Where am I...? A small child slowly let his eyes open, squinting at the damp, cold walls around him.. Over a thousand years have passed since the last moments where he saw the sun.. When he awoke that time around, there was someone sweet waiting for him, someone who nurtured him like a mother would... And he hoped so hard with all he had that someone would be so kind to him this time around.. But.. What was this..? It was cold... Horribly cold...

With a grunt, he shifted his body, twisting to sit up. There was no real sounds around him, a soft murmur of something he didn't quite recognize, but it was faint, and seemingly from far away. This place.. It was so strange.. All around was cold stone.. He had to get out of here..

On wobbling feet, he stood, and found that his could not support him. Needless to say, a thousand sleeping years without food left him rather weak. Instead, he floated, finding this much easier to handle than walking. He rose up high, until he could rise no more, floating, trying to find the moonlight, or atleast some sort of sign of life.. Above him.. He heard something.. Something soft.. But it was something.. There must be a door somewhere, right?

Teival was roaming again, doing what he referred to as 'supplementing his diet' otherwise known as him hunting around for anything foolish enough to be found and cornered by him. He could care less what he cause so long as it was alive when he found it, he'd eat things that others would be more likely to see as vermin instead of snacks but it worked out since that left more for him. As it was the demon couldn't seem to stomach things that weren't meat leaving the meals in this place a bit wanting. Vegetables were nothing more then brightly colored decorations on his plate, bread was useful to hold the meat until he got it, and don't even get him started on the sickly sweet fruit that he saw on occasion. He wanted meat, the fresher the better, and that was what brought him down in the darker and less frequented areas of the place.

The need, along with the sound of skittering feet that could belong to any number of things, had him creeping along, eyes wide, seeking out the ones those footsteps belonged to, "Ahh, there you are." He murmured when he saw a rat go rushing out of its current hiding spot and deeper into the darkness. His lips twisted up into a pleased expression before he followed along after the vermin, it would make a good snack once he got hold of it, the size of it meant that he would possibly have a full belly as well. His hunting was interrupted though when something new was picked up on by his sensitive ears. Someone else was nearby? Had he been followed? He had thought that he was being careful but he could have been wrong... another patient perhaps or worse, hopefully nobody that meant to steal from him as it wasn't something that he would abide by.

A low, rumbling growl sounded from his throat before he turned to search the darkness for the one that was out there. He would find them, punish them for interrupting his hunting he thought to himself crossly. He didn't care for many people here, had yet to find anyone worth his time, which meant whoever was out there was likely someone he'd crossed seeking revenge... as though he would be caught off guard just because it was dark! His mind started to shuffle through those he'd angered in the passed, there was a list of them that was as long as his forearm, though the fact that he hadn't been attacked yet said that the one out there was a coward laying in wait to ambush him, that cut the list down substantially...

"I know your there, I can hear you breathing." He said, eyes narrowing as he started forward. He would flush the weakling out and show them why sneaking up on him was a bad idea!

Jera's eyes finally adapted to the dark, though that was just a little thing, for he could still barely see.. As he listened more, he could hear a door open, and someone stepping in.

"I am here.." He said softly, going towards the voice he heard. It was easily identifiable that he was young.. Was this the one who was supposed to be his friend this time around? "But.. Where is here..?"

His hands were extended in the dark, trying to find the person who found him, grasping outwards in search for him. To be honest, he hated the dark, unless it was outside. There were no stars in this unnatural darkness... It felt suffocating.

"C-can you help me..? I can't find you.."

Teival froze in place, all of him but his wings which were twitching now. That voice... that voice didn't belong here he thought instantly to himself, it sounded far to young, far to... wrong. He'd seen plenty of patients that lived in this place, those that varied in look, saw Doctors and Nurses, many people but never a child. Yet, the voice that was calling out to him was that of a youngling, it meant one of two things: The monsters that were in charge of this place were capturing children now or they had set a trap for him and were trying to lure him in using young bait.

He felt his hackles rising as he move slowly and cautiously toward the sound of the voice, a low growl rumbling in his chest as he got closer. He wasn't sure which possibility it was that he would find to be true but no matter which it was he would see what he could do for the little whelp. Not that he cared for anyone else other then himself mind you, it was more the idea that if anyone were going to devour the little one it would be him! He was after a Lord where he came from, he deserved to have first dibs at prey that had no way to fight back. Selfish creature that he was the whole of Teival's attention was now on capturing the one that was out there to claim as his own.

"Keep talking or I won't be able to find you." He said, doing his best to keep his tone neutral, to hide the excitement that was building up in him. How useful would it be to have a little creature to call his own? A servant, yes that was what it would be! He would be able to order this creature about, make it serve him, fetch and carry, it would be grand! Lifting one hand up he reached out in the direction the voice was coming from, grasping at the creature that he knew was out there hoping against hope that it wasn't a trap...

Afraid? Was he... He thought he should be.. He felt that this place, the people here, should be something he should be nervous around.. But even so, he couldn't really find himself being afraid of the person calling out to him. Over a thousand years had passed since he was last part of this world.. And he had yet to learn who to trust, and who to be scared of. Naive was perhaps the best way to describe the shaking child. What was he afraid of? Being alone. Utterly alone.

"Okay.. I hear you too.." Jera continued to move forward, before his hands came into contact with something fleshy and warm. "I.. think I found you.." Instinctively, he wrapped his arms around the big being that he had found in the dark, pressing his cheek to what he assumed to be the man's torso. He felt just a little safer in his arms..

"I'm Jera... Can you help me..? I want to get out of this darkness... I don't know where I am... I just woke up.."

Teival prepared himself for an attack as he got close enough to the smaller male, not about to drop his guard just because it was a child he was dealing with and then something absolutely unexpected happened, the thing was suddenly hugging him. The demon went still once more, starring down at where the one clinging to him was, and his wings set to twitching once more in distaste. Why, why was it hugging onto him? The simple answer was likely because it was small, small things were often clingy weren't they? A part of him wanted badly to knock the child away and snap at it that he was not to be touched in such a familiar manner. Instead he reminded himself that being to loud would only bring about unwanted attention.

"I might be able to aid you, for now though you must be quiet." It was on the tip of his tongue to tell him to shut up but that wasn't the best way to go about things when dealing with a little child. He didn't want for the kid to start to cry or anything else loud that they did when they didn't get their way, that would result in him either having to abandon the brat to his Fate or Teival having to knock him out so he would be quiet... neither of which he would hesitate to do if it meant saving his own skin, "Come along then." He murmured, taking hold of the child by the wrist, pulled himself free of his hold, then started back in the direction he'd come from. As they walked there was the sound of skittering feet, reminding him that he'd lost track of the rat he was following... a shame but at least he'd found something to replace it, though he doubted the kid would be much of a meal.

The demon was careful in the path he was taking, wanting to get out of the more dangerous areas, hoping to get back to his room without incident and as they walked along they started to get to areas that had better lighting, something that Teival saw as being worse then the darkness since it was easier to hide out in the dark then in the areas with light. Once reaching the light filled areas he quickened his steps, all but dragging his prize along in his haste to get back to his room.

The feeling of the body that he had hugged suddenly went stiff, and it caused Jera to smile, just a tiny bit. It must be one of the people who didn't like kids. He had met many people like that in his lifetime, but they were still nice to him.. It was at this point he realized that the man smelled.. Well, Funny. Like, if he hadn't been afraid, he would probably not hug him.

"Okay.." He whispered as he was pulled off of the older man and taken by the wrist, figuring out that he was going to be pulled along. A good thing, because it wasn't as if he knew where he was going. Instead of keeping on the ground, he figured he could stay quieter and move faster if he floated again..

The whole time, he kept his eyes set on the larger man's back, tilting his head. He had never seen a man like him before.. Wings.. Horns... Mostly naked.. It was strange.. His lips parted, as if getting ready to mention it, but instead, they closed once again, not wanting to cause a ruckus if the other deemed this place unsafe.

It was some long, tense moments later that they were arriving in what Teival would see as being the safest place in the hellhole, not that it was saying much. The ones that were in charge could come in at anytime if they so felt like it but at least the other patients stayed out of what he deemed to be his territory. Once they were within the room he nudged the smaller boy forward before he leaned against the closed door, wings aflutter.

The room was about average for this place, had a bed pushed up against one wall and on it was a blanket and a good amount of pillows. His small comfort in the place came from those so he'd become a bit of a pillow poacher, stealing them whenever he could from wherever he could. Aside from that the room seemed fairly empty, lacking things that would tie him to anyone outside, no pictures of his family, no pictures at all in fact. This was his lair, a safe haven, but nothing to grand at the moment. Perhaps when he grew stronger and was able to more efficiently take what he wanted.

"What are you doing in this place, brat?" He demanded instantly, taking a step toward Jera, trying to figure out what it was about this kid that made him so bad that he would be thrown in with the dangerous population and even more dangerous staff.

Jera immediately sat down on the bed, finding comfort in the pillows that lined it. He leaned back, his eyes closed for a moment.. The lights burned in a foreign manner.. While he was awake so long ago, such things did not exsist, the light was harsh and unwelcomed to him, but he was safe now, or atleast safer.

"I am not.. " He stopped, bitting his lower lip. It would be best if he held his tongue of any snapping words until he could figure out what the older man would do with him.

"I woke up here... I was asleep.. Under this place I get, hidden underground.. and then suddenly.. I woke up here.. " His words were whispered, not sure if he should be allowed to talk so loudly. Jera's gaze moved to meet the larger man's, and a look of curiosity filled him.

"My name is Jera.. Just Jera.. What is your name?"
PostPosted: Tue May 17, 2011 10:59 am

Teival seemed to be trying to translate what the words meant. He woke here? Down in that dark place where he'd found him? He supposed that it was possible that the demonic forces that ran this place had done something to the boy to make him fall asleep for a while, likely more like a chemically induced coma.... he wouldn't put it passed them to do such a thing to a child. Still, thathe would wake up on his own and the would just let him wander off. Seemed strange, but they might have already been done messing with the kid so they didn't care what happened to their little experiment.

"I see." He said, not sure what he thought of all of it but figured that what he thought about what happened to the kid before he met him didn't matter. What mattered was what he would do with him now... as to how to answer that he supposed he would invoke the 'finders, keepers' rule of this place. He'd found the kid so he got to keep him, a servant would be welcome as would someone to talk with that wasn't after something, picking a fight, or just annoying to the fact that Teival wanted to knock their teeth down their throat.

Turning the tall, dark skinned demon slid the lock on his door into place. It would keep out other patients but not so much the staff since they had the keys to this place. Instead he would hope against hope that none of them happened by at the moment. Walking forward he watched the kid as he crawled about on his bed, something he really should break him of like one broke a dog from getting on the sofa but he supposed he could be nice for at least the moment. After all the kid was likely fresh from being experimented on even if he didn't remember it.

"I am called Teival, Jera. Its a name you should brand into your memory since I am your Lord and Master now." He told him, giving him a pat on his head on top of the strange looking, puffy hat he was wearing.

Jera watched the man for a moment.. He seemed a little kind.. And he hadn't tried anything just yet... so it should be alright.. Right?

"Teival.." He tested the name on his tongue, and rather liked the way it sounded. But the rest, he made a face at.

"Lord and master? I think not! Who do you think you are, saying that I have to listen to you? I mean, I'm really really grateful you found me and helped me, but I don't think I owe you that much!" His eyes went wide as he felt his hat go flat, and he almost broke into tears.

"Don't do that!!! He cried out, swatting at the offending hand and quickly puffed the hat back to it's original shape. "You could have ruined it!"
PostPosted: Tue May 17, 2011 11:41 am

Teival plopped down on his bed, stretching out all over before looking over at the kid that was protesting the idea as though he actually had a say in the matter... something that the demon almost found amusing, "Believe me, Jera, your getting off light having me claim you. There are much worse people in this place that could have found you down there, you should be grateful." He told him in a matter of fact sort of tone. Surely the kid had to know what sort of danger he was in? He sure didn't act like it though, suddenly looking as though he might burst into tears over the fact that the goofy looking had he was wearing had gotten smashed...

"Really kid... are you going to cry about your hat? If so you really are going to get yourself devoured in a place like this." He said, seeming to be quite amused by it all. The way he took the goofy had off to try to get it back to its original star like shape made Teival struggle for a moment before his lips turned up into a grin and he gave a bit of a chuckle, "I think your better off without the thing, it looks a bit silly anyway." Who could account for the fashion sense of a child though, or anyone for that matter. The only reason that Teival wore as much as he did was because he was forced to wear at least a bit. Those in control here seemed to have issues with modesty, amusing since they didn't mind breaking all other boundaries.

He gave a little sniffle, putting his hat back on his head, then turning another slight glare on the man.

"Don't make fun of my hat! It's... Like a part of me, and sure it's silly looking, but I like my silly hat, thank you very much! And How dangerous could this place be? I have yet to even see someone else besides you. And like I said, I AM grateful you found me! I would have been lost down there for ever if you hadn't. But... I don't want to be under the command of someone else.."

He hopped off the bed, moving so that he could float towards the door, his stomach giving a soft growl. Now that he thought about it, it was over a thousand years since his last meal!

"I think.. I'll go now and Find some food to eat.. Thank you very much for your help, Mr. Teival, but I think I'll be fine." He gave the man a grin, then floated towards the door.

From the looks of him Teival really did appear as a bit of a lazy creature, he really would like to be able to play up that role as well, wanted to be just laze about comfortably in his room. At least as comfortably as one could lay around a place like this, his nature belied speed though... speed he didn't enjoy using since it meant flapping his wings rapidly to be able to move as fast as he needed. In this instance though he supposed that, for the sake of keeping his new servant from getting himself killed he would move...

The demon's hand slammed against the door above Jera's head just as he reached it and the demon gave a growl, "You are a little fool, do you really think I will just let you walk away so easily? It would be the same as me just tying a sign around your neck that says 'Fresh Meat'." He spat out at Jera, his temper rising as the brat seemed to so easily dismiss him and act as though he would be just fine on his own. He was certain now that whatever the Doctors had done to this kid had apparently addled what little brains he had before hand.

"Your really are dumb if you think that you will last five minutes passed this door without proper protection. So how about you go and sit back down before you get yourself killed or worse." Because, in this place, there were worse things then death.

"What makes you think this place is so bad?" Jera glared up at the man above him, turning around so that his back was to the door, and he was all but pinned against it. It irritated him that this man thought he was so week as to he was unable to take care of himself..

"I've seen many many different people.. And I'm not the brightest, but I think I can handle myself, I'm not some ordinary boy, I am Jirachi, the wish granter! I'll be just fine, okay? And I don't serve ANYONE, thank you very much!" The man was intimidating, sure, but he had seen worse! He bet that that man had never looked straight into the eyes of a Gyrados on rampage, or seen a seen the war between the Sevipers and the Zangoose.

"Now if you could, I'd appreciate it if you showed me the way out of here."
