Some time had passed since his return and Shun had gone and confonted his father. The man was not all too happy, but he decided to keep him alive, seeing how he had managed to prove himself to not be so useless as far as combat went. He was not to be without punishment, but the elder Kuroda had yet figure out what that was to be. In the meantime, he was to take jobs as usual.
This particular night, he was to go after a young woman in her early twenties. For a reason Shun didn't care to look into, someone wanted her gone and was willing to pay a fair sum for the deed.
Looking over the pictures he received, he could see it was a fairly attractive woman with layered blonde hair. She had a tendency to wear a blue bucket hat of sorts, had green eyes and a fairly slim figure. According to the information he received, she always went shopping around town every Saturday night. He would have to do a bit of hunting, but it shouldn't be too hard for him to find the girl. The assassin moved from rooftop to rooftop, keeping a keen eye out for anyone that fit the description.
If he was lucky, she'd be in a more secluded area. If not, he'd just have to tail her until he could snag her into an alley or something along those lines. Either way, the job was a simple one.

What a lovely coincidence.
"I love a man with blonde hair... Though it's definitely not as pretty as mine." Chirped a woman who very accurately fit the description in a high-pitched voice, clinging to Desmond's arm as if he'd fly away the instant she let go... Which he definitely might've if he wasn't so hungry.
"Ah, um. Thank you." Was it a compliment? Hell if Desmond knew.
"Say, you're not in the high school around here, are you? I mean... You look pretty mature if you are... And I'm no cougar." She couldn't help but giggle as she spoke that... Which was worse than her just speaking. "No, of course not. Could a high schooler think of so many intricate ways to describe your beauty?" He cooed, almost disgusted by his own words. At the moment, they were walking out of the mall he'd managed to find her at. His intent was to direct her down the nearest alley and drain the b***h... But this was painful. He'd had some... Interesting finds before, but she was a killer.
"Ohh, you're so cute. I always draw in the cuties. Did you know I graduated top of my class in a prestigious private school? Much better than the dump of a school they have around here. I also went to ballet school and played the lead role in The Swan Princess. I'm very good at dancing. Maybe... I could show you later."
Oh Christ. Desmond had to fight every urge to resist rolling his eyes. It was easy to tell when a woman was lying through her teeth, but this one didn't even try to conceal the fact. "Fascinating." Was the only compliment he could muster, spotting the closest dark alleyway he could find. Jackpot.

Before too long, Shun spotted a blonde woman in a blue bucket hat not too far off. It looked like she was with a man. Though, from where he was, he couldn't see that it was actually Desmond with her. Besides, he wouldn't exactly expect the vampire to be hanging out with some random woman like that. If anything he thought the guy was back at school or with Mitsu somewhere... as much as that thought bothered him.
All he really saw was the backside of some blonde haired dude anyway.
He tailed them for awhile, keeping a fair distance and waiting to see if the guy was going to be leaving any time soon. This didn't seem like it'd be the case. That didn't matter too much. It just meant he had to dispose of him as well if this kept up.
Luckily for the assassin, it seemed they were about to turn into a fairly dark alley. It seemed as good of an opportunity as any. So he quickly moved on ahead, going on towards that very alley. In the mean time, he lost sight of the pair, but that didn't matter to him. He knew where they were and if they didn't turn up where he thought they would, it wouldn't take too long to spot them again.

As the blonde woman continued spouting obvious lies about how successful and popular she was, Desmond's pace started to slow, until they were directly across from the alley.
"I can't take it anymore." Desmond interrupted her, making the girl look up at him with confusion.
What he meant was he hated listening to her speak... But. "I.. I need you. Right now." He declared, looking into her eyes with his deep cobalt eyes, reflecting nothing but seriousness.
"Oh... Oh my!" At first, she seemed shocked... But a little smirk overtook her face. "I like a man that's up front about what he wants." She admitted, looking towards the alley.
"Well, come along then my dear." Thank God that had worked.
Leading her a good way down until they reached a dead end, Desmond smirked and pinned her up against the wall. "You look like the kind of girl who likes it rough." Just a little more. Let her think that everything is alright.
"Rough? I'm a virgin, silly." Another blatant lie. "I'm sure you are." Desmond responded, pinning her to the brick with his own body as one of his fingers hooked the neck of her shirt to uncover her soft flesh. To which she giggled obnoxiously.
"What're you gonna do to me?" She tried to ask innocently. Desmond shot her one last glance, his eyes aglow. "I'm going to shut you up, of course." With that, he covered her mouth, making sure there was no chance she could escape. Her muffled screams were much better than listening to her talk, after all.
As soon as he knew she was secured, the vampire sunk his teeth into her delicate flesh, offering no gentle touch as he sometimes did to the people he felt sorry for. He... Definitely didn't feel sorry for this one.

Coming up to where the alley was, Shun glanced down into the darkness to see the two there as he expected. From his angle it looked like they were just about to get into some dirty business.. since he couldn't see that the man was actually biting into her neck. Well this should be easy in any case.
Drawing out his daggers, he scaled down halfway before dropping down next to the supposed love birds. He was just about to strike out, when he finally saw just who and what was going on here. This was Desmond. And he was... draining this woman.
Well this was unexpected. Enough that he ended up hesitating... and just held his dagger out in midstrike.

With as rough as he was, it didn't take Desmond long to get his fill... Though, he'd started feeling guilty about leaving women with nothing at all. Even these annoying little bitches.
When he was almost done, and he could feel her start to fade out, his grip loosened and he let her fall to the ground... Which is when he finally sensed the presence behind him.
Whirring around, his eyes widened when he saw it was...
Shun?!
With a dagger pointed at his torso...
"... Can I... Help you?" Desmond asked, looking down at the blade in an unamused fashion.

Shun was a little surprised to see the woman still breathing when Desmond pull away. It seemed that he also surprised the vampire with his presence.
"I was hoping you would save me some trouble and finish her off," he said nonchalantly while relaxing his daggers some. The assassin didn't seem very pleased to see Desmond here, but he wasn't about to attack him. Though a part of him wondered if it was really a good idea to have him as a witness...
Then again, if the vampire finished her, he would be the witness technically.

At first, Desmond just looked perplexed and unsatisfied with the answer he'd received from Shun... Until he remembered the little bit about the boy being an assassin. Oh, yeah. So there was that.
Looking back towards the girl on the ground, Desmond gave a shrug. "It was tempting, considering how obnoxious she is." The vampire admitted, wiping off a little drip of blood from his lip with his thumb.
He was tempted to say 'ah, what the hell. You're gonna kill her anyways.' but he wasn't just doing this because of the guilt. He was trying to repress his urges...Trying to resist his body... For Mitsu's sake. So if another day came when his stomach was empty, she wouldn't be in danger of losing her life. He wanted to keep her safe, not put her in more danger.
"Guess you gotta work for your money tonight." Desmond finally said, backing away from the girl so Shun could have at her. One more step to being a stronger person. He had to keep telling himself that.

Watching Desmond as he considered his options, the assassin was mildly surprised that he had declined. His eye narrowed momentarily, but over all he didn't really give a damn. Once the vampire had backed away, he quickly brought an arm up and stuck the dagger's blade straight into the woman's throat before she could slump down from being released.
In the next moment, he retracted his weapon and flicked the extra blood off of it.
"Do you lure women often?" He asked, not leaving just yet. There might have been a hint of malice in his voice seeing as he might have been referring to the Halloween incident as well, but it was hard to tell for sure.

Desmond turned away as Shun went through with his job, about to walk away and not cause a scene (like Mitsu probably would've wanted), but the assassin just had to take a stab at him (lol). "Usually whatever bites." (double lol) Desmond didn't realize his unintentional joke until it was too late, furrowing his brows at the word choice right there.
"What about you? Beat the s**t out of or kill people who don't fight back often?" He asked, glancing back to Shun with a nonchalant look. Better to let the guy think he didn't give a s**t about him being around then letting him know the mere sight of his being made Desmond want to strangle a baby.

Shun shot a glance at the pun Desmond had spewed out. Ironic.
"Mostly when people ask for it," he replied cooly. Whether he meant that people were asking for it as in they deserved it or it was an actual request was a little ambiguous. It went both ways really. The urge to stab right into the vampire was very much there, but he kept himself from doing that. Mitsu would likely never forgive him if he did something like that.

"Cute." Desmond said simply and shoved his hands in his pockets. "Well, if we're done paying the verbal abuse game, I'm sure we've both had enough of spending time in each other's presence." One thing the two of them usually agreed on is how much they couldn't stand being around one another. "Unless you've got something valid to say."

After glancing at his still somewhat bloodied dagger for a bit, Shun sheathed it and looked up the building he had dropped down from. His eye shifted back to Desmond soon after however.
"I could tell you that if you hurt Mitsu again, I'd kill you, but you probably already know this," he said. At least, the vampire should know that much.
