For the past week or so, she had been stalking pacing around the front of the monster dorms after her morning run, which was turning more into a run-jog-walk thing, waiting to see if she could accidentally run into a certain dragon. So far, she had ran into many students, but not the one she had been looking out for. Today, after pacing around for a few minutes, she decided to stop being creepy just end her misery.
The worst she could get is a 'no' right?
... Wow, that kind of hurt. Even if it was only a mere thought... She wasn't looking her best tonight; at least, not by her usual standards. A tank top and shorts, with a towel slung around her shoulders and her hair tied up into a ponytail - she didn't even bother to go back for a change of clothes. If she did, she would probably not come back, making up some excuse to procrastinate and postpone this trip for another day.
For example, 'perhaps after the pizza party'; a convenient excuse, but if she doesn't do anything now, its not like his answer will change within a few short weeks. A soft sigh left her lips as she stopped outside the dragon's door, hesitating before rapping on it. A pause followed as she inhaled sharply, refusing to let herself get too nervous.
"Jericho, you in?"

In the morning, Jericho did a number of things. Sometimes he played games before breakfast. Other times he worked out in his own room, just doing some core exercises and the like. This morning, he was doing just that. And as usual for when he did this, he was without his shirt. Even though he could take the extra heat, that didn't stop his humanoid body from sweating some as he worked so going shirtless was the best way to deal with that. He was in his own room and all.
The dragon was doing a number of pushups when he heard a light knock at his door. Pausing, he glanced towards it and heard Lizzy's voice from the other side. This immediately spiked his curiosity as he had to wonder what the demon would want at this time of day. Hopefully nothing was wrong.
"Yeah, I'm coming," he said while quickly hopping to his feet. Moving on towards the door, he opened it up and saw her standing at the other side, "What's up?"

His own room, yes, but Lizzy didn't know what Jericho did in his own room. She wasn't that much of a stalker. In fact, when the door opened and she was faced with a topless Jericho, Lizzy didn't know how to react. All the courage she had stored up escaped her as she stared. And stared.
And stared.
She recalled what Riley said about Jericho being a prime example of male anatomy, and her face turned completely red as she found herself mentally agreeing (again). Ughhh. Why was she even thinking about that right now?
"Hi!" She squeaked, forcing herself to look away, into his room rather than at him, "Uh... I-I'm not d-disturbing you o-or anything, a-am I?"

Seeing Lizzy's face go red, Jericho had to really wonder if something was wrong now. He wasn't sure if she had seen her so flustered before! The dragon hadn't exactly been topless around women too much, and even then they hadn't quite reacted like this so it wasn't the first thing that struck his mind. At least... not the sort of reaction she was having. he had a slight suspicion, but it wasn't quite for the right reason. Not yet at least.
On top of that, the demon had practically squeaked out her reply. Did he really look that embarrassing to see right now? He glanced down at himself to make sure there wasn't something weird on him at the moment.
"No, I wasn't really doing much. Is something up?" he asked once his attention went back to Lizzy.

How could he be acting so nonchalant about it? He was topless! In front of a ghoul! Then again, Mac did the same thing to her... Except they were at the pool so that was completely normal compared to the current situation she was in... Not that it stopped her from having a similar, but less dramatic, reaction at the pool.
Was it really a normal thing? Was she over-reacting?
"A-ah yeah..." She managed to look at him without freaking out as she nodded slowly, trying to calm down, "Uh, you f-free to talk right now? I was nearby and... Since I didn't see you since the island and in classes, I thought I would drop by to catch up... And stuff..." Her voice faded as her face reddened more; she wasn't exactly lying. She was nearby. And she did want to catch up...

Lizzy seemed to be having a bit of difficulty speaking at the moment. Furrowing his brow at this, he just shook his head to himself before addressing what she said with a grin.
"Oh sure thing. Come on in," he said before stepping back away from the door. Jericho turned about and went to grab a shirt in the meantime. He still had to wonder if there was something weird about him at the moment, but he didn't put much thought into it. Once the shirt was on, he turned back towards Lizzy.
"So how things been going for you then? Managed to get back into the swing of things alright?"

"Thanks..." She muttered, lowering her gaze to the floor as she walked into the room; one good thing about Jericho's room? It was always warm, just like him. She almost heaved a sigh of relief when he put on his shirt; this made him a lot easier to look at without her freaking out, or feeling embarrassed.
"Yeah... More or less," She nodded briefly, her blush fading, "Petro got me into running- uh, jogging." She smiled sheepishly, since 'jogging' was a more accurate description of her exercise, "And Riley suggested I join the fitness club instead, since I can't do much on my own... What do you think? And how about you? How have you been?"
Yes, small talk is good. Small talk is easy.

Once the shirt was on, Jericho noticed Lizzy managing to relax. He'd have to ask Riley sometime later if there was something weird about him. He would ask Lizzy as well but he had a feeling she wouldn't spit it out.
"Oh nice. Well you could always do both if you'd like. I'm helping Riley out with the club so if you need anything from there just let me know," he said amiably, "I've been alright for the most part as well.."
There was that bit of a struggle still, but it wasn't something that could be gotten rid of easily. There was a fair chance it would take a good amount of time before he really figured things out. The bulk of those troubles had waned at the least so it wasn't weighing him down so much any more. Instead it was just like a whisper in the back of his mind, reminding him of a few things.
"Just been kinda trying to get things back to normal I guess you could say."

"Yeeeaaaah," She definitely agreed with the 'getting things back to normal' part, although she could sense that there was something wrong judging from his comment. Then again, that was the case for many students after that field trip... Pausing momentarily, she managed a sheepish smile as her face started to redden again, "I will... Uh, if you need a listening ear for anything, I'm free too!"
Part of the reason for her joining was because of him, after all. Not that she was going to tell him that.
"Oh! Riley taught me the basics of D&H too!" She decided a change of subject was necessary; besides, didn't the Mindflayer say something about him liking the game? Her face lit up before she quickly pouted, tilting her head, "The dice seems to hate me at times though..."

"I'll be sure to keep that in mind," Jericho said with a soft smile. His golden eyes soon lit up at the mention of D&H. However, that light disappeared as he realized what this meant. While it was nice Lizzy had gotten into it, for Riley to have taught her the basics... it meant that a session had to have been held.
... A session that he hadn't been invited to.
Riley held a D&H session without him. He had been left out.
That was kind of disheartening and kind of irritating at the same time. She should know how much he enjoyed the game! Having an extra player couldn't have hurt. The dragon made a note to bring this up to the mindflayer later as well.
Quickly snapping out of this line of thought, he looked back at Lizzy and chuckled lightly, trying not to look too distracted.
"Well the dice gods can be pretty fickle at time as they say," he said, "Sometimes they just don't want to give us the rolls we need."

"Good!" She said in her best 'you better!' voice, although her being distracted with thoughts of the previously shirtless Jericho did not help her sound convincing. She smiled when the mention of D&H seemed to cheer him up, even if it seemed... Momentarily? Did she say something wrong?
"I didn't expect Riley to teach me the game when I went to see her," She smiled sheepishly, tugging at the end of her towel as she looked down at her fingers; then again, she didn't expect a lot of the things Riley said to her that day... She thought it would just be a normal ghoul talk, or even a meeting to get to know each other better.
Well, at least the latter was still somewhat true.
"Oh? I suppose... I rolled a 4. Out of 20..." She couldn't help but tilt her head at his comment before giggling softly, musing out loud, "You don't suppose these dice gods could be bribed, do you? Like... With a chicken offering. Or a duck offering." It was difficult to tell if she was just joking, or being serious. While there was a bemused grin on her lips, her tone suggested that she was being perfectly serious.
She was also subconsciously picking on birds.

The little addition info on the game did not help. Had Riley told her to come just to spring it onto her? He didn't like the thought of that too much and still wondered what the deal was of not letting him know there was a game going on.
Jericho cringed a bit at the mention of Lizzy's horrible roll.
"Well... at least you didn't roll a 1, but no. There's not really anything you can do about the dice gods. They just... kinda do as they please," he mused, noting how serious Lizzy seemed to be pretty serious about this whole offering thing.

"I wonder what would have happened if I had rolled a 1... Or a 20..." She couldn't help wondering about that; actually, she was curious about all the results. From 1 all the way to 20... Pausing momentarily, she frowned slightly, tugging at the end of the towel around her neck as she tried not to dwell on it too much... Although it was almost impossible; oh great, now she's curious.
"We should get together and play some time," Her expression softened as she tried not to show how twitchy she was about the 'what would happen if I had rolled another number' question that was currently on her mind, "I'm still new at it though... Apparently it gets more complicated with more players? I'm willing to try though..."
If its you.
Nope, not enough courage to say that, although her cheeks were starting to redden at the thought of saying that to his face. Ugh, him appearing shirtless at the door was nice but threw her off completely!

"If you rolled a one, it means epic fail basically. And a twenty generally means you did really awesome," Jericho explained, still a little distracted with his thoughts on being left out. Shaking his head again, he tilted his head slightly as she said they should get together sometime.
"That would be awesome," he said, grinning again. He needed his fix.
"But yeah, it gets a little more complicated with more players, but a group of four to six is usually a good number. Not only would you interact with the NPCS but with each others characters," He added before blinking, "Though... what?"

She paused, noticing (now that she was no longer distracted by thoughts of him being shirtless and all) how he seemed to be a little off for some reason or another. Tilting her head before reaching out to tug on his wrist, she stood on tiptoes and patted him on his head, ruffling his hair in the process as she grinned, "The dice gods seem to like you though. Luck transfer!"
Her face had gone red again, but she didn't like seeing him like that.
"Four to six players...? Who do you normally play it with?" She had stopped ruffling his hair by now, but her hand was still holding onto his wrist. Not expecting him to catch the way her sentence had cut off before, her blush deepened in color as she shook her head, "A-ah, its nothing. I was just rambling! It was my first game, see, and it was interesting... I was just thinking how I wouldn't mind playing it again although the dice gods seem to dislike me."
