Marc had left the note on her bag in the great hall. He was panicking... His parents now wanted him to learn to dance. How stupid... he and Clare would be expected to open the party with a waltz. Marc didn't dance... Marcellus Ivory Adair, had taken lessons and slept through them... Thus... Marc... did not... With a capital NO... Dance.
Thus the note he left Clarissa said to meet him in this room to devise a plan on how to get out of this. He ran his hands through his hair and waited... not very patiently... for her to get herself into the deserted class room.

Clarissa returned to her bag, only to find a note from Marc. What does he want now? She sighed, and with a curt wave to her friends, walked out of the great hall. Clarissa walked down to the dungeons, where most of the empty classrooms were, and located the correct room. She looked around her, checking to see if anyone was following her. Glad to see no one was following her, she slipped into the room. "What now, Marc?" she frowned, walking over to a desk and setting down her bag.

Clarissa came through the door and he was never so glad to see her. He rushed over and wrapped his arms about her. He was sure he would get hit and was ready for it if it came. Letting go he watched her. "Do you know how to waltz?... "It never occurred to him that she wouldn't know... Her parents were of good enough standing his father accepted them to do business with... so she was of a caliber that should have been given dance lessons."I need you to teach me before break... My parents put me through classes but i never payed attention... and now they are setting up that we will open the dance over the vacation... "

Clarissa was startled by his hug, and yelped. "God, give me a warning at least! And none of that here!" she checked the door, as a precaution. Satisfied to see no one was spying, she turned back to Marc. "Um.... Yes? I stopped taking lessons a few years ago... I guess I remember..." she frowned. She was going to have to teach him... Clarissa made herself comfortable on top of a desk, preparing for a long afternoon.

He raised an eyebrow at the fact that she didn't reach out and smack him for being so forward. "Sorry... im just a little on edge... My parents paid good money for my lessons and if they knew i hadn't gone... then... well I would probably not ever reach my 12th birthday... let alone my 18th."
"Alright i remember the VERY basics. Like its in three... And...." He reached out and took her hand. "I remember how to stand... and i remember i am supposed to lead... I guess... I need the polish to make it look civilized.."

"And that would be a bad thing?" she smirked. "And I wouldn't be too torn up about it. They've probably earned that money back and more with all that land they got from us." she shrugged. He was rich, like her. Wether or not he chose to acknowledge the fact was up to him. Clarissa sighed. "Alright, it's much easier to learn on your feet than to listen to me talk all day, so that's what we're going to do." she stood, frowning. She didn't want to have to tutor him, but if she made him mad, it was one letter to his parents that could get her pulled out of Hogwarts, and that was something she was going to make sure wouldn't happen.

He smiled at her humor."It would be a bad thing for me... maybe not you..." Shrugging he sighed. "Yeah... they do probably have the money back by now... However, that doesn't change the fact that we have to open the coming dance..."
He grinned "ok... lets just run through quick and then polish after." He placed his hand on her back and the other in her's He counted. "One...two... three...One, two, three...."
He started with his right foot forward. He was still counting. He remembered that he needed to control the pressure on her back to let her know what he was doing.

Clarissa kept to the one-two-three beat, like she had been taught to, watching Marc's movement and noting imperfections. She continued dancing for a few minutes, then stopped him. "Well, I have to say I agree with you. You know the moves, it just needs some polishing to make it look presentable." she smiled, happy that he knew most of what he was doing, and she wouldn't have to teach him much.

"Alright..." He took a step back. "So where should we start on the polishing?" He was still thinking that he wasn't good enough to dance the night off. And at the moment... he wasn't. His father was going to kill him....

"Well, right now, I think we should stop and look at all of the things that actually need work, then decide what to work on and when. First off, when you step you make the steps a tad too big, but that shouldn't be to hard to change. You also need to make sure you know where your feet are, because you stepped on my feet a few times. You need to watch your feet while we practice so you can get the hang of the moves." she looked at the clock, and jumped slightly. "Cripes, I've got charms in five minutes. We'll pick this up tomorrow, but for now I've got to go." Clarissa grabbed her bag and started towards the door.
((Going to end this a little early because of the Von x Clarissa RP <3 ))
