First off, don't panic. Take a second to breathe. Second of all, talk to him! I know, I might as well be saying 'Go sell all your things, write a novel, then go jump off a bridge', but it's the truth! Just try. If he's not interested, that's just life. But if you think about it, why would he care enough to talk to his friends about it or listen to the rumors? There's gotta be a reason. Ask him! Sure it's really awkward at first but you'll get over it. And MOST IMPORTANTLY, don't use his friends as a medium to talk to him. It NEVER WORKS.
Ganbatte!

u giv good advice, but at my school, if someone asks someone out, or tells them face to face that they like him, then it spreads around school. When my friends got admirer messages, it went all around school, rumors started, and it was a frensy to find out who wrote it. When they found out, well, it went ugly...

Find him and confront him that the rumors or what you said isnt true. That you still really like him and that you didnt mean for this to get back to him.
