It had been a few days now since she'd seen extended an offer of help to Alba at the restaurant after their run-in with his ex-wife, and Claire had finally gotten around to scheduling a meeting to train. It wasn't that she was lazy, oh no - she simply wanted to let her hip recover a bit more before she stood for an extended period. She also needed to e-mail Alba to finalize a good time for the pair to meet again, namely whenever he wasn't working. It wasn't hard to find a time, so about an hour or two after lunch, Claire found herself waiting in one of the empty training rooms with the door propped open so Alba could find her easier.
She was currently leaning against the wall, a happy Growlithe at her feet with the top curve of something navy-colored sticking out from the fluffy cream fur of her chest between her paws. Her big bushy tail was thumping against the floor as she panted, ears perked and waiting to see what they were doing. Odette was flying laps in the spacious room, while Zeus was running laps with Alexina. Blue was also running laps, but to her it was a game of chase to try and catch up to the two older pokemon to pounce and chew on them.

Okay, it had to be around here somewhere, right? Maybe he was on the wrong floor? No no no, he had definitely passed what looked like a training room five minutes ago. Maybe the time was wrong? No, he knew very well that he was now running late by a few minutes. Alba backtracked to a partially opened door he had at first passed. Peeking in, he was finally able to breathe out of relief. "Sorry I'm late," he said, knocking on the inside of the door as he stepped inside. On his left shoulder was perched Twitch. On the right, Spook, looking as curious as ever. "I hope you weren't waiting too long?"

She turned towards the door as he knocked and stepped in, offering a small wave as she did so. "No, don't worry about it. I was just having them warm up," she gestured towards the three on the ground and one in the air, though Artemis was still on the ground cradling the something between her paws. Her tail thumped louder and faster against the training room floor, and she offered Alba and the two pokemon on his shoulders an excited bark in greeting. Claire ignored the fire-type and instead focused on the trainee. "Ready to start?" She asked, hands on her hips. Or one was, the other was noticeably higher than its twin for obvious reasons.

Alba smiled, if not a little nervously. This was either going to go very well, or very badly. Hopefully the former. "Ready as I'll ever be, I gue- Woah! Twitch!" Okay, maybe the latter. Twitch had finished looking at the immediate surroundings, and had finally moved on to looking upward... just as Odette had passed on another lap. Cue one very freaked out Pidgey now hanging from the back of his shirt, and a small collection of feathers floating downward to circle his feet. Never mind the shirt collar that would probably need repairing later, as well as possibly the shirt's back.
...Or his back.
Alba swallowed a pained sound as he pulled a face, wide-eyed, and stiffened through a shudder. "... ow..."

"Don't worry, it--oh," she frowned, watching Twitch - perfect name, really - freak out and hide behind him. She remembered Odette's talons when she was a Pidgey, and knew that that had to hurt. With a loud whistle she turned towards the Pidgeot up in the air, who had immediately upon hearing the whistle turned to glide down. Odette landed gracefully - as per usual - and moved to her trainer's side with a soft coo. Claire reached up to stroke the large bird's crest before returning her to her ball, then clipped it to her waist as she walked over to Alba. He might note her gait wasn't nearly as stiff as before.
"It's alright, she's gone," she said gently as she sidled up to one side of the trio, carefully reaching for the Pidgey at his back, one arm going towards his feet and the other for his upper body to try and coax him either onto her arm or back up onto Alba's free shoulder where he wasn't digging into his back.
