced up with the bass line until the pace picked up and all the lights went on, an white pyro display going off on the stage. When it died down, the returning Mike Landry appeared on the stage. The previously mixed reaction was now almost completely one sided with cheers towards the Innovater.

To the sound of a heartbeat pounding away
To the rhythm of the awful rusted machines
We toss and turn but don't sleep
Each breath we take makes us thieves
Like causes without rebels
Just talk but promise nothing else

We crawl on our knees for you
Under a sky no longer blue
We sweat all day long for you
But we sow seeds to see us through
Because sometimes dreams just don't come true
We wait to reap what we are due

"The following contest is scheduled for one-fall! Introducing first: from Seattle, Washington, weighing in at 245 pounds, The Innovater, Mike Landry!"

Landry marched straight down the ramp with fire in his eyes and purpose in his step. He jumped straight up onto the apron in a single vertical leap, sliding through the ropes and jumping up onto the turnbuckle. He scans the audience before hitting his classic "Neo Hurricane" pose before hopping down and watching the stage, waiting for Disciple. This would be their first truely one-on-one matchup with no one else involved, and it was Disciple's first match without the title. Everyone was about to see how he reacted.

Suddenly the arena went pitch black. Only the few flashes of the fan's cameras lit up the darkness. Then from the shadows a voice was heard.

All Rise...

Instantly the crowd blew up, nearly jumping to the feet with the fists held high.

Smoke began to pour out from the back and bellow out from a few points on the stage quickly covering the stage and ramp with a thick layer of smoke. The towering figure of Disciple could be seen walking out from the back from underneath the flashing lights and smoke. For the first time since losing the title. The crowd stared at Disciple like a ancient wonder of the world. Disciple then began his slow march down the ramp towards the ring. Disciple walked up the steel steps, and onto the apron. He easily stepped over the top rope and into the ring as he stared down Michael Landry. Without his Uncle there, Disciple seemed more focused. A strange state seeing how Nathanial has been the man behind his rise to prominence in the WWE:E. Disciple ripped his hood from off his masked head, and then removed his trenchcoat with intensity, his blank gaze never leaving Landry. The Dreadnaught then made his way over to the corner, and gently, and carefully laid his trenchcoat where his Uncle would normally stand. Disciple stared at the stop Nathanial would be, his hands gripping the top rope, it almost seemed his was in morning as he stared at the empty space. He then took a deep breath and returned his focus to Landry. Then with out caution he stepped towards the middle of the ring, a feeling through out the crowd began to grow. The match had better start soon, or Disciple would start with out the bell.

Landry knew Disciple harboured incredibly ill-will for the actions he took against Creed, but he felt they were necessary. If Disciple would be able to win this match, then Landry would be proven right and he would no longer be needed here. However, if Landry himself were to win, then he keeps his job and Creed is gone forever.

Despite the torturous pain in his imminent future, Landry felt this was a win/win situation.

Landry decided not to rush into the attack, as Disciple would likely be able to overpower him with ease. Instead he circled the ring, light on his feet and very warey of Disciple's attack.

((Auto...hit? Kinda?))

Disciple rushed in for a clothesline and Landry ducks, trying to lay into him with some quick rights to the head to put him off balance.

((Well this is upsetting...will write better ending later))

Long battle, Disciple has Landry down and begins climbing the pole for the prize. Landry leaps back up and springs off the top rope and knocks him off with a dropkick. Landry lands chest first on the top cornerpost and the audience cringes with him, but he gets up and climbs the pole to pull down the prize and win the match.

~This is the better, somewhat planned out ending.~

Disciple and Landry had been battling it out for nearly a half hour. As of now Disciple was in control. Lifted Landry off the mat, he grabbed him by the wrist and whipped him into the turnbuckle had a ladder leaned up against it. Landry was flung over to the corner, his back and shoulders colliding with the steel rungs of the ladder. He arched his back in pain as he gritted his teeth. His knee still hurting from earlier, Disciple charged in, looking to crush Landry between himself and the ladder.

However Landry pulled himself out of the corner, and let Disciple crashing into the steel contraption. Disciple laid against the steel ladder, as one hand kept him from falling to the mat, the other tended to his knee that at managed to collide with one of the steel rungs.Landry took this opportunity to try and take the monster out. He quickly took a few steps back and charged forward, he came at Disciple with a dropkick to The Dreadnaught's knee, forcing the behemoth to the canvas. Disciple rolled on his a**, as he gripped painfully at his knee. The sound of muffled groans of pain could be heard emanating from behind Disciple's mask. Landry got back to his feet and grabbed the ladder, tipping it over and leveling it on the ground. He took one side of the ladder and lifted it, and grabbed Disciple leg and placed it in the ladder. Landry took both hands and threw his arms to the ground with all the strength he could muster, smashing Disciple's knee in the ladder. Now The Dreadnaught was screaming in pain, and was pretty noticeable over the crowd.

Now was the time, Landry left Disciple's leg in the ladder as he looked over to the corner with the pole. He then staggered over to the corner, and began to climb. On the top turnbuckle and just mere inches away, Landry's progress forward was halted. Nathanial Creed had crawled out from under the ring, and got on the apron, just as Landry was about to grab the contract, and swung his cane with all his might, hitting Landry right in the back of the right knee. Landry was taken off the turnbuckle, and crashed back first on the mat, now gripping at his knee. Nathanial still a bit hurt from the previous attack, got into the ring, and went to unleash a flurry of cane strikes over Landry's torso, arms, head, and legs. Landry was pummeled by Nathanial's attack and couldn't do a thing about it. After quenching himself on Landry, Nathanial made his way over to his Nephew, and began to try and get him to his feet, However Disciple's knee was badly damage, and getting to his feet was a lot harder then usual.

It took a few moments, but Disciple had gotten to the ropes, to help him try and get up, plus with help from his Uncle, it was about to happen. However Nathanial must not have been as strong as he hoped cause The Heartbreaker was getting back to his feet. Nathanial wasn't aware at all as he struggled to lift the massive relative. Him being hurt wasn't helping either. Just as Disciple about to stand, Nathanial's hurt began to race. He felt the hand of Landry on his shoulder. Without a word, Nathanial was spun around, and hit with a powerslam. Landry quickly bounced back to his feet after slamming Nathanial and looked to Disciple. "This is for the best!" Landry screamed, as Disciple was once again on his a**, not able to stand or make his way over there in time to do anything. Landry grabbed Nathanial by his shirt collar, and drug him to his feet. Soon enough he hooked him in a single underhook double knee gutbuster, The Heartbreaker! Nathanial was leveled, and showed no signs of life besides the slight breathing. After leveling Nathanial, Landry made his way over to the pole to claim his prize. Disciple tried to stand up in anger, and frustration. He was mad over the fact he could do anything to save his Uncle, or win the match by stopping Landry where he stood. Disciple tried to claw his way over to Landry but he was too big for his own good. Landry with an exhausted body, climbed the turnbuckles, and reached up to grabbed the contract. It only took a moment, and Landry managed to remove the contract from it's wire, signifying Landry as the winner.

After Landry had vanished to the back, Disciple was helped to the back it took a team of people to help him walk to the back just due to his size, it was like moving a sedated rhino. However Nathanial was left in the ring. As the crowd wondered what would happen now, the lights went out. Engulfing the arena in darkness, if only for a moment. However that all the time it would take for Nathanial to vanish.
