Quinn was sick of winter; sick of stuffing the boys into layer after layer of clothing, sick of the cold and the snow, sick of being stuck indoors, sick of all the dead plants, just sick of winter. So, she took it apon herself to create a mini vacation for herself, her children and any of the Changelings caretakers that might want to come along.
That was how she found herself on the beachs of Gambino, slathering her children with suntan lotion and setting up her blanket and umbrella. At least there was always one place on Gaia that maintained an air of relative warmth even while the rest of the world was cloaked in snow. The child swimming area was a private natural pool, only about 1-3 feet deep, depending on where you were, and seperated from the main body of water by a large sand shoal.
Quinn sat with her legs dipped in the water, Moss in the water between her legs, while Belen frolicked happily, swimming more freely than his bathtub jaunts at home allowed him to. He was already amassing quite a collection of shells and beach glass on the sand next to his family. Moss gnawed happily on a conch.

"C'mon!"
One would expect the enthusiasm of a child to actually come from the child Changeling who trailed with Amparo far behind the one who the call came from: Jonathan. Despite his elderness, Jonathan was eager to get into the water and splash around like an idiot.
Amparo and Antonio thought the same thing at once, without realizing it: Such a child. Antonio looked over at his guardian and smiled lightly. Amparo saw, and returned the smile, walking across the sand. Finding a spot that Amparo liked, Antonio helped her set up the towels for the three of them, and the umbrella.
Antonio shrugged his shirt off, now remaining in a pair of swimming trunks that were black, and seemed to melt into his skin tone. He stretched out on the towel lazily, not worrying too much about the sun.
Amparo tossed him a bottle of suntan lotion nonetheless, and Antonio slathered it on after a cold glare from Amparo, who was slathering on the lotion as well. Antonio realized with a cringe that Amparo's bathing suit allowed the visual of much more skin than he ever wanted to see on a woman. Especially his guardian. Ick.
Amparo got up after a second, and went after Jonathan, who was frollicking in the water like the big child he was, laughing. Amparo wandered into the water, and joined in the splashing and playing they had gotten into.
Antonio simply watched from his spot, content to simply lay on the beach and soak up the nice, warm sunlight. It felt good on his shoulders, despite the damage it could do. Sometimes the most dangerous things were the most enjoyable.
