 Amenophis was burning up, it had to be one-hundred degrees and if not it sure felt that way. His gold accessories didn't seem to make him feel any better. They seemed to be magnets that were attracting the heat of the sun. He wanted to cool down so he moved from his shade under a rather large tree and got into the warm water. It wasn't much help but it did soothe his warm skin just a bit. A heavy sigh escaped his lips as he began to relax in the water.

 Nokomis had been out flying under the warm sun. Though she was more of a night owl she did enjoy the day just as much and the weather had been very pleasant and it just felt like a good day for a fly over the Kawani lands. She flew around for a few hours enjoying the clean spring air, but she soon grew thirsty and decided she'd rest her wings. She landed in a clear spot in the forest and walked a short ways hoping to find a small pond or river. The bells jiggled lightly as she walked, but she soon came to a stop when her ears picked up the sound of water. It sounded like a light splash in the distance, but she figured it was maybe a fish breaking the surface. She started to walk in the direction she heard the noise and as she got closer she could see the water and it looked as if someone was taking a dip. She stood between two trees and looked over the area when a rather strong gust of wind swept through she ducked her head slightly as the wind blew her hair in her face and caused her bells to sing. When the wind died down she shook her head to straighten her hair back down and smiled gently at the stallion that was in the water. "I hope Im not intruding, I was just passing through."

Amenophis was startled when he heard the sound of bells but even that sound seemed to soothe him. "Oh your not intruding at all." He informed the beautiful mare, she was really stunning and his heart seemed to race when he looked at her. "I was just trying to cool off, with the gold it makes me extremely hot." He decided he should probably explain why it was that he was standing in the water.

She smiled and moved closer to the male. "Gold? Oh I see, that could certainly weigh one down and produce more heat, I don't blame you for wanting to cool of." She moved to the edge of the water and bent her head down to take a drink. She sighed in delight as she raised back up. "I was in need of refreshment I've been out flying all mourning. The weather has been so nice, it was hard to resist. Oh forgive my manners, my name is Nokomis." She gave a happy giggle and bowed her head in greeting to the stallion.

Amenophis nodded his head in agreement when she said that the gold would weigh one down. "Flying must be really nice." He said, he day dreamed of the wind against him and cooling him off. "It is a nice day but I like cool days better, makes me feel better." He told her and then drank from the water himserlf.

She smiled at him again and sat by the waters edge and looked up to the sky seeing the pale shape of the moon almost hidden in the blue sky. "I do like cooler days as I find them more comfortable like the night. Im usually more of a night owl, I rise with the moon, but every now and then I enjoy her sister sun. I enjoy flying at night, close to the moon...flying can be a joy. I guess I am blessed for that, but I also like walking among the trees. Its all so peaceful."

Amenophis imagined her soaring in the night sky, he wondered if she was just as beautiful in the night's light. He shook his head and tried to form a response in his mind. "I can't possibly be a night owl like you said, I sleep like a log at night." He didn't have a clue why he was being so open with her. He dismissed the thought as fast as it formed and figured he should ask her something. "What do you like to do for fun?" He couldn't figure out why that was the question he wanted an answer to but he figured it was in the back of his mind wanting to know the answer.
